  2. I'd add that most RB's start declining after age 27 regardless of usage and investing in McGovern and/or O'Torrence is more important to keep the line strong no matter what RB is in the backfield. The main argument folks can make about extending him now is they think he can buck most of those trends and extending him now is smart because he'll be more costly next year when he hits free agency. Plus, you get the added bonus of showing the locker room that if you work hard and do all the right things we'll reward you with a 2nd contract and it'll avoid any drama this summer. Beane's weighing all of these factors for sure and that's why having a hard number of what he thinks of his value is smart. I think the bigger sample size the better even if it means paying more next year. Both sides have compelling cases though.
  3. I never served. At an early age I knew that I would never serve in the Armed Forces. I had a kidney taken out at age 4 and when I expressed interest following my dad in the Navy as a kid, my parents let me know that I would not be accepted (4-F). Nevertheless when I turned 18 I went downtown to register to vote, get my sheriff's card (ID to drink back then) and to register for the draft as everyone had to although there was no draft for 2 years. They told me that tthat they would now have people register 2 times a year and the a few months later they stopped the registrations altogether. My friend that is 2 months older than me had a draft card.
  4. That you're aware of?
  5. "Dramatically"? Please...Ty Johnson has made some of the craziest catches for a RB that I have ever seen in my life over the past few years down field, including multiple ones in the Lions game and perhaps the best catch for an RB I have ever seen in my life in the Bronco playoff game sliding across the back of the end zone on 4th down to make an almost impossible catch that 95% of the WRs in the NFL likely would not have made. The Bills offense is a machine that averages over 30 points a game last year and set franchise records for points and touchdowns and was the most efficient in the history of the NFL. Exactly how would you "dramatically" improve on the best offense in team history and one of the most efficient offense in NFL history?
  6. Mr. Bone spurs calling it "my military parade". What a joke!
  7. First one for me 😁
  8. Dummy, yesterday was the ARMY's 250th b-day. The Marines is in November (don't know when the Navy; or the Air Force's is. Blame his mother for having him on June 14k which also is Flag Day. Are they going to have soldiers at the Navy b-day parade or drag ships down Constitution Ave?
  9. His wife stopped with money, guns, ammo and passports, presumably for him.
  10. The difference for Biden in 2020 is we had a once-in-a-century pandemic that the MSM blamed on Trump, fewer people working, less identity verification and Biden ran as a moderate and then completely changed.
  11. You and others here are making lots of assumptions about James Cook, basically that he'll never improve as a player: Pass protection is below par Pass catching is inconsistent Cannot handle a heavier workload His career curve will be no better than his brother's I don't make these assumptions. By all accounts James is a diligent and competitive player. He's 25 years old. Last year he asked for and received goal-line responsibilities and knocked that one out of the park. He was the best goal-line back that anyone following the Bills can remember. Many here seem to believe that were he to take snaps away from Ty Johnson that the Bills offense would be worse for it. I feel the complete opposite. I believe the Bills offense would improve dramatically. I also believe that Cook's best years are ahead of him. JMO.
  12. I was thinking about this differently. I was thinking, “what would my all-time, Bills starting lineup be?” The late 80’s is as far back as my memory goes. I’ve included HOFers before my time but not savvy enough to know if Sestak/Byrd/Edgerson/Cookie belong. I’ve also made some executive decisions because WR & RB have been better than TE. This is ONLY for their time as Bills (sorry TO) here it goes: QB - Allen RB: OJ RB: Thurman WR1: Andre WR2: Moulds Slot: Diggs LT: Dion LG: Joe D C Kent Hull RG: Shaw RT: House Ballard DE: Bruce DE: Mario Williams DT: Ted Washington DT: Kyle Williams OLB: Takeo OLB: Biscuit MLB: Talley CB: Winfield CB: Clemens S: Jones S: Poyer KR: McGee ST: Tasker K: Christie P: Moorman HC: Marv OC: Marchibroda DC: Schwartz
  13. I wasn’t at the Capitol, Tibsy but think it’s moderately crazy to be at any of these events. However I would not characterize stalking and assassinating political figures and health co CEOs as more crazy than most, if not all, of the J6 defendants. Or for that matter most of the protestors from the King Me rallies riots of yesterday. We’re 2 for 2 today. Agreed.
  14. Cook is a 2 down back who is terrible in pass pro. You don't pay big contracts to players that don't perform at the same level or the same roles as 3 down backs like Barkley or McCaffery who are the leaders at the RB position along with Henry who is one of the best backs ever. In the game James Cook missed, Ray Davis had 150+ all purpose yards.
  15. You sound like Billstime with the birthday routine. Sad. You are also one of the reflexive people. No big deal as there are tens of millions like you.
  16. Yes! Because throwing yourself a Big Military Birthday Parade is something North Korea's Dear Leader would do. The blowback was appropriate because the idea was offensive. So good on Trump's people and the Army for tacking in a different direction.
  17. America is tired of hearing about January 6th. Informed people know that much much worse crap has happened than that day.
  18. Guy seemed to have a nice exurban home despite a spotty job history. Wife made the money? Wife ready to dump him? Or maybe had already dumped him: He seemed to be living more on the edge, renting a room in the NE suburbs (far from where his family home was) ostensibly to be close to his security work. One of those "owned his own security company" which seemed more like "worked as an independent contractor as a security guard."
  19. It was crazy how MAGA took a time machine back 79 years and induced labor on Trump's mother so MAGA could stage the US Army 250th birthday yesterday to coincide with the birthday of the great orange menace. These fascists will stop at nothing!
  20. What makes a macaroni salad WNY style?
  21. Today
  22. After the first two games it felt like a pretty even heavyweight slugfest back and forth. After 5 games I think Florida has pulled away as looking like the better overall team. Edmonton might have it in them to force the Game 7 but I don't see Florida losing back to back games to give away the series.
  23. Been watching the Hip documentary on Amazon. Beautiful tune
