“Original Sin” book release - Biden’s decline cover up
GaryPinC replied to Big Blitz's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
That's true it hasn't happened to a significant effect with Trump yet. And the MSM didn't completely ignore Biden, they would make excuses for it, and I expect right wing sources to follow a similar playbook as Trump progresses down this road. Why do I say that? Easiest examples are their irresponsibility magnifying 2020 "steal" garbage Trump used to line his pockets, as well as J6 short term. But I find it highly ironic and somewhat disingenuous you try and limit "right wing" to Fox News, one of the best sources. How often do you actually post their content compared to all the X and more questionable right wing sources? I can't get too involved with this board because eventually the willful ignorance bothers me too much, but you seem to post quite prolifically and the times I do check it out seems like your source is seldom never Fox News. What percent of your sources on here would you say come from Fox News? -

Do you have some that you consider good that meet this standard? -

I get that, and I feel it's unfortunate you've come to look at it that way. It's certainly easy to do. For me, any news source takes certain facts about a story and ignores others to try and shape their biased version of the truth. The good ones on either side include the most facts and hopefully spin a less biased story. I definitely have to hunt more for decent right biased stories but overall I consider Fox News a go to right biased source. But even good sources can have highly biased stories, it's easy to tell by the amount of infammatory words and wording. -
I love the downplaying of the obvious major mental decline as if Biden was merely an elderly course ranger at the local public golf course. He was the friggin POTUS. The most grueling and mentally demanding job on the planet. To handwave around that is peak green sky useful idiocy. So of course 4th&schlong is doing it.

You wouldn’t have had to let Shakir walk after this year. He could have been traded for a fourth which could have then been sent to Seattle along with a second for DK Metcalf. The $25 million a year that will be used to pay Shakir and Palmer could have nearly paid for it.
-
Are you convinced Shakir is better than Ladd?
-
Yep

Why assume he will? That’s what his chart looked like from college too. We all HOPE that Keon improves. I don’t think that we all EXPECT Keon to improve. He was a high ceiling and low floor prospect coming out. His physical skills could make him a very good WR. His flaws are significantly greater than those guys drafted around him. His ceiling is a Pro Bowl receiver. His floor is out of the league in a couple of years because he can’t get open. Through 1 year, he was exactly as advertised. He’s a poor route runner who gets no separation. He’s a big target that runs well after the catch. He has good ball skills when the ball is in the air. He is in way too many contested catch situations because he doesn’t get any space. All of that is true. Who he ends up as a player is TBD. I don’t expect him to improve or not improve. I hope that he improves because the Bills absolutely need him to grow into a quality WR.

Audio: Biden interview - decline was worse then we knew
4th&long replied to Big Blitz's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
I said in an earlier post today that Biden, however bad he was, is not what we would want in office. I had imagined he was slipping but I didn't know how bad until the debate and it was obvious to everyone. I'm not like most people that disrespect older people. Sure they may forget a name or a date or whatever but they still poses a lot of wisdom, that is what I value. That debate pretty much handed trump the presidency. -
Having his wrist broken , and recovering absolutely would have zero effect on catch percentage.,., Ya can’t fix stupid,

Shakir is one of the best slot guys in the NFL right now…so you’re philosophy was to just get rid of our best WR and replace him with a rookie still leaving the same holes elsewhere in the WR room? When we drafted Keon our WR was small too. So last year it would have been 3 slot WRs and Mack Hollins just to let Shakir walk this year so you can say we drafted Ladd? No disrespect, but I’m not sure how that makes any sense. The move last year was instead of looking to make a small trade back to recoup the 3rd we lost on Rasul, it should have been to try and make the small move up to get BTJ. If anyone wants to complain THAT is the complaint or second guess. Not Ladd, not Worthy. But last year we had massive dead cap, we had a ton of veteran turnover. It was supposed to be a mini retool year to clean the cap and age out our older guys. Which he did, so I get why he preferred trading back whether it proves to be right or wrong decision. We needed to add people to the roster. And on top of that, our WR room isn’t the group it is because of Shakirs contract which is a bargain for him. And Cook is playing still here his year, doesn’t mean we won’t or can’t still resign him. Beane has already said they will resume talks later this year after halting heading into the draft.

My advice? I’m pessimistic, but hopefully things continue to go merrily until at least until then. Then on day 87-88 if the bell tolls, yank out all the cash you can without penalty and move it to like a high yield savings account, but they max out. Did one a few years back at about 4%, wife kept wanting to dip into it last year and move some back into the market, we didn’t, whew! The debate to open another is on going. She’s trust Trump emphatically. At this point in my life, I’m not too concerned what he does beyond ***** with my money, I worked to hard to take a chance on what he’s doing now. Like I referenced, maybe that’ll change.

Theres remnants of the town on the lake floor. Someone dies in Lake Lanier 2-3 times per Summer. Theres some cool restaurants you can dock at on the lake, along with Jimmy Buffett’s island, but on the weekends it’s insanely crowded. The area around Lake Lanier is about as MAGA as it gets. This is also where they filmed Ozarks.
