We’re 4-0 and everything is great. We turn the ball 3 times after scoring 30+ in every game and the pitch forks are out- revamp everything or we have no chance. Week 6 is approaching. Everybody should eat on this team with Cook and Kincaid being the focal points of the pass game. I think (and certainly hope) that this will be the case come playoff time if they are healthy. But everyone will continue to eat and I’m good with that

Just because you lose to an "inferior" opponet, that does not automatically define it as a trap game. Neither team played well most of the game. Drake Maye made some outstanding plays in the fourth quarter but overall, his play was maybe only slightly above average. Yet, the Bills lost. They lost because they were unfocused, sloppy, and had multiple turnovers and penalties. They phoned in their game, plain and simple. THAT is what made this a trap game. You can play an "inferior" team and play well, yet still lose. If that so called inferior team plays at a higher level than they have in the past weeks. That is just part of the game. Any given Sunday as they say. Had both teams played well and the Bills still lost, that isn't a trap game. That is just getting out played and getting beat.

Game week thread - Bills at Falcons MNF
Special K replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
Here's to hoping Atlanta's QB doesn't bring the "Big Penix Energy" on Monday Night. This has got to be a "Get Right" Game for the Bills.....with all the poor officiating and self-inflicted wounds, the Bills only lost on a last second FG....they should've won that game by 10+ points if they just didn't shoot themselves in the foot. I feel bad for Atlanta if the Bills come into the game an efficient, mistake-free, focused group. Go Bills!! -
Trump’s glorious Golden Age of America is here

Well frank, none of this would be necessary if Biden didn't make a mockery of our border laws. You need to own this. -
I'm more bummed about the offensive strategy once we had first down at the Pats 30 yard line with about 3-4 minutes left.

Game strategy continues to elude McD

He not a big game coach, without Allen he be coaching the D-Line at William and Mary. Good players coach and culture guy, but not going to take us to the promise land. -
If the D would start tackling players instead of the turf, we'd probably see better production and have a healthier squad.

As far as Shakir goes, does anyone else think we are hurting ourselves having someone back there just fair catching punts??? Obviously, I dont wanna see Shakir get hurt bu maybe Samuels or Moore might be better suited to try and get some yardage on the punts. Not saying they are more expendable than Shakir, but.... To be fair, Bernard, Johnson, Rapp and Benford haven't been exactly stellar either!
-
wait are you serious? a 2-3 game lull that costs us vs inferior opponents...this literally happens every yr
-
We should have bit the bullet, moved up in the draft and gotten Justin Jefferson........but alas, our FO figured Diggs was worth trading our 1st for instead. I mean, give me JJ all day long, but what do i know.......

They are equally forgettable even if you live in Atlanta. Maybe once or twice a month I’ll see a Falcons hat, shirt or bumper sticker. (Just try to imagine no Bills gear in WNY.) I can’t even get out of my neighborhood without driving past UGA flags flying. The Braves get a little attention when they are good, but college football rules here, PERIOD. I even see more Atlanta United FC MLS stuff than Falcons. Odd, I know. 🤷♂️

Or they demanded that Russ allow Skyline to sell a "Dangeruss Spicy 3-Way," and Cierra said no.
-
Add in Benford. I disagreed with it because he’s never finished playoffs for us. Right now he just looks terrible

The everyone eats mentality is not the problem. At least, not when it comes to the loss to the Patriots. They (The Bills) got caught in the "Trap Game", looking past the Patriots to either the Falcons or the bye week. McD usually has not fallen victim to the trap game, and typically keeps the team focused. That obviously did not happen this past week. The mental mistakes and miscues were so far beyond ridiculous that it was to the point of sillyness. That first fumble clearly shows that the offense was so totally out of sync and that thier timing was way off. Later on in the game, when they ran that play again, it almost happened again where the ball was going to get knocked out of Josh's hands, but luckly he was ablt to adjust. Whatever the issues are with the offense, I am certain they will get them worked out. The defense on the other hand.... they are just playing awful at this point. Tre is getting absolutely smoked on nearly every play and needs to be benched. There are so many injuries on defense (like every other year) they haven't been able to field their primary defensive players all at the same time. I know that all teams deal with injuries. But, it seems like this team deals with way more than the average, and they always seem to be primarily on the defensive side of the ball.

for those of us who dont follow hockey is Drake Maye the Austin Matthews of the NFL
-
The point in question is whether you could eat the 12oz steak yourself. There isn’t a dominant guy for Josh to throw the ball to.
-
Our Strategy was to take away Maye's #1 option in Hunter Henry and stop the run. They did that pretty well. Unfortunately, that opened things up for Diggs. As a fan, that was the worst possible outcome.

Yeah it was the first loss but they have not been playing good football. On both sides of the ball really. McDs D is huge problem. Gave up points right before half and gave up points at the end that resulted in an L. To me it was just a matter of time before this was gonna happen. Pats are a team we shouldn’t lose to at this point. This D has been in place for 8 years there should not be so many struggles against average opponents
-
Youre right. I was looking at the snap counts and he is an unquestioned starter. The fact Humphrey picked up a slight injury and Alexander is missing several games negates any chance he moves. I was simply thinking about them signing a one year deal and could move him if the season is a shambles. Im with you on Strong. I don’t think it’s as big a need once the two rookies are back from their injuries. The struggle will be making do until then.
-
I think it had something to do with Wilson refusing to work in the Paycor Stadium concession booths, making 'Dangerwiches' on the days he isn't starting. "Well, Joe, we'll see how you do, and if we're happy, we'll refund your airfare."
-
What I meant was I think there should be more plays that are designed to get the ball into the hands of one person. I don’t want to make a “get Cook in space” joke, I am dead serious. Why not more screens and short passes ? These are just extensions of the run. The Bills have athletic linemen. Instead Brady wants to run Jet Sweeps with Knox.
-
We just can't.......running the K-gun or hurry-up offense would only allow us to score points quickly (if at all) and then have to rely on our putrid D to hold their ground for too much of the game. And i think at this point, no one wants our D out there any longer than reasonably possible.
-
our biggest needs corner safety outside plus player at WR. we have the rookie who hopefully recovers at CB, i thought we had a rookie who might be able to play safety for rapp, but maybe not, and my one issue with going in for a WR is it will give brady ammo to get out of our dominating formations which he already likes to avoid (multiple TE/backs, few or no WR). based on that, if we can get a JAG at corner for cheap we should because it's just too big of a hole, if we can get a plus safety for cheap that's another slam dunk, and i'd love to have a guy like brown or someone to light it up outside, i don't think that's possible.
