  1. Past hour
  2. In other words, he IS our elite receiver, but on the inside primarily. These are eye-popping stats. Moore, Palmer, and Samuel can create space for Skakir, the TEs, and RBs to do their thing.
  3. He peeps joshypoo's bathroom window.
  4. Thurman is a Hall of Fame back and clearly elite, but when you go down the list of all time greats he wasn't as special as a lot of them. Barry and Emmit belong well above him. So do Dickerson, Faulk, LaDanian Tomlinson and Adrian Peterson. I think of Thurman more in the Frank Gore camp, but even Frank Gore's production was something Thurman didn't get close to.
  5. Ranking primarily against slot receivers: Slot‑Receiver: Major Statistical Rankings for Khalil Shakir (2024) 1. Separation & “Wide-Open” Targets Shakir ranked 2nd in the NFL among all receivers in percentage of targets where he was “wide open” (two or more steps of separation), at about 71.3% of his targets while playing slot. That tied for third‑most “wide open” targets (85) league‑wide 2. Catches / Receiving Yards / Touchdowns 76 receptions, 821 receiving yards, and 4 receiving touchdowns on 100 total targets (or 115 slot‑based target volume in some PFF analyses) . Among slot receivers, he likely ranked in the top tier for receptions and yards, though exact slot-only peer-perfect positional rankings beyond PFF context aren't fully public. 3. Yards After Catch (YAC) Among all wide receivers in 2024, he ranked top three in yards after contact, missed tackles forced (25), and YAC per reception (≈7.7 yds). He also ranked 3rd in YAC per reception per another source (≈7.9 yds) among all WRs As a pure slot receiver, he was leading the position in these categories. 4. Catch Rate / Efficiency Shakir posted an NFL-best catch rate (among WRs with ≥40 targets) of ~93.3% in 2024, and 86.7% in 2023. These were all-time highs dating back to when targets were first tracked in 1992 Among slot receivers, that catch percentage likely placed him #1 by a wide margin. 5. Overall PFF Slot Grade Earned a PFF slot receiving grade of roughly 84.0, based on targets within ~9 yards of the line of scrimmage. That places him among the top three slot receivers nationally for the year PFF 6. Screens Caught 29 of 31 screen targets for 189 yards, with two touchdowns, 8 first downs, and an 83.5 PFF grade, making him 4th in receiving yards on screens among all receivers, and top among slot receivers . Shakir’s Rank (Slot WRs) Wide‑open target %. / total targets ~2nd (≈71.3%) Catches / Receiving Yards Top‑3 Receiving Touchdowns High but lower relative (4 TDs) Yards After Catch / Missed Tackles Top‑3 (leading slot WRs) Catch Rate #1 among slot WRs (≈93%) PFF slot receiving grade Top‑3 nationally Screen receiving yards & effectiveness Top‑1 among slot receivers Elite separation and “wide-open” opportunity rates. Exceptional catch efficiency, topping all WRs at his usage volume. Massive production after the catch, forcing missed tackles and generating big plays. Outstanding grade from PFF as a slot receiver, consistent with leading the position.
  6. Thurman was great but playing in same time as Barry and Emmitt definitely makes it harder to see it. Toss in he had Kenny Davis steal some of his carries. I mean I can't even name Sanders' or Smith's backups were. That said I place guys like Curtis Martin, Marcus Allen, Faulk, Tomlinson, Terrell Davis and many about him. He's maybe in top 20-25 of all time IMO.
  7. Yesterday
  8. You were posting feverishly the day Stormy took the stand! The good old days when the walls be closing! I imagine we could find some Storminess in your browsing history.
  9. Why do you keep trying to make this whole boundary vs slot receiver argument? What are you even talking about? It has absolutely nothing to do with what I'm talking about. I give up dude. You're right about whatever point it is you're trying to make. That was the story all game. They were off by a foot here or there over and over again all game. He didn't even hit the timing routes because that wasn't their bread and butter in that scheme. Fast forward to 2014 and everything was timing. The ball was out of Brady's hands before the D line even made it to the LoS.
  10. Shoulda taken McKinnie. Still don't know why we didn't.
  11. I think his legacy gets tarnished a bit by the Super Bowl losses and Emmet's legacy gets lifted by the Super Bowl wins. Not that it's fair but it is what it is. I think most diehard football fans recognize how good Thurman was though. It's tough too because his prime was over 30 years ago now and look at how many awesome running backs have come along since then.
  12. TRUMP ANNOUNCES HES SUING Now, what has absolutely been a distraction - from all the winning - and a bad look for Team Deep State that pushed this while TRUMP DID NOT PROMISE THIS, is gone and discredited. And that’s why. This situation proves Trump is a right about what would happen to the innocent people that knew nothing of Epstein sicko island. Great work libs. Great work.
  13. You can't put a price on helping your poor, old, ever so slightly left leaning media. But for $75 you can get this sweet NPR Tiny Desk tote bag to show all the old folks at Pinochle that your ride or die is Team Ice Cream for Brains.
  14. Sounds like he died while paragliding (heart attack maybe?) and that caused the crash. He was already dead in the air before he hit down. Luckily no one else seriously injured, although one hotel worker got hit and went to the hospital for a neck injury. I remember watching that jump from "space". So cool. Was a bit hairy for a moment because iirc he went into a spin, but then got out of it and ultimately landed on his feet! RIP
  15. Omg this is glorious Homeloser - keep it going bro My instincts. Spot on. As usual. Hahahahahahahahaha
  16. Bigbird disagrees. Miss Piggy and Kermit too.
  17. I saw that. Was it ever determined what the difference was between him and say Bo Jackson? Was it because Bo didnt go back to school (since the Bucs blew his eligibility which was why he refused to go to Tampa)?
  18. Felix Baumgartner, 56, the man who jumped from a balloon at 24 miles altitude in Oct 2012 died today in a paragliding accident in Italy.
  19. I don’t mean to distract from Trump - Epstein “birthday letters” 🤣 but this is also a win!
  20. Hahaha didn't think about that - yeah that would be annoying lol
  21. How much will you give? A token amount for self satisfaction purposes or something meaningful?
