If you are cutting Hamlin, do it now...
stevestojan replied to Ethan in Cleveland's topic in The Stadium Wall
You need someone to replace him first. Your recommendation is to cut him before you literally have anyone to replace him? Next man up needs to actually be a person on the Bills team. -

Love your avatar! ...Agree Safety is a mess and they have to be looking. Hamlin needs to be sent packing now so he has a chance to catch on if anybody wants him. Can either Hyde or Poyer be a worse pickup at this point. (?) with Milano being a FA after this season I thought they'd draft a replacement, not. -

Hamlin will be the starter. McDermott loves him. He understands the complex McDermott system Who else do we have ? Cole Bishop? -

I agree that these backups looked horrid tonight and if this was our starting team, we'd be cooked. However, hopefully these guys don't see the field, and if they do, they all don't see the field at once. Safety is very concerning, though. -

In retrospect, I wish I had spent those three hours of my life doing something else - cleaning garbage cans, getting my teeth drilled, anything other than watching that game. -

It was… massively disappointing… that he looked like a liability among backups. I’ll give Cole Bishop a little more leeway as he was just getting back into the swing of things, but with Hamlin, there’s no excuse. -
I definitely think the franchise qbs of today can go late 30s, where 36ish seemed to be the cutoff in Kelly's days.

"When I hear people say that, 'oh, it elevates him.' Well, all we do is talk about Putin all the time! All the media's done is talk about Putin all the time for last four, five years. That doesn't mean he's right about the war. That doesn't mean he's justified about the war. Put all that aside. It means you're not going to have a peace agreement between Russia and Ukraine. You're not going to end a war between Russia and Ukraine without dealing with Putin!" "That's that's just common sense. I shouldn't even have to say it! So people can say whatever they want. Ultimately, at the end of the day, we have to get the Russian side to agree to things that they don't want to agree to if we're going to have peace. If not, there'll just be a war." "They'll keep k*lling each other and life will go on in America and in the rest of the world, but not for Ukraine. So the president has invested a lot of time in trying to bring an end to this war. He deserves credit for doing that. He gets criticism for doing that. He could have just let this war go on. The president could have just said, 'this is Biden's war, it started under him, we'll do what we can for Ukraine, but we're going to focus on other things.' He could have easily said that. But he's the only leader in the world that got Putin to a meeting to talk about serious things."

Cleveland Browns building a new dome stadium
Sierra Foothills replied to DJB's topic in The Stadium Wall
I disagree, Sir Andrew. Probably the reason other metros are building domed stadiums is because the expense is justified. Erie County is the 60th most populous county in the United States. Buffalo is the 82nd largest city. Buffalo is smaller than such "major cities" as Bakersfield and Fresno... Omaha and Corpus Christi... Buffalo has about the same population as Fort Wayne and is barely bigger than Toledo, Ohio. There were how many concerts in Highmark last year? I seriously doubt that there are any stadium-caliber performers who are going to want to come to Buffalo in December to play a concert... even if it's in a domed stadium. I'd bet that when you crunch the numbers and compare the added cost of a domed stadium versus the additional revenues possible from non-NFL events, that the numbers don't pencil out. Comparatively, the Kansas City metro area is over 2 million people. The Chiefs will get a domed stadium if that's what they want. And I'm sure these numbers are well-known to those whose business it is to know them. Bottom line, if the ROI projected favorably, it would get done. Rich people aren't going to pass over a good investment. -

There will be an incredible amount of emotion around cutting Hamlin. He's just terrible and its obvious he needs to go. He's a wonderful survival story and he turned a terrible near tragedy into an amazing positive national story and education opportunity. It's time to move on though. Bills can not afford the distraction of cutting him after the next game and in the leadup to week 1. Do it tomorrow or Tuesday. Then start working the phones and move a reserve OL for a backup safety that at least belongs in the NFL.

No love for the Bengals who absolutely throttled us? I get that they’re having problems, but that roster is way too good to overlook.
