Well, he only averages $12M/yr. I’m not sure where that ranks among MLBs, but I can’t image it’s even top 10. I think that amount is fair based on his 2024 performance and may be even a touch cheaper. If his 2023 output was his standard, he should at the very least be paid like a top 3 MLB.

Keon drops 60 in Damar's celebrity basktball gam

I have family in the NFL world and let me tell you - playing basketball in a charity game is one of the safer things these guys do. There is a higher chance of an injury lifting weights than they do dunking a basketball. These are testosterone fueled animals, they are crazy in the offseason. This stuff is much safer than letting these guys out on their own accord lol -
Allen Lamar Burrow Mahomes these are the only currently elite QBs… once you get to 5-10 it’s all about preferences and projection.

Damn, wish I got some money from the one I attended. Maybe I didn’t fill out the right form.

Are Fan Expectations Too High for Keon Coleman?

Yep - i also think people tend to look at players numbers without context, and any evaluation of the other nuances and responsibilities of the position. -

Did you watch the video of Keon playing basketball? Josh Allen does play basketball but comparing his play to Keon's, again as I have already stated is an absurd reach. And you comments that Allen could hurt his back on a swing or tear an ACL playing softball, all I can say is we are clearly not going to agree on this. No I dont want them in bubble wrap just use some common sense. This is why a lot of teams in their contracts explicitly detail what the players can not participate in. -
I have truly enjoyed some legitimate political conversations with many on the right over the past few weeks. Then this tin foil holder jumps in. 😂 “because indeed many were.” My post above asks all the pertinent questions to this massive conspiracy laden payday that millions got for showing up. Man, that tab must be in the billions! But “tHe dEEp sTaTe” must have bottomless pockets. 😂 Here ya go, conspiracy troll; I’ll save ya the clicks: “You pretend to have ignored posts by stevestojan” and, the fan favorite, ⬆️ Hoax.

A reach? A guy who plays basketball his whole life dunking isn't some high probability injury situation, the over reaction IMO is a bit of a reach. And guys have hurt their ankles rounding bases or chasing balls in softball plenty of times too. Also not a high probability for risk, but definitely not an absurd comparison either. Point is - this wasn't that serious and nothing outside the ordinary of what professional athletes do in the offseason either. On the risk factor scale on what they could be doing, this was pretty low. -

Exactly, but unfortunately the insane level of nonstop homerism on this site doesn't allow for pragmatic thinking like this We just need to be good fans and agree that going full-Space Jam carries the exact same amount of risk for an ACL tear as playing croquet with young children on the front lawn. -
Again, not saying Kelley is better than Allen. I was just pointing out that the poster that said “there is not one thing that Kelly is better than Josh at” was wrong. I disagree. Kelly is currently better than Josh at getting to the superbowl. I never said it was because of Kelly the team got there. I never said that crappy quarterbacks who end up in the Super Bowl because they were blessed to be on great teams are great QBs. I was also not saying Kelly’s leadership, ability, personality, etc was the reason the team got to the Super Bowl. In fact, I never said Kelly was the reason the team made all those superbowls, or that that without Kelly, the wouldn’t have made any of them. I just pointed out a factual inaccuracy. As of today, factually, Kelly is/was better at getting to Superbowls than Josh. I’m also not saying it’s Josh’s fault or lack of leadership or ability that has prevented the team from getting to the Superbowl. Whether Kelly caused his team to make superbowls, or Josh prevented his team from making them is, in fact, unknowable.

True BUT the poster has a legit point, doing windmill dunks so high in the air is taking it too far imo, he very easily could have hurt an ankle, comparing it to Josh Allen playing softball is an absurd reach. If I was McDermott i would not be very happy. -
Are Fan Expectations Too High for Keon Coleman?
HappyDays replied to JohnNord's topic in The Stadium Wall
No the expectations are right where they should be. He was taken in a WR heavy draft which means the talent was pushed down the board, and we had our pick of 7 different WRs before we traded down. So if Beane and the scouting staff did their jobs properly then Coleman should be expected to develop into at least a solid WR2. That means he needs to be a regular contributor and get a minimum of around 800 yards. Now if he doesn't hit that in year two does that mean he's a bust? Of course not. But this year you want to see meaningful progress leading in that direction if nothing else. -

Are Fan Expectations Too High for Keon Coleman?
Don Otreply replied to JohnNord's topic in The Stadium Wall
Fans are very likely to over and or under estimate what players will do, especially, fans mistakenly assume that when a player is cleared to play after injury they Are at 100% performance level, when in fact they aren’t close to that level of output, an example is what we all know, it takes a full season post being cleared to play for an ACL injury to be ready to go full tilt, yet we all hear the incessant blathering that the player’s career is over, washed, bust etc etc , fans are freaking nuts on a good day, lol 😁🍸🚬
