You want a general manager to be up against the cap each season to try and put the best roster around their elite QB. It just makes in season moves more difficult.

Of the top of my head, the Bungles Offensive Stars have skipped pre season games recently and they are 4-8 last 3 years in September! They are ALL playing this year! Don’t like what the Bills are doing- at all.

The Tyrod team needed a miracle from the Bungles to get that playoff spot in the last week of the season. We also scored 3 points in that playoff game. Serious question, do you think this current roster would make the playoffs playing 17 games with Trubisky or White at QB? Also, if McD is such a great defense coach why is it that his defense is the reason we have lost in the playoffs the last 4 seasons?

Brutal. This was my draft crush and I was bummed when he didn’t make it to us (like we thought he wouldn’t). Then the passing of him post draft night and now this? Awful .

Way too much pessimism on this thread. I don't think it would be like this if it wasn't for the Chicago preseason game. For starters, we have no idea how Tre is. But more importantly - as much as I love the guy - our season didn't & doesn't hinge on his good health. He was likely going to start a few games, but ultimately, he's a depth piece.

I still remember Beane talking about how the team was in salary cap ‘hell’ when he took over. And yet every year we are up against the cap and over. I love Beane but I think he has an arrogance and defensiveness about him that is unflattering.

Then who can we win a Super Bowl with?
