  1. Past hour
  2. I would say an N of 2 isn’t much. Again, he can say what he wants and some may agree. From the reaction it seems many don’t including the Order of sisters who sponsor the school, I believe. No one is saying balancing career and family is easy. What the women I have talked to about it object to is the idea that the only real identity women have are as wives and mothers. Tell you what really amazed me is his clarification where he said he’d like to go back to a time where women cared more about babies than thoughts. That he is intimating that women should not have thoughts is simply absurd no matter your religious persuasion.
  3. To each their own, but I like the philosophy/approach that Beane has taken. Don't agree with "not prioritizing" though. I wish he would have invested more in OL sooner. And he has a so-so track record.at front 7, much better at LB and avg/below avg at DL, IMO. This is the buzz topic for most, so not looking to rock the boat in this topic. But I continue to think a strong DL/OL, with a great QB wins championships...we don't see a lot of track meet SBs, or teams win it that don't have the formula listed above. Agree with you 100% on not drafting 3 WRs in a single draft. If we look back to 2020-current though: 2020: Diggs, Gabe 2021: instead of drafting a WR, they liked Manny 2022: Shakir 2023: Kincaid 2024: 2nd technically, but should count as a 1st given we would have taken Coleman or another WR at 28 I see your point being more inaccurate, but thats just my point of view on how much you consider "prioritizing". Since 2020, we've used 3 1sts, a 4th, and a 5th on weapons. Then a 2nd on Cook, and a 3rd on Moss. So that's 3 out of 5 years, using a 1st round pick at a receiver/tight end. Then some later picks/mixed with FA signings. They saw Gabe as a suitable #2/3, and now putting faith in Shakir to take a higher role. I'd say that's much better than "not prioritizing". It's not the best group on paper, Beane has self created some cap issues. But it's a decent group with potential. Mainly riding on Brady as a OC, and faith in the young receivers taking advantage of their opportunities week-to-week. Kincaid, Samuel, Shakir, Coleman, MVS. Then Cook, Knox, Hollins, and Davis/Johnson. It's a good enough group with better playcalling, OR if one the young guys surprises with a bigger season than expected. If both happen, we will be a top 3 offense. If 1 happens, we should be in the top 5-8. If neither happens, we're likely in the 10-15 range. I like Brady alot, so I'm confident that box will at least be checked.
  4. I don’t. But I still don’t care.
  5. I am canceling my Kansas City Chiefs season tickets Enough is enough
  6. Are you consistent with that view point or are you good with people who break laws that you feel are unjust and are immoral?
  7. Of course. They're the minority of women who choose to speak out and vocalize on social media because it gives them validation and endorphins. I don't value social media opinions. They're worthless, like most people espousing them.
  8. There are about 1.7% intersex people in this country. The doctors don't even know who they are and assign gender by outward presentation... ...What does that equate to in a country of 350 million. 1-2 per 1,000 live births. 6 million? Yeah... Let's marginalize 6 million people. /sarcasm
  9. I'm certain that Roundy is prepared to sternly condemn Biden for these racist comments.
  10. Are you referring to the Cheatriots? They never had this many problems in one year. In fact, we might need to go back to the Bengals to find a franchise with this many internal problems.
  11. Funny 2 of the 3 women I spoke to on this topic agreed with Butker. Perhaps not supisingly my wife and sister agreed with him. Both are middle age professionals with Masters level degrees who now feel like they were sold a bill of good about having it all. The dissenter is my daughter who just entered the workforce as a professional. Grrrl power seems to appeal more to women who haven't yet had to decide to what extent the want to balance career versus motherhood
  12. If Coleman doesn’t work versus trading up into the top 10, at least we were also able to land players like Bishop and Carter who also can potentially contribute to this team. Plus, we still have a 1st and two 2nd round picks in next year’s draft, to take some other swings. But to get one of the top three WRs in this year’s draft, would have needed to give up a lot of that draft capital and put a lot of eggs into one basket, while leaving more holes on other parts of the team.
  13. Everyone smokes weed who cares? Were they driving or just possession?
  14. It would be of interest to see if it’s women or conservative men buying his jersey. As I’ve said here he has the right to his opinion and I and others have the right to ours. I can tell you the women I’ve seen comment on it are pissed by and large.
  15. Was that the guy driving an Uber that a BLM mob surrounded and the BLM guy he ended up shooting had an AK47? Apologize if i'm wrong but I think the protester he shot was white.
  16. the center from Georgia in the draft is another steal. He will start this year and do really well. He'd be the top center in most drafts, IMO. He allowed 0 sacks and only 1 hit total the last two years.
  17. We're getting warmer!! How bout 12 years, 1.4 Billion, fully guaranteed at signing
  18. The biggest selling jersey of the last week. 🤷🏼‍♂️ I am amazed how people groupthink and isolate themselves. Especially here. This is a community of maybe 200-300 regularly active users. High users probably under 100. Of them they are folks who specifically sought out an online venue to hyper focus on their favorite sports team. These folks generally share traits I've noticed over the last few years. Many in some sort of tech field, for example. Many whom have limited experience playing organized sports, as well. If we hyper focus on this issue like we do the Bills we end up forgetting there is a whole lot bigger world out there and forget the Bluffton University existence. Or the Iowa Wesleyan University. Or BYU. Or Liberty. A lot of people don't hold views like us and appreciate when someone like Butker is willing to do something many are afraid to in today's world: mention them.
  19. In the Bills behind the scenes of the draft video they released, back at the combine after Coleman turned in his disappointing 40 time Brandon Beane said he was pleased that his time was slow so they would be able to get him at 28. Clearly they were interested in him well before the draft.
  20. Campbell had 7 sacks last year. I'd try for a 1 year deal with him. He might want to play for a contender.
  21. I have a transgender person in my family. Being transgender is not something somebody chooses or learns, and "dysphoria" doesn't come close to describing what transgender people suffer because of the mismatch between their biological sex and their gender identification. They know they are "miswired" even as very young children. This statement is bogus. Maybe you have 1 Catholic "friend" who has 9 kids, but having 9 kids is just as uncommon among American born Catholics as it is among Americans of any other faith. I was born Catholic during the baby boom, and families with 9 kids were exceedingly rare even then.
