What's the first position the Bills draft in 2026?
GunnerBill replied to Cash's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think the Bills have some glue guys. Its bona fide, difference making, stars they lack. -
I was a poor starving grad student in Lincoln, NE in 1973 when OJ ran for 2003 yards. Because it was the first regular season game to be held in then Rich Stadium, the game between the Bills and Patriots was broadcast nationally, so I got to watch OJ ran for 250 yards against them. I also got to watch the Jets game in which he ran for 200 yards to get the magic 2003 yards for the season because that was nationally televised, too. Good times, but who knew what was to come? OJ was easily the greatest Bills player prior to the Glory Years teams, and he remains one of the greatest of all time in team and NFL history today. I feel very sad -- and somewhat angry -- that what he did in his post-NFL career was so awful that his football achievements can't be a cause for celebration

Bills First Rnd pick in 2025 draft: Maxwell Hairston - CB - Kentucky
GunnerBill replied to Simon's topic in The Stadium Wall
It looked like lateral knee instability was what the trainer on the field was looking for. If not an ACL it is likely an MCL. If sprained he could be on the field in a month. If torn he might be on IR until Thanksgiving. -
run forest.. lol

Of course Sherman and kam and Bobby were the stars Bennett would be better than any edge rusher we've had in the last 7 years lol Chris Clemens was coming off of 3, 10 plus sack seasons, and Bruce Irvin was a speed rushing nightmare.. not to mention mebane and red are huge run stuffers They might not have been stars but they destroyed teams all year.. they did wreck games Sure the stars were the safeties and earl and Bobby.. but the guys I named were glue -
did you tag Al Cowlings Taxi Service?

Bills First Rnd pick in 2025 draft: Maxwell Hairston - CB - Kentucky
NewEra replied to Simon's topic in The Stadium Wall
1st rd pick goes down with an unknown injury and this is what you post. Well done -
He did have a very nice persona, but as a human being he was never really the fine person we thought he was. (Then again, no one could live up to the reputation that he had. But still...)

Like Utah John suggested, try differentiating between the player and the person. Ive heard cringy things about some Bills players in the past, but I will always cheer for the Bills. The saying is true, with 17 being the exception, You don't want to meet your heroes. It is another example of Buffalo Bills history of cruelty, that the most famous and talented Bill ended up being a psychopathic killer. I understand it being a difficult minefield. But OJ brought much joy and hope to Buffalo in the 70s, and for that I will cherish my football memories.

The stars on that D were Wagner, Sherman and the safeties. Their front 7 aside from that was decent but the stars were the MLB and the DBs. -
Would have been smart to do, Ted would have covered a whole lot of space🤩

JA - top notch (just another day at the office)

NFL Players in Hot Water for Scalping SB Tix

Every player in the NFL does not get a pair of Super Bowl tickets. Every player in the NFL has the right to buy Super Bowl tickets at face value. Players on participating teams get complimentary tickets. -

O line and front seven ... That builds any competent NFL team... U want to rebuild a team that is where you start The colts don't have a great front seven.. the browns have a good one, but they have plenty of other ineptitude holding them back.. dude they gave hundreds of millions of dollars to a guy who flashes masseuses... Besides getting a bonafide star QB which is also luck.. building your defensive front seven is the quickest way to stay in NFL games and having a offensive line that keeps your quarterback upright And the Seahawks had Bobby Wagner KJ wright and Bruce Irvin at LBr Michael Bennett and Cliff Avril on the defensive line.. Chris Clemons , red Bryant , Brandon mebane That is a very good front seven especially back in 2013.. they had very good sack production and guys like red Bryant were run stuffing machines .. Bruce Irvin coming off the edge as an outside linebacker with Bobby Wagner and KJ wright That is far from even just average, that's SB quality -
My problem is that, whenever I start to think about my good OJ memories, I begin to feel guilty about it. So, then I think - OJ, why did you have to do what you did? You were such a good player and such a seemingly nice representative of Buffalo and my childhood. That leads me to feeling guilty again, this time because I am feeling sorry he messed up my memories as if I was some sort of victim, when the real victims are the people who are dead and those that knew them. OJ is a difficult minefield for me to navigate.

If Hairston has sustained a serious injury, get ready for the Swiss cheese secondary again. I don’t expect Tre White to remain healthy all season given injuries and age and, welp what are we looking at then?

This is crazy to say but I think that might be the reason they don’t resign him. That and Grable.
