  1. Past hour
  2. Well yeah. Cornelius Bennett was only like 2 years old during Cookie's last season with Denver. Was probably already hitting harder than Edmunds, though.
  3. Couldn’t the kick off rule change free up some special teams spots in order to carry extra D-line?
  4. If I was worth £10m+ I'd stay at home. Screw the wife. Or the husband. They can go to work. Luckily my partner is a workaholic we have agreed an age at which I am going part time. I enjoy my job, but I enjoy not being at work more.
  5. Ah, that makes a lot of sense. You're correct. That is, if I'm correct, in the rinse-wash-repeat sense of how to manage the receiver room, then you must be drafting to replenish the veteran departures. That does seem to be the way teams, including the Bills are running their running back room. Draft good running backs, and be prepared to let them walk when their contracts are up. Draft some more. And if that's correct, and I think it is, then the Bills should have drafted another receiver. Looking at it cold-heartedly, there's a good chance that one of Samuel, Shakir, or Coleman is going to let people down this season. I like to think that they'll all be good, but realistically, probably not. The veterans are only stopgaps, and just like the starter, one or more of MSV, Claypool, and Hollins going to wash out, more or less. There already should be someone else, waiting in the wings. Maybe they think Shorter is that guy.
  6. It won't be Toohill, it will be Smoot. I feel like most people on this board didn't notice his signing, as it came at the same time as Chase Claypool and Deion Jones. He's a much more productive and solid player than Toohill and signed for more money, including some guaranteed money (as opposed to Toohill) and a void year added.
  7. I have always been clear I think Shakir can be a good slot receiver (and indeed was last year). He can't play outside. The wing and the prayer were the outside guys. Shakir was the alligator armed slot receiver. But apparently that is the wrong reptile.
  8. We need pics to be sure. But make sure she’s in a golf outfit for the sake of this thread topic.
  9. This is where on the Autobahn in Germany you use your high beam, flashing it on and off. Even if takes a minute, eventually the slow driver will notice you and let you pass.
  10. Beane is not going to spend big bucks, and the guys who fit his budget are not going to make much difference. Solomon is going to get a chance to contribute as a pass rusher, as will Toohill.
  11. Or really rich dudes that it's realistic that their wife doesnt have to work and she's happily a stay at home mom so he formulated his opinion off of that and being a catholic traditionalist.. I don't agree with it but if i was worth 10+ M .. my wife would probably be stay at home, as well.
  12. To set things straight, my daughter would like to emphasize that the rhetoric degree is not a minor, but her second major. Her first major is in the STEM field.
  13. I think many are missing the real opportunity which is for a mere twenty-five grand, you can be almost assured of winning a 25,100 bucks!
  14. What evidence do you have to suggest that Von Miller is a washed up bum??? I'm confused. Are you putting out that state about 10+ sacks for 35+ players because you think it proves something? If it does, I think it proves my point more than yours.
  15. Drafting Javon Solomon and signing Dawuane Smoot to some guaranteed money Post Draft, after re-signing AJ Epenesa and signing Casey Toohill - I don't see it. We lost two guys and brought in 3 already, after retaining Epenesa. I don't see us keeping more than 5 DE's. Groot, Miller, and Epenesa (who got a pay raise, denoting a larger role) are 100% safe. Floyd was only brought in bc of Von being in the shape he was last season. With Miller having a full year and a full offseason away from the injury and Epenesa having taken a step forward (and being paid for it) - they feel they've got the side opposite Groot covered. I don't see Solomon getting cut where he was Drafted (and he was underdrafted where we took him). And I don't see Smoot being cut either, as his 2.5m contract with 1.75m guaranteed (with a void year added) is more than we usually pay for the 4th or 5th DE - so there's your 5. Smoot and Solomon will replace Epenesa and Shaq's roles last year. As it is, guys like Toohill and Jonathan are on the outside looking in. The one spot I see us adding to is Cornerback. Douglas replaced White and Hardy replaces Neal. But we've done nothing to replace Dane Jackson on the Outside. And with Benford being hurt a lot and Elam still a massive question mark, I don't see us rolling with just Ja'Marcus Ingram or a UDFA beyond them to replace Dane's spot on the 53.
  16. One of the issues that keeps coming up is the Bills supposedly don’t have a WR that can “stretch the field”, i.e. run fast. With Claypool, MVS, Hamler, and Isabella plus Shakir and Samuel who both have speed, can we now all agree that is taken care of? Good.
  17. Yeah like I said, that 2018 Bills WR corps helped produce the fewest points thru 8 games of any NFL team in the SB era. In hindsight, that might be the absolute lowest point in the history of the Bills with regard to combined WR/TE/RB talent. But remember that at this time of the offseason in 2018: 1) Kelvin Benjamin was still expected to play like a 60 ypg backend WR1 in the NFL 2) It was presumed 2nd round pick Zay Jones would make big strides in an expanded role 3) Charles Clay had averaged 600 yards per season over the previous 5 seasons(558 in 2017) 4) LeSean McCoy was coming off a 1,000 yard season Every homer on TSW expected as good or better production each of them in 2018 and was glad to tell me so when I laughed at the unimpressive cast of playmakers they'd "assembled". There was even talk about McCoy using the TB12 method to avoid hitting the RB wall (I sh!t you not). -Benjamin put up a 37% catch rate and an impossible 22.6 pass rating when targeted and 7 INT when targeted -Zay Jones was terrible as well........76.9 passer rating when targeted with 5 INT attributed -Clay produced just 184 yards and 60.4 pass rating when targeted -McCoy was pathetic with 514 yards on 3.2 ypc
  18. But you didn't plan for the 17th game, will be NFC west, likely SF at Buffalo
  19. People were all concerned about having a deep threat that can stretch the field. With Hamler, MVS, Claypool and Isabella all in the fight, not to mention Shakir and Samuel who have speed, can we finally put that to rest?
  20. If we can stamp out the scourge of “biphobia”, which no one had ever heard of prior to this tweet from President Brandon, that will be the first step towards something or other. Shouldn’t be too hard as it’s not really a thing.
  21. He did not say that about his wife. He said that his wife would say her life truly started when she began living her vocation as a wife and mother. If you are going to parse words be accurate. By implication he is telling the women in the audience their only vocation if they want their life to truly start is to be a wife and mother. That other vocations don’t count.
