Impressed with Peterman's poise and touch. Maybe the Bills got one right for the first time in a millennium. -

Thus the Marv-ism, "Over-officious jerk." Maybe, maybe not. But even if so, I appreciate when a person can describe the same thing differently than 20 people before him... and place it in a perspective that's not wholly negativity-based. -

Good Night / Bad Night - Pre-season game 1
HappyDays replied to GunnerBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
Hoecht isn't getting cut, he's on a 3 year deal and the team knew about the suspension before they signed him. Ogunjobi I wonder about though. The team didn't know about his suspension until after signing him and it's just a 1 year deal so easier to get out of. They kept 4 DTs last year and 5 DTs in 2023. Oliver, Jones, Walker, Sanders, Carter, Ogunjobi makes 6 so there has to be an odd man out there. Ogunjobi has barely been mentioned in training camp reports and today there was a noticeable decline in interior pass rush when he replaced Sanders. So what is his path to the roster? Either we surprise cut or trade Carter, or there is an injury in the room before Ogunjobi's suspension is up. If neither of those things happen I think we might just cut him after his suspension ends and he'll have no one to blame but himself. -

avoiding very good vs picking on mediocre is kind of a distinction without much difference. I guess if benford went down tre would see a couple less maybe? -
Agree its preseason, but I didn't know you had to game plan tackling? Thought that was a skill they should have learned in college.

I said the same thing after the draft but was told he was only a possibility. One of the worst moments was that screen pass to his side. Very bad awareness and not exactly the best effort to tackle the RB either. -

Agree with every single one of these except the last one. For the first time maybe ever I liked Hamlin’s game. -

there’s also the reality that no one wants to watch backups get flagged mercilessly in a meaningless exhibition so some of those “every play has a hold” judgement calls go towards letting the clock run with a lot of crews -
Good Night / Bad Night - Pre-season game 1

I think Shavers makes it because he’ll have an important role as gunner on special teams. They can have Davis or one of the young DBs return kicks. I’m also thinking Samuels gets an injury settlement. -

Didn't watch the game but by all descriptions so far Jackson is AJE 2.0. Any other GM in the league and this board would go nuts if they signed one let alone two PED guys. If the rookies can do anything hope they both get cut before they come off suspension. -
Josh's 30 second yawn closeup was enough to put me out. Did I miss anything?

Gonna tune in, watch a meaningless game, watch a little 3rd down defense, full of hope…..

The thread is fine but this one is amusing. Do you really feel this way considering the context? -

I believe his MO is to clap louder and longer... it's kind of a passive/aggressive form of positivity. No way... Ralph is cheap. Maybe the assumption is that Bass will be back and the other guy is just an emergency placeholder? You're crying aren't you? At least you could watch the game. 😅 Being able to ride a kid's scooter? I agree. Do you want to tell him or should I? Especially with rookies you're hoping that one or two of them meet or exceed expectations. It looks like that burden is going to fall on Sanders and Walker. Exactly correct. Out of 3, it's most likely that one isn't ready to contribute. Average at best physically, way better than average as far as understanding the position. As the son of an eventual HOFer, it's not surprising. Gimme Canada Dry or Vernors. "On Monday the Bills announced the hiring of retired, former Head Coach Chan Gailey. The 73 year old Gailey who coached the Bills from 2010 through 2012 will return in the capacity of Senior Advisor for Screen Passes." In fairness he's been suffering from migraines on account of not being able to find an approved helmet to fit his 9.75" skull. Thank you... it took 55 pages. Yes, it's just as likely that they were avoiding Benford than they were picking on Tre. You have a very dry sense of humor. -
Surprises from Giants Pre-Season Game on 8/9/25

Yep, defensive line was a no show and the Giants front 4 held the Bills in check to say the least. First preseason game out of the way at least. -
Tasker is fine. I don't get why so many complain about him. They are probably the same ones who complain about any media or podcast or radio show that is at all positive about the Bills.
