  1. Past hour
  2. Joe Biden is how we got here. No need to thank me.
  3. Do u get a dollar every time you type this?
  4. Billy Ray was the preacher's son And when his daddy would visit he'd come along When they gathered 'round and started talkin' That's when Billy would take me walkin' Out through the back yard we'd go walkin' Then he'd look into my eyes Lord knows, to my surprise
  5. And to your point, he hasn’t taken a beating like between the tackles runners such as Kyren do. Cook wasn’t exactly a workhorse in college, he’s done a good job of staying healthy at this level, he’s still almost as young as Tremaine Edmunds, and his usage rate suggests there is more than enough tread on those tires for him to stay productive throughout the entirety of his extension. I think people are wayyyy to stuck on the “every down back” stuff. Cook maximizes his touches, because as you mentioned the guy is just a playmaker. With the schedule already at 17 games and barreling towards 18, the sun is setting on the days of the “every down back”. Even Bijan gets spelled a healthy amount by the downhill stylings of Tyler Algier. Thats what the Ray Davis’ of the world are for, to live between the tackles, and while I love the way Ray runs, Cooks skill set is much more dynamic and adds a dimension to the offense that you’re not going to get with Davis or Johnson in the backfield. Can’t play three downs, and don’t need to play him three downs are the same thing. Letting him walk over 2 million dollars of not your money is crazy. Who are we signing for that extra 2 million that makes a difference in winning a Super Bowl right now?
  6. You answered a post about testing with a question on mRNA. Please don’t perform a job requiring any level of responsibility. Yes, I’d take a mRNA flu vax. I am intrigued with the neuroaminidase inhibitor directed tech, however it’s probablyears off.
  7. Interesting take axing Elijah Moore and his fully guaranteed contract, especially with the injury to our start slot in Shakir. I don’t disagree though as Beane has done this before (OJ Howard).
  8. The same guy who hired Frazier and then hung him out to dry instead of owning his own monumental eff up The same guy who could only find Dorsey to Josh Allen?!?! Say it out loud and let it roll around in your skull for a bit. He couldn’t find anyone more qualified than Dorsey? Yeah, McD, the QB whispering defensive genius…..
  9. The maga clowns were talking about how we “needed a recession” about 4 months ago🤣 With the work force shrinking via deportation it is not possible for gdp to grow…so get used to .5 percent gdp growth at best. Can’t wait to see how they spin the new economy. DT is the ultimate case of effing up a free lunch…if he had done nothing the economy would be buzzing and interest rates would already be lower ….but just like Netanyahu ..gotta fulfill his childhood idiot dreams …. How the f.uck did we get here
  10. Wawrow says he'd certainly entertain a Kyren Williams deal:
  11. You better alert CNN and the New York Times. They both seem distracted by it. Top story on both of their webpages. Otherwise, really good post.
  12. Not commenting on the rest of the discussion but... One of my favorite Herm Edwards sayings: A goal without a plan is just a wish!
