Yeah , except he has missed several games this year. Normally with a death they mention that , esp as generous as the bills mafia is supporting players in that situation. Personal reason can be mental health related in a variety of fields, like depression, anxiety, substance abuse etc. This has been a gradually developing situation over a few days, not a typical death in the family situation where the reason is shrouded by team, press etc. imho, something else is going on , and I am just going on a hunch based on behavioral patterns with Starr , but I am sensing he is close to being done with football. Perhaps that personal reason is they are giving him time to decide if he wants to retire now or finish the season. Mcd is loyal and classy that way , and like they say , where’s there’s smoke……….He has missed quite a few games with vague descriptions of the injuries or reasons. If he had a loss in the family , my condolences. It’s unusual tho , most players won’t miss a huge season determining game , saying Their lost one would have wanted them to play , and it’s a way to honor their memory. Just saying , something seems out of the ordinary , and this guy might have lost his passion to play. An undisclosed personal illness where he wishes privacy would certainly be possible. I know it’s just speculation , but based on the fact he was one of the few Bills who readily opted out of last year. He’s older. , at some point you reach a wall where you just can’t keep doing it. Not Vontae like , yet, but I think warning signs are there. Just some thoughts, hope you all had a merry Christmas with healthy families!

Beasley and Davis are pretty good for yac but Diggs always is looking to avoid hits. Goes oob, or slides a lot for a receiver. Knox also has pretty good yac !

Yeah, It’s disgusting watching brown push the first guy, then throw the second db to the ground on his break , yet nothing called. It’s unbelievable to watch how inconsistent games are called. Brown abused us as well and we also have no one to match up with him. He killed us as much as Henry.

Wow, is that their record when he throws an int? That’s why I’m a little concerned with Josh. He has like 9 turnovers in the past couple of months , usually one a game. Can’t do that with the pats or we will be in trouble. That has been his major area where he needs improvement.

One thing , and I’m sure people will be nasty to me saying this, but watching these teams and others this weekend, it just seems the Bills are not showing or playing with the same energy, passion , enthusiasm , intensity ( choose the adjective) this year consistently. See it sometimes , but not the same level we did last year for example. Just my opinion as a long time fan. Titans seem to at least be intense and enthusiastic. Funny , i was watching John Fina with Reuben Brown on Finas off tackle podcast on YouTube. I asked them if they thought edmunds could be used better or differently. Now he has zero PBU’s. Zero. ( as of 12/15 ) PFF ranks him as one of lowest LBs , 85% of targets in his responsibility area are completed , and his overall ranking is lower this year than his rookie year. Their ( Pff stats and ranking as they were doing draft show and mentioned past guys. Had edmunds as possible bust and Ford as a whiff ) stats and analysis, just saying. Fina/ Brown acted like I killed their dog! “ Who would we replace him with ?” Etc. All I asked was could he be used better, not benched ! Even our pros seem to accept mediocrity as ok! Lol ! like you said , here come the Titans! Terrible

Good point! Tho if he suddenly does something in the playoffs , it’s all worth it. No one will care about draft picks if he comes up big in a playoff game. Odds are against it but even Frank gore had a couple of good games before looking for his rocking chair ! 😀

When you see that bad of a call on replay , it amazes me the NFL can’t correct that in a few seconds. Refs influencing the games too much and no reason that can’t be fixed.

Would love to see Shanahan manage our O. Imagine what he could do with Josh and our group,,,,,,however we don’t have anyone with the power/ speed combo to match Samuels and Kittle is probably a better blocker than knox but that’s getting closer. Daboll is having a weird year. O is not terrible or bad but it stalls often and he has not been creative with play development this year. If he is saving it all for the playoffs , someone should tell him we have to get to the playoffs first. Would also be great to have a d with a premiere edge guy like bosa. Watching these teams who are peaking really points out our weaknesses and why we are another loss from a disappointing season.

Wow how bout that left tackle Williams from the 49 ers! Showed highlights of him just tossing d lineman. How many o lineman do we have like that ?…………………………………………."?……………. Yep, I was thinking our o lineman are a little deficient! Brown could be that guy tho! Any word on how our o line is setting up to look for Sunday yet? See we are 2.5 point dogs so that’s not too bad. This game is about coaching. BB will do something different and the ? Is can Frazier and Daboll finally adapt DURING A GAME ? It just seems like if they didn’t practice it the week before they have no ability to adjust while BB adjusts to things on the fly according to former players. Mcd s season in terms of success resides on this game. For now tho let’s go 49 ers! Man the season is flying by way too fast now.

