Have never seen so many" missing pieces" miss...
-
I'm assuming Gabe will be added to the 53 this week or next week Shakir Palmer Cooks Shavers Davis Samuel IR? Coleman still inactive?
-
Question. Did they release him because they signed Cooks? Or did they sign Cooks because Moore asked to be released? Moore has some productivity in the past. His utilization in this offense is probably hurting his modest (in NFL standards) future earnings.
-
It's always going to be someone else's fault with this staff. They'll let one of the kitchen staff go before doing anything meaningful.
-
I really hope we sign Pierce. And draft a couple wrs with our 1st 2 picks This is a very tough lesson for Beane not to be cheap at wr ever again with Allen. The offense generally speaking needs to take priority. That's the whole point of a defensive hc
-
My thought is you don't rely on guys that are still available to be signed after the draft to play important roles for your team. Especially at premium positions. The narrative that he just needed good QB play to turn his career around was always ridiculous. The tape was out there and NFL pro personnel departments aren't stupid.
-
The int in Houston was ugly though. Made no attempt for ball IMO

Wash, rinse, repeat.
-
Its sad McDermott will keep letting this happen
-
In 2 years, he’s going to be an elite answer on Immaculate Grid.
-
There has to be something we don't know about Moore. They can't just let him go because Brady didn't know how to use him could they. I'll ask Diggs.
-
He was just another receiver. Poorly used? Yeah. Again, that's on McD and Joe Brady.

Shaq Lawson on the way (now reportedly signed to practice squad)
brianthomas replied to IBTG81's topic in The Stadium Wall
Another thing that gets me is the whole plan with Bosa was to use him on a rotational basis, to keep him healthy for the post season. But because of our poor Dline play, Bosa had to be used & relied upon more & more. Now Bosa is injured (predictably) & we're calling in guys like Lawson. Beane 100% deserves to be on the hot seat right now & while i hope our team perseveres & makes a deep run, right now that doesnt look too likely, and the fault should lie with Beane. I hope he has to account for this lost year post season. Josh is almost 30. We had many years of being the Top Dog in our Division & Beane was never able to figure it out. That says it all right there doesnt it? -
-
Not surprised based on his social media yesterday. Feel for him. I think he works hard and was poorly used by the staff

What does "Complimentary Football" mean in Bills Coachspeak?
GunnerBill replied to Chaos's topic in The Stadium Wall
It essentially means: Offense don't turn it over. Defense get off the field on 3rd down. Special teams win the field position battle. So far this season we are not doing a great job at any of the 3. -
Game week thread - Bills at Steelers

Okay who takes the OC job then? -
I'm not so sure. Beane did sign Diggs for a lot of money and drafted Keon highly. I think he values wideouts. But I think Beane has managed the cap poorly. I think we're overpaying for a bunch of players which meant that this past offseason when we needed WRs, Beane went shopping at Dollar Tree instead of Neiman Marcus.
-
Agree. Top guys are not being fired. Need some focused attitude and accountability between players. Again, Coleman may be exhibit A.
-
That's the thing about having a salary cap. You are limited in what you can spend on. The Bills try to hang on to their own. Sometimes those decisions don't work out. I can understand why the Bills went all in on defense in this past draft. We had a top offense and the D was losing us games. Now the shoe is on the other foot and our defensive picks are falling flat, though overall the D is giving the offense chances to win.

Who do we want, who do we need as our next OC/DC?
GunnerBill replied to Sierra Foothills's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yea, I very strongly disagree. -
What does "Complimentary Football" mean in Bills Coachspeak?
Big Turk replied to Chaos's topic in The Stadium Wall
It means the offense doesn't put the defense in bad positions and scores points, controls the ball to minimize other team's opportunities and doesn't turn the ball over. The defense gets stops and turnovers and does so without giving up a bunch of yards so that punts end up pinning them inside the 10, which then gives the offense a bad drive start. Special teams limits opposing returns, pins them deep and makes plays when we have the ball as well as making kicks when we need them to. Essentially, all 3 areas of the game play well and more importantly play together in a way that maximizes the chance to win THAT game. That's the key point. On a game to game basis, what that means is situational.
