  1. Past hour
  2. Yeah, sorry. There's at least 10 coaches in the NFL right now that I think are able to clown Mac Jones and old broken Cam Newton and Zach Wilson and Mike White and Skylar Thompson and Bailey Zappe with Josh Allen at QB for 5 straight seasons. It's really just not that impressive. My old take is that if you have to debate if a player is good all the time, they probably aren't. We used to debate Tyrod and Fitzy all day every day. The moral of the story was that they weren't good. We don't debate Josh Allen, because there is no reason to. We debate McD every day. I'm leaning toward he's in the Tyrod Taylor tier of HCs.
  3. I’ve said my peace on this during the draft weekend. everyone got mad at me for what I said then So I won’t go into it anymore but I will state that this is just another bad move in an offseason filled with them from Brandon beane. also, I believe in the victims social media posts from the time period of this happening she said other girls came forward to her that he did the same to them. If that ends up being true and the team knew this potential risk, why on earth was he drafted? When you take players like this in the first round when you had other options that is on the GM. If Donovan Ezeriaku is as good as the DFW media has been saying he has looked and Hairston washes out because of off the field stuff…I mean these are why GM’s get fired. but again oh well, as fans we have to sit back and wait for the conclusion to this. I know I am more than tired of hearing guys like McDermott talk about his imaginary friend every time he opens his mouth but then is perfectly okay with Von miller beating up his girlfriend. hopefully Hairston did not rape this young woman or anyone else and if he did he should be off the roster ten minutes after finding out. I am trying to not get too involved in this thread but why on earth would the schools findings be of any concern. not a single one of these big athletic schools should ever be trusted on any of these matters. For decades schools have been intimidating witnesses, threatening victims, hiding evidence and colluding with local police and judges. go watch the Ohio state documentary on hbo and get back to me on how much the school cares about these types of issues.
  4. When this alledgely happened, was Hairston an adult or a juvenile in Kentucky ?
  5. It isn't even close to the same situation. Completely different in every way.
  6. If the glove doesn't fit, you must acq... sorry, wrong Bill
  7. You are on record as claiming the very lame wisecrack is racist. You have also expressed that you believe one in every two people you encounter on a daily basis is a racist. Those two things mesh nicely. Just run with it.
  8. Again Frank, you're an attorney and considering the legal ramifications, I'm a guy who looks at common sense and the job a journalist should reasonably be expected to do. I don't position myself as a trusted source with impeccable credentials, that's what they do. It strikes me as dishonest and duplicitous, and that's more of a job for politicians and lobbyists. As a result, they should probably expect that when the tide turns, they are treated like politicians and lobbyists. As for success at trial, seems to me they decided the risk was not worth the potential for an adverse outcome. With respect to the FCC, I'm no more or less concerned or offended (as a citizen) by that than Letitia James determination to reinvent that which we know to be true, Alvin Bragg creating a novel approach to imprison a political enemy, or the Special Prosecutor inadvertently scoffing off with attorney/client (and other) documents and pinky-swearing not to look at 'em. Actually, I'm much more concerned about the latter, the former just represents a large corporation settling with the government over some injustice. That's pretty run of the mill.
  9. I know the 2015 Broncos lost their QB. So they won the Super Bowl without a franchise level QB. You stated that if Fox or Del Rio would have gotten them to 8 wins. Why? Then why aren't they HC's in the NFL?
  10. Hey just wondering why there’s a Star of David in the background there? Just a little curious.
  11. I think that's the wrong take. You don't have to be a top 5 team if you have an elite, all-time side of the ball. The 2000 Ravens weren't a top 5 team, but they were a top 1 defense. Ditto with the Broncos. There's a fluke aspect of it sure. No one builds a team and says, "we don't care if the offense is mediocre if the defense is Hall of Fame level elite." It just kinda happens. But make no mistake. It happened for the 2015 Broncos because they changed coaches. That unit was not breaking records with Del Rio.
  12. Hmmmm, I’m thinking there are some other biases at work.
  13. weird I'm not seeing the same reaction when it was a 6th Rd punter
  14. Ain't that hard? Then why is there only a handful of coaches who won 5 or more consecutive division titles? Here they are....Andy Reid, Bill Belicheck, Vince Lombardi and Sean McDermott. Soooooooo easy.
  15. "Premiere facility in Northeast Ohio" they are calling it. I guess ceiling would be another stadium similiar to Vikings to get some other events there. Final Fours, Wrestlemania maybe. I don't think they have the infastructure to host a SB though either.
  16. Here's a summary: The Buffalo Bills knew of the Title IX complaint before drafting him and conducted their own vetting Hairston volunteered for and completed a polygraph to bolster his denial . Beane emphasized that both the school’s investigation and the Bills’ review, including the polygraph, found no evidence supporting the allegation So, yes — he not only offered to take the test, but actually did. Whether the results will carry weight in the ongoing civil suit remains to be seen, but the team clearly considered it a critical part of their evaluation process.
  17. This is pure conjecture. You have no idea what Beane knew or their process for investigating. Teams do a tremendous amount of research into these prospects, especially if they are considering taking them in the 1st round.
  18. The same general reason you found your comment regarding “bread mold” interesting/clever/edgy/witty? Unfortunately, as with the pets wisecrack, it was none of those. Thank you for your input. I can now rest easy regarding the edgy tweets/posts/comments of the last couple days.
  19. The 2015 Broncos lost their elite QB midseason. When you have an elite, franchise QB, the floor is set regardless of the coach. At a minimum, the expectation is double digit wins and playoffs. It doesn't matter if you have Mike McCarthy or Sean McDermott or John Haurbaugh etc etc. If the Bills fired McDermott tomorrow and hired Joe Blow from University of Arkansas, my expectations would not change for the 2025 season. If Josh was lost for the season, my expectations WOULD change. I wanted the Bills to hire BB 2 years ago and Ben Johnson last year. Next year, there will be another couple good HC candidates. Maybe Shanny gets canned if the 9ers extremely disappoint or LaFleur if the Packers fall apart. Maybe Joe Brady is looking like he gets poached, I wouldn't mind giving him a shot if he impresses this year. Any of those guys may be my answer next year. McD will probably not get fired. Those guys will probably get hired elsewhere. And you will ask "who do you want that doesn't have a job already." Rinse repeat.
  20. Since you asked: No. I don't call this one racist. It is playing upon a meme. That meme has been shown to be untrue, but if you don't pay attention to the source, it could have come from a Jimmy Kimmel or some similar comic making fun of the made-up story about eating the cats and eating the dogs. So yes, just a wisecrack. Not like KBJ doing a little dance rather than writing a reasoned opinion, which is, in my expert opinion, simply and clearly racist. And if this one ^^ supports it, it must be racist.
  21. The only 2 people who really know are Hairston and the woman. If he did it I hope he gets what he deserves, if she’s lying I hope she gets what she deserves, if it’s a misunderstanding I hope they can both find peace and in the end I hope they both find peace regardless.
  22. Okay, why do you think certain posters on this forum find it so funny? Obviously they wouldn’t have posted it if they didn’t think so
  23. This issue is not a joke, so for me I’ll wait until the facts come out. I table judgement on these matters as it could be true and that’s disgusting, or a $ grab by someone wanting to cash in like what happened to Araiza. I’m glad Araiza finally had a 2nd chance with KC. So my point is just let’s wait and we’ll find out if there is merit to the suit. We need him so a suspension would stink.
