The other thing to think about with Davis is that his contract had offset language. That means he will be playing for league minimum. I don’t think that they have any WRs that they can cut and gain savings. Either way, Gabe is vet minimum. That will be important for whomever picks him up. He will almost certainly play for a contender for that reason. If he’s making the minimum no matter where he is, why wouldn’t he go to a contender that offers him the best opportunity?

TJ Watt Speculation after Pickens trade (Nothing Official)

The Steelers franchise since 1972 has only had 7 seasons were they weren't .500 or better. In fact their worst record since 1972 was a 5-11 season in 1988 of their other losing seasons they were 6-7 wins bad but far from tragic. As far as Tomlin he has been .500 or better every season since 2007 when he took over. He has had three 8-8 seasons but never a losing season. I don't think the Steelers will tank ever, but could they be setting themselves up to have a 6-8 win season (by trading away a few key pieces after a slower start or by just not having a viable QB) and be higher up in the top half of the draft? I can see that. A 7 win season gets them in the pick 8-10 range which makes a trade up a lot easier than going from pick 16-20 all the way to the top 5. -
Here at the PPP Shlit Posting Analytics department we are constantly observing the behavior of leftist posting trends. Today we are pleased to announce a new metric that describes the leftist phenomenon of raging in certain threads, then abandoning them once the massive L's begin piling up. Introducing the RELIABLE score. Raging Entitled Leftists Initiating Anger But Leaving Expeditiously We are putting the final touches on the algorithm, but in essence this tracks threads flooded by leftists with seething outrage fueled by reliable media propaganda, where we then subsequently observe a precipitous drop in posting from these very same deranged leftists. Below are three examples where we have observed this behavior recently and used the data within those threads to train the algorithm.

I could keep 6 or 5. Like I said Davis was the catalyst to get the answer if Buffalo has done enough at Wr. Seems like they have.

70% of Josh Allen's career interceptions come from targeting Gabe Davis. We lost 2 games in his final year here because he ran wrong routes/ wasn't on the same page as Josh. Why exactly do you want him?

You don't get better w/o playing. He was projecting upwards until Poyer lambasted him. I think he continues to improve. The one thing I would have done this offseason was get DK. He would take the offense to a new level. -

Great, fact and reason filled post--the antithesis of so many of the 'Let Cook walk', posts Love it all, but just bolded two important points you make, for all those who are so flippant in their views. This issue had made me want to go back and see how many of the posters you are referring to above, are also those who comically, ignorantly, were, and likely still are, up in arms when they hear the words "complimentary football", related to the aspect of this whereas a great running game fosters a great passing game and visa versa. I think of this because if they don't value the running game, despite all of the concrete evidence that it has been a vital element in the Bills' best teams over the last five years, then it is reasonable to believe that they want to "Let Cook walk" too, I think. Same sides of the same coin, same ignorance. And it also has me wanting to know more about those posters lambasting Beane for not drafting a wideout who are basically calling (once again) for his firing. (Ignoring the fact the Bills had the best offense they ever had last year, scored the most points in the league....) How many of this group, so desperate for our super neglected, almost talent-less offense to get the help that is needed, are also the ones almost clamoring for the Bills to "Let Cook walk? Would love to know that, how it stacks up. It would take a lot of time to get those answers to my questions in bold above, but it could be fun and maybe very telling to do so. I am too lazy. But I will pay a poster big $ to get that data and post it, or a big thumbs up emoji at the very least, my call. To me it may reveal a lot, some of the interesting connections and contradictions on these issues.

Are we sure that they are all better or is that just because they are current Bills? Shakir is the only one that I’m sure is a better receiver than Gabe. Gabe is obviously limited but what he does is what they’re missing. I’m not advocating for or against Gabe. He’s a role player. The point is 4 of the 5 Bills receivers are roles players. The 5th is also a role player, he just happens to be top 5-10 at his role in the league.

Correct me if I am wrong but I don't think Tomlin has ever had a losing season as Steelers HC. Maybe 8-8 once or twice but never a losing season. He has been the Steelers coach for a long time now. I just can't see the Steelers tanking. They may not be good enough to win the division. But they never seem to be a bottom feeder either. Barring injuries the Ravens should win the division. If the Bengals had a defense, then they could challenge them, but they don't. -
Shakir Samuel Coleman Moore Palmer All better than Gabe today. You carrying 6 WRs this year? Can you put puke and disagree on the same post? If not, I'm going to need Mat68 to post again to show my true dissatisfaction with his thoughts

The answer is Gabe Davis. Signing him doesn't greatly impact the Wr room. Since his release however, Bills fans are now almost unanimous that the Wr room is full. A wr who averages 600 yards and 6 Tds has no shot of making the roster. Im glad Buffalo has finally put a complete room around Allen. Good thing they didn't draft a wr early because they would not have made the team.

