I think they hoped for legit starters. And got that with neither.

Are Fan Expectations Too High for Keon Coleman?
Augie replied to JohnNord's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think there was natural growth and learning as well, but yeah, I thought it was the back that just wouldn’t let him go. Back pain can be terrible stuff! -
And as I said, I think they knew exactly what they were getting. They got two guys who are still in the NFL and who have produced more yards than most of the running backs drafted in their draft class. They got what they expected and I don't think it was any place close to a fireable offense.

Spencer Brown was never as bad as what some people made out to be Maybe his first couple starts ever His arrow was pointing very high up for so long that before the last season I literally called him a future All pro breakout player .. he's consistently been improving throughout his career And I wasn't talking out of my butt I saw him the last 16 months turning a page and he is absolutely going to be one of the best 3 right tackles .. probably already between 3-5 Even in the 2023 season all the signs were there -

Just because you agreed and have been saddled with an L now doesn't make him not wrong. Whether Brown was the biggest problem with the Bills offense was ENTIRELY an opinion. One that zealots ran with, in part because of who posted it. It was a premature b!tch about a talented player who had been learning on the job and dealing with injuries without using the trajectory of other young RT's as context. Or the context that RT's that are struggling are pretty easy to compensate for. It's literal fact that you can get to SB's with guys like Max Lane or Mike Remmers. You can lead the league in rushing and big plays with a guy like Jordan Mills. I could list bad RT's on good offense's for days. Lane and Remmers might cost you the game with Reggie White or Von Miller lined up across from them in a SB.........or maybe you win a couple SB's in spite of an Andrew Wylie at RT. But it's a VERY navigable problem when not facing the best of the best. If that's really your biggest problem you ain't got much to complain about. And at that time, the Bills had CLEARLY other issues on offense. -

I was honestly just kidding and trying to get things back on track. I’ll wait and see on his numbers. It could go either way. . -

Fair enough, Leh-nerd. I did enjoy your “astute” remark and the BMI compliments! A +1 rep boost for you! It’s only a “like” reaction and not an “awesome” reaction, however, because I only counted these 2 distinct compliments when I was kinda hoping for a compliment tally more in the 5+ range from you... But getting back on topic, let’s now briefly review La Commie Kay’s outline of what SHOULD be done (but obviously won’t): 1. Stop attacking Iran. 2. Lift all economic sanctions on Iran. 3. Negotiate a JCPOA v2.0 deal with Iran. 4. Encourage internal revolt and regime change within Iran. 5. Arrange a permanent ceasefire and full hostage exchange between Israel and Hamas. 6. Send Bibi, Smotrich, Ben-Gvir, and the rest of Israel’s government leaders to The Hague for their war crimes. 7. Send Hamas military leadership to The Hague for their war crimes. 8. Lead an international coalition to guide a new single Israel-Palestine country, with full and equal rights for all, regardless of ethnicity or religion. P.S.: 24.8 BMI is actually pretty good! Don’t forget that muscle weighs more than fat, so I think BMI as a health metric can sometimes be misleading for guys. But you gotta go 100% whole-food plant-based if you want to drive from Fat Boy City to Slender Man Town! P.S.P.S.: WTF is a “cassette deck,” bruh?? Is that a device situated alongside your rotary phone, typewriter, and cathode ray TV?? (P.S.)^3: The rapper spells his name as “Eminem.” You were thinking of the candy, “M & M’s.” Typical 20’s BMI’er…always thinking about junk food… Even lesser known fact: John Lennon’s first draft to those original lyrics predicted the internet, Two Bills Drive, and our political debates all in one!! He was so far ahead of his time because he could LITERALLY see half a century into the future! Lennon, however, probably correctly assumed that the people would fear his powers of omniscience. So he promptly threw this first draft into the trash bin, to be forever forgotten by history, until now… Imagine there’s no Leh-nerd. It’s easy if you try. No conservative poster With a 24.8 BMI. Imagine all of PPP Havin’ more of their say. Ah-ha-aaah… Imagine there’s no Leh-nerd. It isn’t hard to do. No one for Kay to bully And to claim smells like poo. Imagine all of PPP Lookin’ less obese. You-oo-oooh… You may say Kay’s a dreamer, But she’s not the only one. Muppy has her own opinion, “Ugh. With his MAGA rants I’m done.” Imagine there’s no Leh-nerd. I wonder if you can? Fewer non-sequiturs and whataboutisms, As if a moderator ban. Imagine all of PPP Sans Leh-nerd’s thoughts unfurled. You-oo-oooh… You may say Kay’s a dreamer, But she’s not the only one. Muppy once more opines, “Meh. His verbose opinions had a good run.”

For the most part I agree with you. But……. If Iran has a nuke (more) at the ready and is pointed directly at Manhattan, you would want our government to blow that place to the ground, no matter if you like the current regime or not. And we the public CERTAINLY do not have the information available on ready-to-go nukes, while the administration most certainly does.

Simon was not wrong though. When he posted those things, Spencer was struggling. Mightily. It’s not like made a proclamation that he would never be good. I think that was me, actually. Because the turnaround Spencer took - to go from as bad as he was to as good as he is - is almost unheard of. It’s extremely rare and not to be expected regularly. -

It’s a great area. They take care of their own there. My kid got a nice place in part because he’s Polish and says it’s still as nice there as when he left a few years ago. All due respect to Buffalo Polish, the tradition, heritage and culture is incomparable. The immensity of the neighborhood with so many Polish people with store signs, restaurant menus and newspapers in Polish kind of blew me away.

The Buss family is entering into an agreement to sell majority ownership of the Los Angeles Lakers to Mark Walter at a valuation of approximately $10 billion, sources told ESPN. It will mark the largest ever sale of a U.S. professional sports team. https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/45539931/buss-family-agrees-sell-lakers-mark-walter-sources-say Imagine what the Yankees or Cowboys are worth then

Further investigation shows that this was satire. But still a likely candidate for being like a Babylon Bee post that isn't far from being reality in the future. -
So, woodworking, not food. I’m usually all over the food stuff. We have friends who have a daughter really into the food part in a big way with amazing presentations. She taught my wife some stuff, then they gave her this super cool board. It’s got shelves that pull out and expose your various knives, etc. I didn’t know it could get that elaborate! Good luck!

Considering that you started the quintessential "complain about Spencer Brown" thread it's safe to say that the fan-blaming zealots on the board run with it when a moderator does that. And as for caricatures.........if I had to create a caricature of a corrupt "official" I would probably start with something like them openly discussing their crack use and posting pictures of themselves driving an old pickup truck 85 mph with no hands because you were making a peanut butter sandwich. Literal illegal activity. And threatening me over a vague reference to that awful thread would be another thing said corrupt cop would do.
