Or fly him in a helicopter from his home roof directly to Highmark stadium (special landing). He makes his speech and then gets back in the chopper back to his home. I am sure Pegula can arrange for that !

How the hell do the 49ers have a cap space of 47M in spite of paying a top QB and a top DE salary !!! -

Do you say things like this so that you donāt have to pay attention, think, and seem intelligent? What makes you say this? Truly a dimwitted comment. Many, many on the right have spoken out against this. Itās all over the internet and social media. Do you want people to take to the streets over the matter? -

Did you unironically post Trump prioritizing Israel over America like itās a good thing? Please be joking. - Today

Even when I saw what was posted, I still couldn't wrap my head around it. It just made zero sense to roster a 33 year old Jordan Phillips, who spent all off-season on the couch. Bad look for Ryan Talbot to specifically make a point of saying the signing was to "the Bills 53 man roster, NOT the practice squad". At least he realizes it was a dumb move to run with that before he got the full details.

I think he is who would be brought in if they both are to miss more than a couple games. But I think it would be depth and he wouldn't be my choice. But this regime constantly values experience in the Defense over talent. It's why we keep bringing back Jordan Phillips. It's why we dug up the bones of Josh Norman. I personally think Douglas is toast. But I know they'd turn to him over anyone else first. Especially this close to the start of the regular season. They wouldn't trust someone new to come in and quickly get down his scheme. And/or they don't want to put in the extra work of teaching someone the Defense with everything else they're focusing on. I personally would bring in someone else. But realistically, I know they wouldn't do that.

Yea he is never a straight down the highway kicker. His kicks were fine apart from the chip shot. He is always going to flirt with the uprights a bit.

Great point. And while there is elements when the coaching staff does this even if it isnāt routinely noticed, it seems to be a very linear way of draw defense as a whole. Itās system A, no ifs ands or buts. It has to be the exact type of player and if itās not, the issue is forced or addressed solely by position rather than the best available talent. Drafting then becomes the issues Iām sure most have. Thereās a few problems we are encountering because of this mindset and lack of foresight. Draft the best player available, not solely for a system or need. The same things have been the problems for a few seasons now; WR, DLine and Secondary. Thank goodness they hit on Benford cause that unit is a disaster without him. -
You can have no interest in developing a QB, no dispute there. But when you have a superstar QB, the development comes from mentoring and guidance from the guy above him as much as it does coaching staff. The point isnāt about drafting a guy to replace or ābecome the next Joshā but rather an insurance policy incase something happens because if it does this team isnāt going to win much. The point isnāt every year but once in a while to take a flier on a guy you have as that insurance or are able to exchange for future draft pick/s to get another shot at a Milano, Taron, Shakir or Benford⦠Mitch was dreadful in Pittsburgh, a team that is very friendly for a QB. They moved on to Kenny Pickett because he wasnāt doing enough, which even then had to be pretty minimal. If you believe Mitch can be successful at leading us to multiple wins if Josh is unavailable, more power to you. I was in that camp prior to his Pittsburgh 2 year deal. Not anymore. Thereās better options out there. Grooming a backup versus a guy whoās played a ton of football and done so very averagely since his Sophomore year seems like a smarter option. Especially when you revert it back to your point about rather having a chance at more late round gems; you could get something for him.

He's like a golfer who can't fix his slice. So he can make 85% of his kicks from the left hash but God help us if its on the right.

Raiders traded a 5th for Kenny pickett
-
Well, Cleveland got a 5th rounder from the Raiders for freakinā Kenny Pickett.
-
Surprised Walker isnāt higher. It seemed like nearly every other pass rush he was tossing someone aside. Still great to see both our guys up there though.
-
Laugh at the Raiders all you want, but Geno can throw the ball and their offense features Brock Bowers and Ashton Jeanty. I also think Dont'e Thornton is going to excel in their offense.

I'm not telling anyone to be happy or not... I'm saying they adapted. It's pretty clear that 11 significant moves on defense (6+3+2) are an attempt to address a deficiency ("adapt a bit") as I was suggesting to Puckman. Feel however the hell you want.