I think you are right and there was drama. And it wasn't just the fanbase making it up. These guys know social media posts will garner attention. They know someone will notice if they put their house up for sale (even if it means they have to backdoor it by bringing it to someone's attention). But as I said above, I think the situation has cooled. It looks like Beane thinks J Cook will play this year. Hope he has that calculated correctly.

I think another underrated aspect of this offense is that all 3 RB's are capable of catching the ball out the back field and even the Full Back Gilliam is a solid pass catcher. Meaning that the Bills unlike a lot of teams always have good pass catchers out of the backfield. -
Meanwhile, reality outside above moron's head... Trump to pitch sweeping Medicare drug price plan https://www.politico.com/news/2025/05/07/trump-sweeping-medicare-drug-price-plan-00334167 President Donald Trump plans to revive an effort to dramatically slash drug costs by tying the amount the government pays for some medicines to lower prices abroad, three people familiar with the matter told POLITICO. Trump early next week is expected to sign an executive order directing aides to pursue the initiative, called “most favored nation,” for a selection of drugs within the Medicare program. The idea would use the administration’s authorities to force prices down. Awaiting crazies spin and attack 3..2...1...

Tannehill? Why would they talk to him? The Steelers moves have been head scratching and that move would continue that trend. I could careless what the Steelers do, I hope they suck forever. -
It really is a shame that Terry can't get out of his own way when it comes to the Sabres. Even though Buffalo is known as a football mad city, they are also a very good hockey market. When/If the day ever comes when playoff hockey returns to WNY I can't wait to watch the Sabres first playoff home game in years. I can only imagine what the atmosphere will be like. It will be crazy loud in the arena. That is for sure.

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-14688153/midwest-city-downtown-locals-scared-mad-max.html Midwest city's downtown is now Mad Max-style hellhole where locals are scared to go out after 8pm Surging crime and a diminishing police presence has turned a Missouri city into a hellhole, leaving locals afraid to step outside after dark. Downtown Kansas City has become a hotspot for illegal street racing and reckless ATV and dirt bike riders tearing through the neighborhoods - chaos that escalated last month when a police officer was hit by an ATV, Fox 4 reported. Now, frustrated business owners and locals are weighing whether to abandon downtown altogether, blaming the Dem-run city's leadership and law enforcement for failing to curb the chaos and restore a sense of safety. 'This isn't a race issue, this isn't a political issue, this is a safety issue,' David Lopez, a local business owner, told Fox News, noting how chaos right outside is a constant occurrence, posing extreme danger for the surrounding community. 'I feel as though this city is about unsafe as it's been since my family has been at 207 Southwest Boulevard, and that's 45 years this September,' he added. 'When things out of your control start to chip away at the very foundation of what you've done for four generations, it hurts.' Not only is the community feeling the impact as they return to the safety of their own homes by nightfall, but long-standing local businesses are bearing the brunt - watching foot traffic vanish and revenue slip away. 'People are going to leave - that's it,' Lopez, the general manager at Manny's Mexican Restaurant, added to the outlet. Democrat Mayor Quinton Lucas has faced growing anger over the mounting chaos.

Steelers don't ever seem to tank but if there ever was a point where they have reached an impasse and should somewhat soft reset and not be afraid of a bottom 10 record it would be this season. They have attempted to be somewhat competitive despite not having a QB since Big Ben (and Big Ben's last few years were rough) and while it is admirable they squeak out .500 or better seasons they won't ever get past a 10ish win round one exit team leaning on defense and cobbling together offense. Steelers had a 6-10 record in 2003 and it led to them getting Big Ben in the 2004 draft. Probably would be better for them if they get a top 10 pick in this years draft and have some extra premium picks to trade up. -
His total payout was not 39 million--it was basically his guarantee 24.7. But yes, by all means lets look to the JAGS as the standard fro FA signings (or any FO competence at all), lol. Tebow! Bortles! Foles! Bills carried 30 million to get rid of Diggs.
