  1. Past hour
  2. The problem I have is that Moore has been decent pretty much on 2 of the worst teams in the NFL over a long time in the Jets and Browns, playing with trash cans at QB, and you can't figure out how to make him look half as good as he did there with Allen playing QB and a solid team around him? Gross incompetence on the part of Brady.
  3. What is there to know? He was the 34th pick in the draft and cut by his original team after two seasons. The Browns have a bad WR group and they also let him go after two seasons. His career is just about done at this point. He'll bounce around training camps and maybe practice squads for another couple of seasons and then the calls will stop coming. He's a small WR with a low catch radius and never developed the nuance necessary for a physically limited player to be successful.
  4. and getting a Neiman Marcus WR could mean you couldn't add a guy like Bosa, so tell me would this team look better to you if let Shakir walk in UFA replace him with DK Metcalf and never signed Bosa? I will stand on a platform and say no.
  5. The guy had his worst statistical year here. Fine with releasing as he still isn't good but he wasn't the problem.
  6. My thought is Brady really sucks at using players who actually can play but he makes them look like they can't.
  7. When we have Joe Brady, who loves to run wide receiver screens for Shakir, that doesn't work out at all, and he still goes back to that, we have major probs.
  8. Be prepared for a tweener DE/LB or a mediocre DB.
  9. it's one of the strangest plans i can remember tbh we need more possessions on offense but we try to play ball control and kill the clock. we say the way to win is to run the ball but we build our defense to stop the pass makes zero sense
  10. Should’ve just ir’d Samuel but whatever. Going to take a miracle for this team to have any impact in the playoffs.
  11. Lmao if you had stated specific teams I’d be able get behind it but “anyone”. Really? Buffalo, if they beat Buffalo again in Gillette there is 0 chance that Vegas puts the odds on them to win. Pitt took 5 TO for them squeak a win out… Indy who plays in a dome coming to cold and maybe snowy Gillette? And as people here like to say have beaten no one Denver - who have they beaten? And their O is sporadic at best.. but awesome D. Ravens - possibly but depends how they look too isn’t like they been world beaters this year. And they may miss the playoffs .Chargers - please west coast team coming to east coast have historically done bad esp in the playoffs.. My point is there is no dominant or scary playoff team this year in the AFC.. any team can beat any other team.. IMO the scariest team for my Pats be the Texans because that D could shut down the O completely and Maye be hit like a piñyata.
  12. the emphasis in the spring MUST be adding a legit higher tier WR1 and a legit WR2. Enough is enough.
  13. I don't thinks so. When Cooper came here there were way more expectations. He was brought in and everyone thought he would be the WR1 we needed No sane person is laying those expectations on Cooks. Honestly if he gives us a few timely plays, maybe a dozen catches, around 200 yards and a TD or two, I think that's meeting what realistic expectations should be. Also Cooper cost us a day 2 pick, Cooks costs us nothing but a small portion of salary.
  14. This is a terribly heartless thing to say, but I view guys like him, Samuel, and even Cooks as lottery tickets. They have shown flashes in the past, will they blossom here? Who knows. I'm never mad when we sign them (and I was actually cautiously optimistic about Samuel). If they don't pan out, it is time to move on. You don't keep lottery tickets that don't win. Of course, it is a valid argument that we shouldn't be in such desperate straights that our strategy appears to be lottery tickets. The fan in me says...maybe one of them will hit.
  15. It means we're on to Pittsburgh, ya dig?
  16. I don't have socials. What did he say.
  17. Silver lining … with this team, we don’t have to ask “who’s going to replace the production” if a wide receiver is injured or cut.
  18. It’s really insane when you think about it. Do you think our offense would look like this if we had an offensive minded HC and GM from the get-go of Allen’s career? First priority would be get Josh an offensive line that could protect him. Second get him some weapons. Third, fashion a defense which is high risk, high reward, i. e. designed to get the ball back in Josh’s hands as many times and as soon as possible. I’m thinking the Rams defense during the Greatest Show on Turf era. Instead, we have a ball control offense designed to minimize turnovers and a bend but don’t break defense which fails in the post-season every damn time. It’s crazy.
  19. I don’t care about Beane or McDermott and them staying or going . I just want them to win that’s my option. One doesn’t have to be inclusive of the other
  20. Have never seen so many" missing pieces" miss...
  21. I'm assuming Gabe will be added to the 53 this week or next week Shakir Palmer Cooks Shavers (should be getting more targets but isn't) Davis Samuel IR? Coleman still inactive?
  22. Question. Did they release him because they signed Cooks? Or did they sign Cooks because Moore asked to be released? Moore has some productivity in the past. His utilization in this offense is probably hurting his modest (in NFL standards) future earnings.
  23. It's always going to be someone else's fault with this staff. They'll let one of the kitchen staff go before doing anything meaningful.
  24. I really hope we sign Pierce. And draft a couple wrs with our 1st 2 picks This is a very tough lesson for Beane not to be cheap at wr ever again with Allen. The offense generally speaking needs to take priority. That's the whole point of a defensive hc
  25. My thought is you don't rely on guys that are still available to be signed after the draft to play important roles for your team. Especially at premium positions. The narrative that he just needed good QB play to turn his career around was always ridiculous. The tape was out there and NFL pro personnel departments aren't stupid.
  26. The int in Houston was ugly though. Made no attempt for ball IMO
