Trump - for the good of the nation, resign.

How many wins do the Bills get without Josh?
The Cincinnati Kid replied to Another Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall
If the Bills lose Josh Allen for the season they better be losing every game they have left. Assuming the injury is not career ending, we’d rather draft high than win games. -

Draft starts in 2 days this Friday. Time to extend the Sabres not-in-playoffs streak, and see what young talent traded from the Sabres wins the Stanley Cup next year.

Anthony Prohaska and the Cover1 guys say "Hi" Whether you like them or not, separate issue, but they're not 60+ and don't have grey beards Matt Parrino and Ryan Talbot more fluff and less technical but also not 60+ with grey beards -
@Draconator... with the draft this Friday time to open up 2025-2026 version. Then we can start being miserable about the new season!

Funny, as after watching a bunch of podcasts/shows on youtube the last few weeks, including the awful Schopp and the Bulldog, I was thinking the exact same thing. That if the new ones are competent, it could not be worse than what is out there now, especially compared to the jaded lazy barnacles just picking up a paycheck. Young, hard working new blood needed. As far as podcasts, I am enjoying most of the Shout shows, as Matt Parino is a good, prolific writer and his shows are like his writing--not any grandstanding or filler, no arrogance at all, and solid, fact based information and analysis. When he has criticisms it comes across as so much more legitimate than so many other podcasters, broadcasters, writers (and posters on this forum), not hate filled bashing. As that is not his main objective. And not many would read his articles if that were the case.

I’m now 45. And our second is due in November. I can only surmise that the Stockholm syndrome I’ve developed from being a Bills fan has expanded to all facets of my life. Typing this took all the energy I had left for the day. And NOW back to bills talk: Justin Shorter is on the Raiders.

UPDATE: ISRAEL v IRAN - Ceasefire reached?
JDHillFan replied to Big Blitz's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
No. People with your level of Trump agita (is that better than saying TDS? It certainly seems a fair description) will create that scenario in their minds regardless. Iranian state tv initially reported minimal damage and CNN followed up with a low-confidence assessment that 14 30k bombs resulted in a flesh wound to the Iranian nuclear weapons program. That’s all you need to believe what you want to believe. Those admissions occur regularly. All you have to do is read them. What is the current constitutional crisis you speak of? Sounds made up. -

I find this interesting actually beanes an emotional dude. It is what it is. Starting to come through more and more as time goes on. In the beginning it’s endearing and welcomed change of vigor but with each passing year of not getting it done (beating chiefs or getting to a Super Bowl) he’s starting to be too emotional and that’s my biggest gripe with this org. They’re too culture centrric. Everybody believes. And loves each other. It affects their draft picks and priorities in offseason. And it affects their contracts. -

What Are You Most Excited About This Coming Season?
PoundingDog replied to Victory Formation's topic in The Stadium Wall
Well, I think the Bills are entering an era of seriously challenging to go to the superbowls, assuming the front office did not lay big eggs the last 2 drafts. Yes they came close in the 2000 season and last year, but realistically you know we had flawed teams in those years, particularly on defense. I just feel that the Bills become more balanced in a lot of ways. On offense, we have a superstar QB who has a lot of maturity now, and we can both run and pass effectively. On defense we finally made a lot of investment at the weakest area in McDermott's era and this is where the fruit of the investment determines the outcome; if we get some surprising early returns - in the form of steady improvement throughout the season, it could happen this year. Steady Improvement from the young guys on defense is what I'm looking for. -

I don’t really think she has blinders on. Maybe those admissions happened before I was around here. He clearly has a pretty large following that doesn’t seem to acknowledge what you mentioned. But maybe you’re right, I don’t know for sure. All I can say is that it's easier for me to focus on the politics in a vacuum when I know the person I'm talking with sees him the same way I do, at least in terms of character. As I’ve said before, I do have concerns that he could be manipulated by other world leaders or shifting global circumstances, simply because of his obvious personality flaws. A simple example, today he said that while he’ll ask Iran not to pursue a nuclear weapon, he doesn’t really believe that’s necessary anymore. So here’s an honest question, do you think he might hold back from aggressively pursuing efforts to prevent Iran from reestablishing its nuclear program, just to validate the narrative that it’s already been “obliterated”? I believe he would. And that would be a huge mistake. He’s vulnerable to miscalculations because of who he is. I’ve never felt that way about other presidents, even ones I considered incompetent. They didn’t reveal enough of themselves to be manipulated or they didn't need the credit or validation in the ways he seems to.
