Was someone blaming it on the training staff? None of these injuries are their fault, not even soft tissue ones like hamstring pulls and strains. The staff can only do so much, ultimately it’s on the player to increase flexibility throughout the year and not just in camp.

This could be a Southpark episode. It really could.

Believe you’re thinking of the normal sprain where the ankle bends outward. A high ankle operates the opposite direction, where the ankle bends inward, toward the other leg. Also believe I read that Shakir got rolled up on during a running play. Probably an offensive lineman rolled into his leg.
