With Kincaid, Buffalo is 7-1 this year....

Kincaid draws coverage in a way that leaves Knox/Hawes wide open. This needs to be exploited. -

It's the Modelo recruiter's asst. -
Though I'm not completely dismissing this season, next year looks promising, especially if they make finding an elite receiver a priority, and land one. They'll need to address the aging nickel and safety positions, but WR has to be the top target. With the return of their injured D-linemen (hopefully Hoecht can return for the regular season), and maturity of 2nd and 3rd year players like Hairston, Bishop, Carter, Soloman, Sanders, Walker, Strong, Hancock, Jackson*, etc., they should be in good shape if they can shake the injury bug. They have a solid OL and good reserves. A very good TE group. With a couple of key additions through FA and the draft, I look for them the be a dominating team next season. The roster, when healthy, is far from being a disaster, and there's great optimism for next year when they christen their new home. *I'm really pulling for Jackson, but not convinced he's going to be an impact player.

One of the best talents, I grant you. But he never was or will be a great player for the very reasons we agree are his strong suits: grit and willpower. Both disappear if he's not in the mood to play, much like Pickens. He made that spectacular catch in Minnesota, but too often he disappeared in the clutch for the Bills, most notably in the 13-second game and in 2023, when he literally dropped the ball. No Hall of Fame votes from me. I'll remember him as a shot of adrenaline to the team and a critical piece of Allen's development, but also as a peevish, choke diva. I agree he'll show up on Sunday. He thrives on spite.

Back in my day, a cars owner's manual explained how to clean the lifters and how to properly dial in the timing system.......today's owner's manuals tell you to not drink the battery fluid, so i guess every generation has their "thing". If people "get off" on 67, whatever, man.........at least back in my day, 69 actually meant something.

Game week thread - Bills at Patriots*
Miyagi-Do Karate replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
I am a big Cam guy, but only because basically for a 3rd string player, he actually will make some good plays. I have been clamoring for the last several years for the Bills to use a highish pick on Taron’s replacement. That Taron role is basically the most important role on the defense. -

Stadium Construction Discussion (No PSL/Seat selection posts)
eball replied to JÂy RÛßeÒ's topic in The Stadium Wall
Ty Johnson is happy to hear that. Seriously, this stadium looks so freaking cool. I simply can’t understand those not excited about it, unless their reasons are financial (i.e., can’t afford to go). -
Who replaces Poyer at safety then? His expiration date is coming up fast.

This raises no red flags in my world. You guys need to get out of your bubble. And sworn testimony? Meh. - teef In 2023, Steve D'Antuono-- who was Assistant Director of the FBI field office in DC during and after January 6-- testified to the House Judiciary Committee that the cell phone data of the J6 pipe bomber had been "corrupted by one of the providers." According to the Brian Cole Jr. arrest affidavit, the FBI used data from his cell phone provider to track him to the vicinity of the RNC and DNC on the night of January 5. Seems very likely that D'Antuono-- who went on to lead the FBI's effort to round up all the J6 protesters-- lied to Congress about cell phone data being corrupted.

I agree these are all very good receivers and I would love to have any one of them on the Bills, but I would not call any of them real game changers. Since the original topic was not about receivers, I would add James Cook to the list as a great 2nd round pick that I'm sure most other teams wish they had made. If you look at the various lists of the top 50 players, it is littered with top 10 picks and the occassional mid-low round pick that just breaks out. My real point is that many people just look at the hits that other GM's have made and totally ignore their misses when evaluating Beane. Yes, he has made mistakes and had some busts, but so does every other GM in the league. If you can give me an example of a GM that consistently hits, I'd love to hear it. FYI, the late round pick comment is not an excuse, it's just a statement of reality that the odds of getting a game changer are much lower in the bottom 5 picks and the ability to trade up is greatly diminished based on the value of those picks. That said, you be you and just keep focusing on the Elams & Colemans and ignore the Cooks, Browns & Benfords.

Dennis Lock, who's photo doesn't appear on the team website near as I can tell, is "Vice President of Football Research". Maybe you spotted Cole Jacobson, football analytics guy late of the University of Pennsylvania, who is a "Football Research Assistant" for the Bills? -
I was down on him after his slow start to the season but I am glad I was wrong. I do think a healthy Bosa and and a healthy Oliver are arguably as good or close to being as good as CB 47 is.

The guy with the binoculars is charged with keeping an eye on the Niagara Falls skyline. If he sees it, he tells the director that the obligatory shot of the Falls is a 'go'. * 🤔😉 Used to be players and coaches. Now it's twenty something young women. -

There’s something different about McD this season…
BillsFan130 replied to eball's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think for a lot of McDermott fans, it would take them not making the playoffs for at least one season, probably 2. (If someone is a big McDermott supporter, correct me if I'm wrong of course) As the argument is always "it could always be worse and the grass isn't always greener". -

Taron Johnson’s was amazing, although I also liked this Nate Odomes one against the Raiders in 1990. First game I ever went to.
