Game week thread - Bengals at Bills (flexed to 1pm ET)

Whatever site I was looking at only does defensive epa/play back to 2022 but this bengals defense is the worst in that time frame The DVOA folks paywalled a bunch of stuff but on the chart of defensive DVOA I found no one is even close to as bad as the bengals this year like to the point where they had to zoom the chart way out just to fit them on 😆 -
I also think it's very important to say Beane and McD best opportunity to thrive and improve the roster was when Allen was on his rookie contract. They needed to get star power and immediate impact players. Von Miller was a huge miss and resigning Diggs was a colossal mistake. The team has paid for these mistakes. I just don't see how they get it done now under severe CAP restricts. What's going to change? That's exactly why Beane has to be frugal and get mediocre players and throw darts. Not to mention many of his draft choices haven't been very productive. This years draft choices have been very very poor as far as contributing in a positive way. Not a recipe to a super bowl appearance. Beane and McD supporters will continue to reference the drought days. How football is entertainment, the multiple AFC East titles, the great regular season records, the culture, etc... All of this is true. But what's also true is missed opportunities to hoist the Lombardi Trophy. In hindsight, I think many of us thought the Bills would have made a super bowl appearance by now with Allen as our QB. I know I did. Each year passes and my desire for change grows.

NFL mandates new playing surfaces for all stadiums by 2028
DrBob806 replied to Just Jack's topic in The Stadium Wall
The NFL should pay for these international field upgrades. They're not $tarving for cash. -
If that's true and IF he wanted to play next year and IF some team wanted him (philly/det), we could get a 7th for him, maybe? Worst case - he ends his career potentially earlier than he wants to because of us, since he f'ed us losing Ingram. Sit and rot bleach

You thought a box of oats would one day be valuable?! You act like Doug flutie is Joe Montana 😝

I can agree to that 100% Not saying we're getting a pro bowl player here but I definitely think he's better at his position than what Elam is at his own position He needs to be put in the right spots but Sean understands safeties

I know it's bad but is it statistically the worst ever? Ever? I pull a lot of stats out of my ass but I'm not that up to date on my Cincinnati Bengals statistics -

Because everything has to be a conspiracy these days. Seriously, if Brady can't get the offense in stride against this defense he should be fired, publicly ridiculed and there should be some shapes cut into his yard. Hi. Welcome to the board. Making sense here is highly discouraged. People have old hot takes to stick by. I think what we see on a lot of these guys is they get banged up the week before and play through the game. Then, when the adrenaline wears off and few few days go by the full presentation of the injury presents itself. We hear about it when the Bills go back to practice and we see a surprise player got injured. Many times it's assumed that the injury happened in practice...but I'd bet more than not it's just that the first practice of the week is when the first injury report is due -

Even our long snapper is on the injury report. Just give up on the season folks… -

Except his career is the complete opposite with regards to success. After his rookie contract expired the packers signed S Xavier McKinney to a big FA deal. Savage than signed with the jags 3 years 21M. After the scheme change this year, he wasn’t a fit. Signed with wash and they are giving the younger players on a rookie deal some play as their season is over. I’m not saying he’s great by any means, but he could actually be our starting S opposite bishop is he plays like he did 2 years ago. Is only 28. The point of my post- he’s not like Elam

What kind of weird foot ailment pops up randomly off the field that requires you to be out of practice and then full to the next day? Did this guy have a hang nail surgery or something?
