Where is Landon Jackson ???
EmotionallyUnstable replied to Buffalo Barbarian's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yep I think this was a, “we need depth at the position in the future” move. It was similar to the Bernard pick. Wasn’t an immediate need but obviously we have some holes at the position upcoming. Next season we were looking at Groot, Hoecht and Solomon. I think Jackson likely assumes the Epinessa role (who has been playing some good football) and then they’ll look to add their usual hired gun rental (Smoot, Floyd, Bosa, etc.) I think patience is key here. He isn’t hurting the team being inactive. Lots of other things to be mad about but to me this really isn’t one of them. -

The grand sum total of HALF of our entire WR core through the first 7 games *combined* is 13 catches for 164 yards and 1 TD. That's insanely bad. You really can't do much worse than what Tyrell Shavers, Elijah Moore, and Curtis Samuel are bringing this team. That's not even taking Keon Coleman into account. You're not wrong that there are variables such as learning the route tree and developing rapport with Josh. But if whomever we bring in can stay healthy, I would be shocked if they weren't better than what we're getting from those 3 - even with variables. -

That's how my 4th ex wife was too. Either way, it's wrong!

I think Gabe Davis, assuming he's healthy has to be one of the favorites for a spot on the PS. I suspect Micah Hyde is retired for good. I wouldn't rule out Ankou, but I hope they can find better. I can't imagine them signing Wilkins though. He just doesn't seem like he would fit on the Bills especially with his history versus Josh. I like Hamler, but I think he's too much like Samuel and Moore. I would think they want a different body type and projected role. To be honest, I think there are other positions where the need is greater. Yeah, Buffalo could use a great WR, but they aren't going to be found on a practice squad.

Ed Oliver bicep injury - likely out regular season
Buffalo716 replied to DJB's topic in The Stadium Wall
I mean if we could get it back for the divisional round I would be doing backflips and I can't do a backflip But AFC championship game super bowl window seems like the time frame unless he has these Superman healing genes -

Ya for sure. Lets hope it's around the 10 week mark and he can come back for wildcard weekend. I think that's a stretch, but like you said it can depend on the person -

Would I be excited for a WR trade? Yes for sure. It’s fandom and brings some energy and conversation to the team. You can always hope! But I’ll go on record saying that whatever mid trade they work out (if any, I never expected them to) it will be a disappointing outcome that won’t move the needle at all. There is just too many other factors at play here and I don’t see a single player that would come in at this point of the year and develop the rapport, trust and attention that the current make-up of the offense would utilize at a level to impact the trajectory of the season. The results of a trade for an average guy would likely end up being JAG. -

I hate to be that guy but he’s proven he doesn’t have Superman genes he had his leg stepped on in practice and didn’t play for a month -

Yeah, I agree. The Bills don't tell anyone in the media anything when it comes to these kind of things. It's just Sal looking at the guys that are presumed to be available and picking one that fits best. And it's pretty clear that the only names that are obvous are Rashid Shaheed, Brandin Cooks, and Jakobi Meyers. By the way, welcome back. -

Yeah but everybody has different timetables including freak athletes I'm a big MMA guy outside football and I remember yoel Romero who was a freak from the Cuban program.. and he had his orbital bone smashed and by the time he was going in for the surgery the surgeon said he's never seen a human like that before His ligaments were like four times the normal size and his bones were already healing by the time of the surgery Hopefully Oliver has some Superman genes -

For those that don't click Twitter: Tommy Akingbesote is who they signed. 6'3" listed at 306lbs. He was actually a 7th round pick by the Cowboys. And for those that need his Carolina Panther history....he spent 15 days on their PS in earlier this year. -
My sincere apologies. Didn’t mean to trigger you. Can you believe it’s only 6 democrat jackasses that stand in the way of military folks and air traffic controllers getting paid? Don’t even get me started on SNAP.

I don't think the Bills tell Shill anything. He gets to lick boots and if he doesn't like it they will give Maddy his job. Next to Jakobi, Shaheed would seem the most likely WR to be available though. -
Despite all the love for Hancock (who had a huge blown coverage at the end of half on a deep post bailed out by the Bosa sack) I thought Po played a very solid game in run support. Probably the right move right now. I am curious why they like Hancock at S in 2025 and if he’ll have a look at the nickel in 2026. Taron might have played the worst half of football I’ve ever seen from him. I don’t love th Phillips addition, but they must feel okay will Ogunjobi at the 1T even though he was a bit of a mixed bag on Sunday. Ed will sorely be missed and yet the state of the DL hasn’t felt this strong in a while. Between Bosa, Groot, Hoecht, Walker and Epinessa, they’ve got some juice to really collapse a pocket. With Ed down, I’ll be curious to see who they look to in those 3rd and long Nascar front. They were having a lot of success with Bosa and the overload of Ed/Hoecht/Groot forcing 1v1s as well as a variety of pressure looks on the weak side. It is really a shame they lost Ed, but I think they’ll be okay up front. The back 7 continues to be my biggest area of concern on D

https://bangedupbills.com/2025/10/27/ed-oliver-injury-update-biceps-tear-diagnosis-and-recovery-timeline/ Not sure if this has been posted. But as most of us know, the banged up bills guy doesn't seem too optimistic about him returning. Sounds like if the Bills make the SB, he would have a solid chance -
