  1. Past hour
  2. If he catches it and we eventually won that game and made the SB, it would be advantage us. Keon has better stats plus a SB birth + Keon is an asset as run blocker. But as it stands, KC beat us and worthy played a big part in keeping us from the SB, so I can see how people would say they are currently winning the trade. They’ve achieved more. I’m anticipating Keon being a key part of something special that will get us a Lombardi I don’t think Keon is the same guy as he was last year in the playoffs and he’s likely to just get even better. Room to grow as a WR
  3. First of all, the Bills do have some speed on their team: Worthy 4.21 [40-time] Samuel 4.31 Moore 4.35 Shakir 4.43 And obviously Worthy is waaaay faster than Keon, and no one is going to describe Keon as a receiver who can "take the top off a defense"...and yet, it might interest you to know: In 22 games (including playoffs), Xavier Worthy has 12 receptions of 20 yards or more (54, 50, 50, 37, 35, 31, 28, 26, 24, 23, 21, 21). In 20 games (including playoffs), Keon Coleman has 15 receptions of 20 yards or more (64, 57, 49, 44, 28, 25, 25, 24, 24, 21, 21, 21, 21, 20, 20). Does it really matter if you get them with speed/route running, or you get them with route running/jump balls or whatever?
  4. That's correct, our receivers have a hard time getting open on short to intermediate routes, let alone longer downfield routes. The bottom line is, we need and have needed, a very fast receiver who can constantly separate and can go deep and keep defenses honest. We have pretty much all the other pieces on offense, but the defense is another story as 90% of the draft capital and resources seem to go to that side of the ball with Beane and McDermott running things and we have very little to show for it when it comes to having a dominating defense. The defense mainly has kept us from going all the way multiple years now.
  5. Honestly, I think the Ravens are done for this year. And still no update on the mysterious Lamar hamstring injury…
  6. Difficult to disagree with this plea for perspective. Also important to distinguish between fans who "melt down" versus fans who "make critical observations" of a 4-0 team whose opponents are a collective 2 and 14... WOW!?!? Not melting down about it, but definitely not basking in these early wins where both the winless Saints and Dolphins had the Bills back on their heels in consecutive 4th quarters...
  7. The Bills are currently rated #1 in the NFL with the least amount of passing yards allowed after 4 games. What’s the team’s problem again?
  8. Especially if you factor in the Bills taking DeWayne Carter with the 3rd pick from KC and KC used the 4th pick they got from the Bills on Jaden Hicks, who is their starting safety. How does Kincaid not making that catch in the AFCCG related to Coleman and Worthy? One guy was instrumental in helping his team in the postseason season while the other guy was blanketed by a db whenever a ball was thrown his way in the playoffs. Guess which one Buffalo got?
  9. That's the cold hard truth! If we had better couching and better drafting, with Josh at the helm, it should have been us!!!
  10. I gotta say; looked like the "no cover/ under" fix was in.
  11. Totally agree. He essentially has to rip up his contract if he wants to be here next year or he simply won't be. But either way, Hawes role is Hawes role. When Knox leaves, they'll bring in another pass catching first Tight End to replace him. They aren't going to turn Hawes into a route runner first and negate the work he's doing in pass and run blocking.
  12. My most frustrating example of this lack of in-game play-calling anticipation/countering, is actually from the offense: every single time Brady (and/or Allen, depending on pre-snap reads and checks) runs Cook repeatedly until the defense finally stuffs one. That predictable, stuffed run play, several times each game, is a wasted down that could have been at least a look at an explosive play-action throw downfield. Why not stay a step AHEAD, rather than waiting for the opposing DC to catch up? I know the cliche of "run it 'till they stop it" but that doesn't have to mean consecutively all at once! Gotta keep defenders off balance and in conflict as much as possible to give your guys every little advantage available.
