A Few Thoughts about the Falcons Game - Community Edition

Without Allen this is a 6 win roster. And the way they're playing this season maybe with him. This might be nothing but when I see Josh in a half-dozen TV commercials I start thinking he's not so focused on football anymore. With all that, this team's problems are the result of bad personnel decisions. Both drafting and free agency. Look at this year's draft. Hawes and Walker, that's it. Last year not any better. Lots of free agent dollars on a defensive line that can't stop the run or pressure the QB. Smaller players always hurt. No WR help when guys like Pickens and Metcalf were available for the right price other teams are willing to pay. In the draft Beane trades up and reaches for players that likely would be available by staying put. Is he trying to improve the roster or showing how "smart" he is as a GM? McDermott seems like a good leader but I don't see any growth as a game manager or strategist. Brady seems to have regressed and Babich I see nothing creative. The owner? Just look at the Sabres. This Bills teams needs a major reset in the front office, coaching, and personnel. Without some miracle coming out of the bye, the party is over for this group. -
As the saying goes, you can’t fire the players, so I believe Babich is done.

Was that quotefrom Hogboy? -
My initial post got tons of eye rolls, thumbs down, and vomit emojis. Keon is not a very good WR How do you like me now, doubters?
-
Exactly. This is why on Gameday I refuse to get on the board as people don’t think clearly when we lose. I thought the same the sky was falling last year after Baltimore and Houston, then we beat the Ravens in the playoffs. We are severely banged up, and yes, we have to trade for a CB. Even Douglas would be better than Tre.

If you took this poll after 13 seconds, there would have been 20% in favor of firing him. And that 20% would have been right.

Why does it look like our LBs are always so far behind the line? There seems to be so much space in the box. Pre snap you can see there are going to be holes. There’s nothing about this defense that makes an ounce of sense. It’s impossible to build on anything when you feel like the other team can’t be stopped. Even from a time of possession standpoint. It makes you feel like you can’t ever get behind. If you don’t think that effects our own offense you are nuts. The offense has so much pressure on them. Also why are we kicking off to start every game? We operate as if we make stops. We should be petrified of our own defense. Instead we play field position like we might be able to use it. We punt and 4 plays later they are already back to where we punted from. Does this guy watch the games ever? It’s like a rerun. Somehow we play the same game on defense every week for 7 straight years. It’s amazing how it’s always the same. I can almost tell you how a drive is going to go before it starts when the other team has the ball. You can feel it. It’s sickening -
Part of the issue last night was Allen. I think the big issue now is to look at the training staff. This injury list is becoming a big issue. This is NOT a playoff team without McDermott. Allen is great but no line and he would be garbage.

Went “ on the record” three seasons ago. About two seasons ago I realized that Beane needed to go too. Chances are well over 50% that Josh is not winning a SB, imo. It’s been brought to my attention that this message really bothers a bunch on here…….oh well🤷♂️ The last three years have been a monumental waste.
-
Mine is a resounding yes. And it’s not a knee jerk because I’ve been on that train since 13 seconds.
-
Likely for whoever Beane trades for to try and save the season like he does every year. I’d assume Olave, Shaheed, or maybe Jakobi Meyers since Gino refuses to throw him the ball.
-
My take is the play was there but Josh panicked and tried the flip thing. Not converting was on Josh.
-
I just never understood that pick. Nothing about it felt right. Ladd seemed like the “process” guy. I don’t even want to hear detractors say “but Shakir”, as if having another player who can actually run routes and get separation would be a bad problem to have. I’ve said it numerous times, Brandon Beane’s resume is essentially Josh Allen. That trade back was just as bad as standing pat and letting the Chiefs leapfrog him for McDuffie, and then settling for Elam instead. I’m not even sure how Bills fans can get excited for drafts anymore with his boom/bust ratio. Josh & Cook aside, there’s no boom with his players it’s either serviceable or bust.

I hope you’re right about 12 wins. I can’t look that far ahead but the Panthers and Chiefs look way better than the Bills right now. I believe the Bills are staring at 4 - 4. This defense is terrible and our receivers aren’t much better. -
Did we already miss the window with Josh

They’ll just pick the wrong guy anyway. -

McDermott and most coaches needed to be replaced. Bean may as well. We can’t tackle, we lack fundamentals, any we are undersized at a few positions. We is a joke. -

The Bills best victory was against a 1-5 Ravens team. Fraud alert - Today

My god, do you hear that? It’s Gabe Davis’ music!

Why stop there, let’s just keep going back. Let’s bring Doug Whaley back. Hot take alert, but I legit think if he’d drafted Josh, this team would be better off with him at the helm. -

No.. The roster has just been very poorly managed around him the last few years -
Joe Marino on the Bills Squad Show … “Keon is a limited player …he is only going to be able to help you in limited ways ..”
-
That’s not his bag- that’s bonus. Hawes is a key component to our run game. I bet you liked Alex Anderson’s role last year. Anderson hardly sees the field, because Hawes is such a devastating blocker

Go on record... Fire McDermott?
Delete_Delete_Delete replied to Heavy Kevi's topic in The Stadium Wall
Beane and McDermott both should be gone. If Beane was going to get another chance, he should’ve done his job and found a new coach when McDermott couldn’t get it done with homefield vs KC. That should’ve been the last reasonable chance for him to get to the dance. The rest of the league is clearly catching up, McDermott’s brand of ball is not going to get it done. Beane’s drafts have largely been mediocre/bad. The answer is just languishing down there in North Carolina. Defense wouldn’t be a liability with him running the show. I also can’t think of anybody who would be more motivated or more qualified to go win atleast one more Super Bowl. -
Joe has a pathetic short yardage playbook. I’m sick of his “cute” offense. Two weeks in a row we ran a complicated Jet Sweep with JAGs,both times fumbled. We can’t scheme WR matchups, too little play action, abandons run.
