The point is that kid on grape st deserves a good school, and good transportation to and from school, and maybe a meal or two to help concentrate at school, and a safe school, so he can have an equal shot. The same applies to Johnny Rural, and nobody has said (or acted, for that matter) differently. Get bad grades, or get a RAP record? Not my problem. For a true rivalry, - it has to be a 2 way rivalry - they have to play meaningful games against each other - it cannot be one sided - i.e. one team wins all of the time In the 70's we always considered Miami a rival since we lost to them 20x in a row.
