  1. Past hour
  2. They could be worse. We got a number of lucky bounces and other bits of good fortune to win some close ones. Remember when Zuerlein missed a 32 and 43 yard FG and the BIlls beat the Jets 23-20? And then it took a 61-yard FG to beat the Fins two week later. Both of those games could have gone the other way. Most NFL games come down to a play or two. This past year we made those plays more often than not, at least until the AFCCG.
  3. As I’ve always said, you can’t base strength of schedule until the year has been played out. Basing it off results from a year before is useless.
  4. Really not that weird. Especially this time of year and with FA's that came in for a visit and left without a contract. Browns just officially signed and announced Diontae Johnson today as well and that was done before Moore.
  5. They are worse. Many of them are gang members who have no loyalty or decorum whatsoever. Much more dangerous and once infiltrated it's tough to find them. They aren't lined up in a field wearing bright red coats
  6. I think we need a Cheese-o-Meter to track this feeling until opening day. I'll be checking in regularly.
  7. So our current illegal aliens are just like the Redcoats sent by Order of King George. Yeah, right.
  8. All I can say is, "Dont be an uneducated emotional idiot"
  9. 2021 opener in terms of pain wasn't bad for me for three reasons: 1. Just having fans back and COVID going rearview mirror was so reliving and refreshing 2. PIT was a solid team still and BUF while good was not fully established yet.. so hiccups were not a surprise and Buffalo wasn't awful as much as the offense just had some miscues. 3. The Bills had a very favorable schedule and figured it out in the first half before that weird middle happened and they still got it together to be rolling at seasons end. Also my youngest son was born 2 days before the game. We were just happy to be home with home and our family so it was just nice having football by that point haha.
  10. No worries, it's a Latin etymology from nesciens "ignorant, to be unknowing", and related to the more common "prescient" to which it is the ne-gation. Let me point out that no invective is directed your way, just at the ESPN guy. I know their network has fallen off but they're hardly even trying with stuff like that. It just pissed me off being the irst thing with my morning coffee because I'm old and foul-tempered.
  11. Gotta go where the people are. Going to a hotel bar isn't the same as getting raving drunk at a hotel bar. The ability for a 20 something to go out in a social setting where alcohol is present and act appropriately demonstrates maturity that many can't.
  12. My sister lives in Appleton, and that’s where the Bills stayed when they played there a few years ago. It was kind of cool watching the team come off the buses at the hotel. It was also cool how I kept hearing “welcome to Wisconsin” as I went around town wearing my Bills gear.
  13. So the British invade and they have to capture them 1 by 1 and have a jury trial? Riiiiight. That's not what they intended and you know it.
  14. If this goes on an energy vector, I'm not interested, because I don't think the Iran issue has anything to do with our interest in this, which is legitimate and important. Iran is run by a lunatic who thinks he is directed by Allah to destroy not only Israel, but the rest of the non Muslim world. Energy is a red herring, in my view.
  15. I had a fun time in Green Bay. It was great seeing Lambeau Field and I love the draft. The Packer fans were great and it was neat seeing all the neighborhood houses right next to the stadium. That being said, I wasn't staying in Green Bay. It was too damn expensive. I had to fly into Milwaukee, which was a lot cheaper than flying into Green Bay, and I had to stay in Appleton, which was a good 30 miles away from Green Bay. The price gouging by the local businesses is disgusting, so you have to watch your money. Thankfully there wasn't any of that in Appleton. Green Bay was nice, but still too small for the event.
  16. To be fair to the OP, the only accurate season prediction you could have made is that the Bills would NOT win the Super Bowl. )
  17. As far as geopolitical risks to the U.S.: given our energy independence/dominance, I'd say that the Russian New Imperialism is a much more serious one. I notice that oil imports (other than Venezuela) were not tariffed. Why not? If you want to encourage U.S. production and marginalize the Middle East as a threat to U.S. security, that would seem to me to be the best solution. After all, a cartel is kind of the definition of a manipulated market. But I guess Trump couldn't stomach the fear of increased prices at the pump. Off topic, Sherpa, and probably belongs in the tariffs thread: would you expect tariffs on European (and other) wine imports to impact your wine business? My guess is that they won't, and that world trade in wine and encourages the development of wine aficionados (to use a snobby term) and is ultimately good for small producers everywhere, and that something like tariffs on foreign wine will be counterproductive. Maybe it would help at the very low end, but I can't see any help for smaller or boutique U.S. wineries. Thoughts?
  18. Irony is Miami buffalo was week 1 a lot during the 80/90s
  19. Yeah, but you can still get your kicks….”That’s all folks”!
  20. Well they did require due process, so they didn't make it impossible, just a little more fair. Sorry if you don't like it; maybe this isn't the country and constitution for you?
  21. Behaving like ethnically ambiguous? What are you talking about?
  22. They still haven't paid for the wall so I wouldn't count on it.