  13. Who do you think hired Daboll??? Who do you think hired Dorsey to coach Allen during the season?
  14. What if we don't agree with your 45. For example, I don't think Mike White is making the team over Mitch and I think Hamlin will make the team as well. You also don't have Thompson making it even though he has popped in camp and McD has been gushing about him. Nothing is ever certain, but you are asking us to pick 8 more as if we agree with your first 45, which I don't agree on some of your choices. Offense: QB - Allen, Trubisky RB - Cook, Davis, Ty FB - Gilliam TE - Kincaid, Knox, Hawes WR - Keon, Palmer, Shakir, Samuel, Shavers OT - Dawkins, Brown, Grable, Van Demark OG - O'Cyrus, Edwards, Anderson C - McGovern, VPG The other day I still had Samuel and Moore as the final 2 WR's and Shavers to the PS. But with how much Shavers has been playing ST, and them really needing someone at the back end of the WR to likely be a ST guy as well, I am starting to think Moore is the odd guy out. I warned everyone not to over react to how he looked in shorts, fast guys always do when no pads on. But all the reports is that he didn't do much in camp since then and Shavers has all the coaches gushing about him and I think he may have just took a leg up in the race for WR5 after the first preseason game. Still won't surprise me to see Shavers to PS and Moore make the team, but I do think Shavers has the momentum right now and Moore would be the guy who would be in more jeopardy than Samuel mostly due to Samuels time in the offense and contract size. Defense DE - Bosa, Rousseau, AJE, Jackson, Solomon DT - Oliver, Jones, Sanders, Walker, Carter LB - Bernard, Milano, Williams, Thompson, Andreesen, Ulofoshio CB - Benford, Hairston, White, Johnson, Strong, Codrington S - Rapp, Bishop, Hamlin, Lewis, Forrest Not Sure why so many left Shaq off their lists, nothing but strong reports coming out of camp on him and I expect to see him on the roster at this point. And as others have said, Hamlin is making the team. Forrest was a toss up for me, and he may not make the team, but he feels like one of the better players in terms of fringe guys, and with how banged up our secondary has gotten I think he does make the team but will be in jeopardy when our suspended guys get back. That being said, would not surprise me to see Dane make it over Forrest instead for ST reasons. Special Teams PK - Bass Punter - Robbins LS - Reid I think Forrest and Ulofoshio would be the odd guys out when our 2 guys from suspension are back.
  15. Last year our primary starters Were Benford, Rapp, Hamlin, Douglas, with Elam as the back up. A real talent haven. Taron has been here for both iterations so lets just focus on the rest. This year we will have Benford, Rapp, Hamlin, and White with Dane Jackson the back up. We depended on rookies in Max and Bishop to dethrone the trash we brought back. Thus far, not looking good. God helps us if Benford goes down because the flood gates will open. The only other path to improvement off last year is some of this DL help delivering with consistency. Rookie dependent, sort of like the our secondary plan. Bad thing with that is you sort of need to hit a draft pick once in awhile for that strategy to work out. Compared to what we had in the first iteration, the secondary barely has a pulse and even that unit wasn't good enough to avoid a playoff meltdown. I guess the good news is nearly all of these guys have shown injury histories. An old guy I used to work with had this saying and I always hated it. "Hope is not a plan". I found the only actual use for it now.
  16. We’re rapidly approaching the plot of Clear and Present Danger
  17. Which teams are those? Certainly not Baltimore even though Harbaugh has struggled to win any playoff games with Lamar. Certainly not Cincinatti since Zac Taylor's teams have only made the playoffs twice during his six year tenure, including five with Joe Burrow. After losing in the conference championship in 2022, the Bengals have missed the playoffs twice. 🤣🤣🤣 Those WGR idiots couldn't find their way out of a darkened room with an open door lit with an EXIT sign. There is nothing to discuss about Terry Pegula losing patience with Sean McDermott because he's failed to take the Bills to the Super Bowl. Unless the Bills repeatedly miss the playoffs, McDermott isn't going to be on Pegula's "hot seat". He's hit the proverbial jackpot with McDermott and Beane, a neophyte NFL owner whose team went from irrelevant bottom feeder to perennial SB contender in only a few seasons while some other NFL owners haven't experienced that kind of success in decades if ever.
  18. Unnecessary waste of funds and more authoritarian overreach.
  19. More unnecessary distraction from Trump’s health issues and Epstein connections. This can be safely ignored.
  20. I wish Desmond Watson played for us. Imagine that fat jokes, imagine him standing next to Kincaid? He’d make him look like a Buffalo wing bone
  21. The biggest thing debunked: SAFE AND EFFECTIVE.
  22. So every other HOF QB got there how? Because McD wasn’t there for them. Josh’s off season introspection early in his career was more attributable to Daboll and Jordan Palmer. I don’t believe McD had much to do with that at all other than to give it his blessing
