Just checking in: AWESOME win for OSU! Should have been a beat down last year if we would have passed the ball aggressively down the field. So finally, it feels right again! Congrats to Hartline. We were never going to keep him forever. Good luck to him. Thankful Henry Jr. signed with us after all. I understand the hesitation, but OSU is bigger than Hartline and I think we will roll on pretty well. Waiting with bated breath to see who the OC is going to be. Kelly again? And what about WR coach? We shall see. Really looking forward to the game tonight. I really admire IU. That said, I just don’t think they are likely to overcome the talent gap for 60 min. We shall see. What is a proverbial purgatory team? Dak was drafted in 2016. He has gotten tagged and 2 massive extensions. He is 82-52 as starter in Dallas. They have made the playoffs 5 seasons. How many talented teams have we seen held back from even making the playoffs because of just awful QB play? It doesn’t compute to me imo. If you don’t have a top 10 QB, you should be selling off talent to find one. Not praying Kenny Pickett is good enough to back into a WC spot 1 year out of 5.

I honestly think that 90% of it is simply about personal experience. A lot of folks haven't been lucky enough to spend a lot of time on a field and learn what really counts. It doesn't make them stupid; it's just that the more experience you have working any particular complex problem, the more you come to understand what's actually important in those complexities and what's just tlts on a bull. It's like an accountant from Raleigh looking to buy a tractor; he doesn't have much experience so the first thing he's going to look at is the paint job. When the reality is that even some farmbilly from the red clay hills of Central Caroline has been elbows deep often enough to know from experience what's important, no matter how big a rube he might be!

well part of that not just looking for a better qb but if you can get even average play while saving 60M suddenly you can surround the same tier player with 2-3 all pros. we never fully embraced that roster construction with rookie contract Josh but the proverbial is a purgatory team with a 10-15 qb better downgrading the roster to keep him or taking a guy like dart, nix etc…. Who is a second shelf prospect and really stocking the cupboard. honestly haven’t watched a ton of him in the last year. He might not be the best example but I think not far from that split where it gets interesting. Like might be 1-2 guys above the cut but not far away.

Yards are math, points are math, sacks are math, tackles for a loss are math, hits are math, wins are math. All of which can be applied objectively against his peers. What goes on in your head can't be applied that way. If he's so good, the traces of that performance would carry over relative to his peers in the "math". He's performing like a 10-15 million dollar player. It's not anymore complicated than that.
