Perspective on the Bills from Eagles fan site.
SCBills replied to BigAl2526's topic in The Stadium Wall
I’ve seen a few sites listing the Bills as a Top 5 DL entering this year. Thats obviously very dependent upon Sanders, Jackson and Bosa as guys who could potentially join Oliver & Rousseau as high end DL players but the depth, especially once Hoecht & Ogunjobi come off suspension, is Eagles like from last year. They added better CB depth and drafted a RD1 Corner… Safety and Linebacker, mostly the same, but entering training camp healthy. On Offense they were elite on the OL, elite at QB, above average at RB, awaiting Kincaid making a jump to see a similar above average group at TE and then improved at WR. The article referenced seems pretty low information. Aside from going out and getting a player like Garrett or Crosby.. who were never actually available .. the Bills probably did as much as possible to improve the floor and ceiling of a team that made the AFCCG without mortgaging the future to a ridiculous extent. -
Dion will make it for sure. He has the name recognition, goes to the pro bowl every year, and has the personality that gets him noticed. Brown and Benford deserve it, but I don't know if they have the national recognition yet. He deserves it. I don't think he is a lock to make it, though.

I'm not jumping on the hope train but playing better team defense and improving both a bottom ranked PP and PK unit is the quickest path to being in the playoff picture. Its strange that a team with good scoring metrics was so inept on the power play. That screams coaching issue to me and not talent. Granted we just moved a player responsible for 28% of our PP goals (12 out of 43). Kulich needs to be the guy taking one timers and filling the net on the PP from the right wing opposite Tage. PK results are generally in line with our overall goals against per game. Its obvious this team has been poor defensively for years. If the moves on defense and another year in Lindy's system does not dramatically improve defensive play, this team is going to struggle big time. Its another season that hinges on Tage, Dahlin, and Tuch staying healthy all year and continuing to produce around career high levels and a major jump in play from some combination of Kulich, Benson, Quinn. Otherwise you can take a 10 game losing streak to the bank. We will miss Peterka's speed. Without adding another top 6 forward I think we are looking at a less entertaining but less maddening path to a similar finish on the standings as last year.

Penn State? Ya can’t trust anyone who roots for a team that can’t afford a logo on their helmet. 😂 -

It was more that Penn State poster. When you start to get bored on a topic you try and alter the conversation with a moral debate. Can't throw stones on you for that. -

All homerism aside.. Allen, Dawkins and Brown should be stone cold locks for the Top 100. Not sure how accurately this list represents OL (clearly not well at all) so I don’t know for sure that Dion makes it. Brown is pretty close to elite, if not there already, with greats like Lane Johnson hyping him.. but I don’t know he has the name recognition yet to make this list. Benford and Cook are guys who I was 50/50 on, but Cook made it and obviously has name recognition. Benford’s play warrants it but not sure about name recognition. Allen should be #1 overall but Lamar might get it due to his regular season prowess on a team typically more stacked than what Allen has had.

The Bills will be picked by most to fall short- until they don't. Prognosticating is mostly based on track record and does not take into account any attempts at improvement. I like their chances personally. -
IMO if you have 16 TDs you've got to get some recognition

You know, reading through those, you were kind of a curious skeptic back then. Others took all the bait the weirdos set out for them. You should be proud. So I guess we're all o.k. with the big Nothing To See Here despite the 100+ pages about how the Epstein Files would expose the Deep State in its entirety? Anyone care to chime in? Were you just ... wrong about all this? Was the real cover-up the Trump cover-up?

No kidding LOL holy hell, anybody thinking that needs a new brain (not at OP, as i didnt think you were implying we did). The media acts like the only way to get better is to sign the top sexy FA's, or trade up to the top of first round..... thats the stuff that gets clicks on articles so of course its what the media dwells on. I DO wish this offseason we had addressed WR with more urgency, but I generally liked the moves we made acknowledging they were 2nd tier signings. Our biggest progress came via the draft. Is it going to be enough to beat the Chiefs? This draft for 2025 alone, I don't think so. Rookies acclimate slowly in Buffalo, especially on the defensive side, as history has shown. Can this be different? Its possible, but I wouldnt count on rookies to be the difference to get the job done alone. IF we get over the KC hump this year, its going to be because our 2nd & 3rd year players collectively take a giant step forward, or maybe 1 or 2 become a rising star out of nowhere (a guy can wish). -

Benford is a top 5 CB in the league. There is no doubt he will make it

Team Auto Pen didn’t want these people to vote 1 month later. They were in no hurry to assist with that. If it were Atlanta speed would have matched the 28 days it took them to build a multi billion dollar bridge in Gaza -

Oh, I thought I heard the incident may have occurred when he was on college visit. If he was an enrolled student and living in the same dorm, the insurance coverage would still be "Mom and Dad" and/or U of K for failure to supervise/safeguard females in the dorm. -

Tua shouldn't be on there, but at least he is ranked pretty low. It's fun to see Cook get on the list. He had a really good year. I hope Spencer Brown makes it. He and Dawkins were just excellent last year. But I doubt he gets the love. I'm sure Dawkins will make it. Does Christian Benford make it? It seemed like he got talked about a lot more last year.