Listen to a prior Bills o lineman , John Fina , prior left tackle with Kelly , Ruben brown etc. His pod cast on YouTube off tackle with Fina and Joe Miller is great on Monday nights on YouTube. He feels the technique is terrible , they are rarely given the chance to run block. And he thinks the vision of the backs is questionable. So it’s a perspective thing. I don’t think the line is all that terrible, it’s not great, but all those guys aren’t terrible either. It wasn’t the year before but the backs still were unimpressive. I do think motor has worked to improve but he is no Harris! You willl not improve the o with rookie guards and guards are rarely drafted in the first as they are not valued like tackles. There are many more of them than quality backs. Only Josh has run for 100 yards in a game in 2 years ! Even by chance a mediocre back does that more than zero times in two years. It’s the scheme , poor o line coaching and if you want to depend on rookie guards , we will be waiting another couple of years for development. Imho we need 1) a premiere three down back so we are not running predictable sets all the time , Give us another star like Josh , a back like that you can probably get late in the first round. Take the punishment and pressure off Josh ! 2) get a better o line coach , perhaps better o coordinator. Give that guy two or three free agents , one good vet and two guys with a year or two under their belt to coach up. Can improve within one off season. 3). Try to get a FA legit edge rusher as groot develops , basham develops, Addison and our other nameless De ( hughes) face retirement. We need to reconsider the constant rotation, esp of the edge rushers. Tasker pointed out recently edge guys have to get enough reps to set up moves to beat the tackles. They can’t do that with this constant rotation. Just being fresh is not equaling sacks as the bills are now # 28 in sacks of the NFL. . This scheme , either mcds or Frazier’s is not having the expected results. Keep doing the same and expect different results ??? 4) Please consider at least competition for MLB , and try using edmunds to go after the qb! He has what 3-4 ints in 4 years.? He could probably double the impact plays with sacks if he was used as an edge rusher more than an mlb. He is a good guy , great teammate, smart guy, but he lacks fluidity and when does he impact plays ! ? All we hear is he keeps qbs from throwing in an area! How do you evaluate a negative or prove why something doesn’t happen ? How do you prove a qb doesn’t throw in an area just because if edmunds; I have seen many games where routes are run right in front of him , Oh I forgot about the Tampa bay game where our pro bowl mlb could not make a play to save the game ! My main point is it’s not as simple as just fixing the lines. It’s coaching , it’s scheme , it’s doing more creative things with the backs and those backs need to have TALENT ! Sorry moss is no longer in college forcing business decisions , motor is improving but he can’t be our sole back if we want to extend Allens career ! If we want to shorten his career , keep depending on his legs rather than his arm and brain that resulted in how High he was drafted !

Do you know if he is vaccinated? I don’t remember reading that esp so close after actual infection ( I think the standard is not to vaccinate until 90 days after active infection,,,,certainly time has flown by tho). I don’t read all the stuff out there on the bills so have no idea if he was later vaccinated ? It seems like this would be false pos test as he had natural disease and from lectures I have seen , pretty rare to get second infection.even a variant, after natural infection. Of course maybe he has some other immune issue we are unaware of ? Hope he is ok and this is just a false pos test. Sure don’t need more hits to this o line !

Buck really did say his arms were shaking “ because it was cold for LA standards” on the field. That was postering, called decerebrate postering that occurs with arms extended , with tremors involuntary from head injury and head injury can also have concurrent spinal injury. No way in the world was that cold shivering which occurs over whole body to raise core temp. Now buck is not trained in traumatic head and spinal injuries so better if he just kept quiet like he said he should have. Luckily it turned out to just be a concussion and didn’t have any associated spinal injuries etc. He was already discharged from hospital. But that posturing is scary to see and I was afraid he might have had a spinal situation as well but that posturing is not uncommon after a traumatic brain injury or concussion.

Why do these refs all make obvious mistakes and get called out by refs in the booth? Bad look for nfl!
