One of the reasons my town has become popular for retirees and others is a very good small hospital. It already picks up many of the difficult cases from several very rural hospitals. When those go under, ours will be slammed. And it’s not that big. Glad I’m retired. Hope I dont get sick.

Makes you appreciate having an all around great team where you can score and make big plays in all 3 phases. Seems like Buffalo had super stars in all of them. This is what’s obviously lacking these days. A little harder to have special teams players that can affect the outcome these days though.

I got pulled over going home for Thanksgiving once in college driving Cincinnati to Buffalo. This is about 1980 and the speed limit is 55 MPH. I got behind a Limo with a CB and fuzz buster (remember those?) and we were making great time. I got caught up in some trucks and was trying to catch back up to the Limo near an Ohio speed trap, and our eyes met as he passed me heading south. Our eyes actually met, and I knew I was screwed. I drove politely until he turned around and came up behind me with his lights on. He had me going 77 in a 55, and if you are going more than 20 over in this speed trap town you go to jail. Of course you do. I asked the kind officer what they would do with my Golden Retriever in the back seat while I visit the big house, and it seemed like the first time that occurred to him. He dropped me to like 73mph and I sent a check. Dogs really can be your best friend!