  13. Curious about how FinHaven was reacting to the Hill Injury, and expecting If be plowing through gallons of popcorn in the process, I traipsed on over to their board to read the tea leaves: Hills injury | FinHeaven - Miami Dolphins Forums What strikes me is that they're about as lifeless as their team. God, here we are, with Schopp and The Bulldog caterwauling for three hours about how our 2nd and 3rd string RB's aren't producing enough. Meanwhile, one of the most dangerous offensive weapons in the league is probably done for the season, if not his career, and Dolphins fans are basically like, "Oh man, that sucks...". Can you, for one moment, try and imagine this board if we were in their shoes? We would be literally burning the Internet to smithereens! Maybe... Just maybe we should take a moment to realize how damn good we have it, right now, folks. Maybe we shouldn't melt down when our 2nd and 3rd stringers aren't posting Madden stats. Maybe... Just maybe we should check ourselves before we become kin to the dreaded, two-decades-worth of entitled Pats fans... Perspective is a lonely hand to hold, boys. We got it pretty damned good!
  14. Crazy 2nd quarter. All our drives were short. 3 and out, 6 and out, 3 and out, 3 and out. Josh in fact completed 2 passes for 4 and 8 yards, but he was sacked twice for -7 and -9 yds, bookending a false start by Dion Part of it seems to be an attempt to open up a deeper passing game, resulting in a pick and an incompletion.
  15. My take is that I'd feel better about the trade if we had gotten a good player with that 3rd rounder, and not DeWayne Carter who is very likely to be a total bust at this point. My other take is that I think both teams got the players they would have taken if they had stayed at their original pick. So mostly I just can't bring myself to care. Coleman makes our team better and Worthy makes their team better. They also each fit what their respective offenses want to do. I think Worthy has already pretty much hit his ceiling and Coleman still has room to grow, and I'm a sucker for high ceiling players so I'd still take Coleman right now if it were up to me. But there's not an ironclad argument for either player. It's week 5 of year 2 of their 10+ year NFL careers. Everyone needs to chill out and see where it goes.
  16. Playing this out... Let's say McD were to decide to make a change at DC, who is it there that fits his D philosophy? Off the top of my head, I can't think of anyone. And promote from within will leave a hole somewhere. I dont want McD taking over D duties in this year where we are aspiring for a SB. It is quite frustrating to see after all the resources that have been allocated to that side of the ball.
  17. Honestly looking at it just by the numbers, Ryan Stonehouse makes a lot of sense. Still young, was an all pro, had an injury but appears to have bounced back. Huge leg. I don’t know what his hang time and placement is like but he can kick it
  18. I'm not the defensive scheme guru that others here are, but how can you not, at least to some extent, leave the DE on an "island" as an initial run defender, in McDermott's scheme? (at least, not without leaving a giant hole somewhere else)? Of course, in McDermott's scheme, the LB and the safety should be reading and reacting correctly so the DE isn't the ONLY player in the way. But the DE has to be able to set the edge against the run. I thought Williams played better last year when he was filling in for Milano. Not that he wasn't still in the wrong place sometimes, just less of the time Perhaps we were hiding him better last year, between the DL rotation and Rapp/Hamlin instead of Rapp/Bishop?
  19. Can’t worry about that. Gotta do what’s best to improve your team. After 1 year, it’s worked out better for the chiefs because Kincaid dropped a pass. There are still years to be played and I have a feeling that the trade will work out significantly more for us in the end. Just like trading Mahomes will work out best for us long term. If we drafted Mahomes, we’d probably still be at zero SBs……and we wouldn’t have Josh Allen. Who will win us at least one SB before it’s said and done. Which is likely more than Mahomes would’ve gotten us 🍀 drafting Mahomes means we would’ve never drafted Josh Allen. That’s a bad trade for us as fans.
  20. Knox seems unlikely to be on the team next year. He could take a big cut. Pennies on the dollar basically. One the most most overpaid players we have had in recent memory which isn't even insulting the guy. He has a top 5 cap hit next year. He has been among our higher cap hits for several years. That will end next season. He can either go ahead and accept what less than half his current deal or he can sign elsewhere and come back for 1/10th of his current deal in 2027.
  21. Big blow for the Ravens.
  22. What if I'm not trying to give Collinsworth's*** company the youtube traffic (like it really matters)? Can anyone summarize or even share a screenshot of the grades? ***
  23. This one of the many "urban legends" that permeate this board.
