  1. Past hour
  2. I think the "no expectations" mindset that Josh is trying to embody is an attempt to avoid such a massive emotional letdown at the end of the year if things don't ultimately go our way. It's much easier said than done, and despite how much he tries to act like he has no expectations, I don't think it's going to hurt any less if we get knocked out of the playoffs again. It must be extremely difficult to have the weight and expectations of a city, franchise, and fanbase constantly weighing on your shoulders, and I think it's taking a toll on him. I think he's more introverted as a person than we think, and although he is excellent at always saying and doing the right things as the face of a franchise, I can see it being emotionally draining to always be pretending to be a slightly different person than who he really is. Ultimately, he is his own worst critic and is a fierce competitor, and I still believe he has what it takes to win us a Super Bowl. I just hope we can get it done sooner rather than later because I'm a little worried about how the constant letdowns will affect him moving forward.
  3. It wouldn't be though. For both contracts they'd be eating cap in 2026 not 2025. Both teams would save just the small base salaries against the cap in 2025, and have dead money hits in 2026. For Wilson: The 20M option bonus for 2026 get picked up by the acquiring team as its triggered by being on a roster on the 5th league day of 2026. Thats 4M per year over 5 years. In 2027 the 10M option bonus triggers which is 2M annually over 5 years through 2031. The Jets would lessen the 2025 hit to 5.78M, and then eat 11M in 2026. Acquiring team would have a 1.25M cap hit for 2025, and 7.074M cap hit for 2026 (3M base salary, 4M of the prorated option bonus) - with 4 additional years at 4M annually as an option bonus thats basically a guaranteed mid-contract signing bonus. For Waddle: They'd eat the signing bonus and option bonus that are already slated for this year at around 6.75M, then it looks like around 20M in 2026. This is kinda up in the air as i don't know if they already lowered the 2026 salary into a bonus. The overthecap tool says they did, but it might not be. If they did, it only hits their dead cap if the money was paid to waddle, so my assumption would be... 5 years @ 3M that was spread from the 2025 salary.
  4. Meh. I think Bishop has skated by because Rapp has been so horrifically bad it's hard to look elsewhere. But he hasn't been very good this season either. Not a total liability like he was at times in his rookie season but still too many lapses in coverage, too many bad angles, and too many missed tackles. He might have won us the Saints game so I'll give him that.
  5. I read the transcript, and I find nothing wrong with Ontario's take on Reagan the Free Trader. It was one of his proudest accomplishments. There's nothing in Reagan's history of the occasional use of tariffs in particular sectors that would justify the rise of a nominally Republican Tarriff Man. By the way, a hissy fit like Trump's latest is now "masculine?"
  6. I think this team is gonna make a trade in the secondary. The talent is just far too depleted. I'm fine with Cole taking his lumps at one safety position Cole has talent he just needs a better feel for the game (and experience can help with that) but they need to find a competent vet next to him.
  7. You should definitely go protest. Maybe wear a mask while driving. Fight the good fight!!
  8. So the glass half full would be that there's nowhere to go but up!
  9. A Josh cameo immediately gets a film a ton more tickets sold Sorry…. Those aren’t process attributes
  10. Our back seven, especially the LBs, are in for another rough afternoon. Once again, Josh will need to put up a 40 burger. Brady will have to be creative given the dearth of receivers but I question if he is up to the task.
  11. It’s possible. I just saw him in civilian life a couple of days ago and he looked pretty good to me -
  12. Here's the entire Reagan speech, what point do you think Reagan was trying to make? Pro Free Trade? Pro Protectionism? More nuanced?
  13. Yes a platoon could be in order in regard to Poyer/Hancock at some point soon.
  14. Yeah, it's seems like every week Bishop is becoming less and less of an issue on the field. Still a lot of knee jerk disrespect for him on the boards IMO. As far as Rapp to IR goes, I hate to see any player injured. However, this feels like an "addition by subtraction" moment. Maybe he takes a month off to get right and come back better. Maybe this a long with Hamlin being IRd earlier for es Beane to look outside the organization and make a move be it a trade ord a FA signing.
  15. I’d 💯 give a late first for a proven WR that has a solid 3-5 years left age and health wise. Beane “obviously” cannot draft a WR so needs to be trade or FA
  16. I must pat myself on the back here. My timing is impeccable when it comes to inviting posters to permanent residency on my ignore list. Teef joined it yesterday despite having shown some signs of being a reasonable lefty prior to that ...but alas he's just another long gone leftist. Carry on!
  17. IDK. I think Mahomes would rather have Tyreek Hill and a prime Kelce instead of JuJu, Kelce’s bloated corpse, and a couple speedsters. Yes, they might be adequate for that specific offense, but compared to the league they are mid to lower middle tier.
  18. Aaron Rodgers is way past his prime so this isnt me saying Aaron is better than Josh, but watching him against the Bengals last week he absolutely lit into one of his running backs for trying a flea flicker. It reminded me of Quarterbacks like Manning, Brady, Mahomes and Burrow losing it on teammates and coaches alike if they weren't meeting the standard. I dont know whats better but at times this team looks like it could use Josh to bring up the temperature a bit. Diggs was good at that but he wanst holding himself to the same standard he was holding everyone else to.
  19. There was a clip going around from one of the practices this week that appeared to show Jordan Hancock on the field with Cole Bishop and getting 1 on 1 coaching from McDermott after the rep... Probably shouldn't read too much into that but maybe they'll give the rookie a shot. I do expect Poyer to be activated to the roster, we have two open spots right now. No way Poyer can be worse than what Rapp has shown so I can live with it if he ends up starting.
  20. Yea that's likely it for him as a Bill
  21. Finally some good news.
  22. But their current teams can't withstand the cap hit caused by trading them away. Both contracts were structured with the early cap years being low, but the penalty for trading or releasing the player severe. Miami has a bigger problem than Waddle. They're stuck with Tua through next season with dead cap hits this year & next in the $100 million range. https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/player/_/id/47598/tua-tagovailoa
  23. This team needs (and has needed) route runners not big jump ball receivers.. Beane is clueless.
  24. I’m fine with Bishop. He has legit talent. It’s up to the staff to figure out how to unlock it consistently.. and up to Bishop to keep himself healthy. I have hope that a legend, even at his age, that would probably give his life on the field for the Bills, can be more of a steadying presence to help Bishop along than whatever Rapp was doing out there looking like the Monstars drained all his ability to play football overnight.
  25. Even in his pressers, he just seems weary. There is probably some frustration about the team & some of our weaknesses than he isn't expressing vocally. I know I'm speculating, but the body language just isn't good right now.
