  1. Past hour
  2. If he was seen choking Mother Teresa, the Bills would have still drafted him in round one. You know why? Because you can't have too many corners!!!
  3. Given the general police track record all across this country of not believing victims, not properly investigating, and not processing rape kits, I'm not sure how much stock I put into "no charges so therefore completely innocent". And most of that is on regular civilian rapes. When a top athlete in a small college town is involved, they're even more incentivized to sweep it under the rug. That is what hurt Araiza. SDSU and the local police originally swept the whole thing under the rug because SDSU was about to get a bid to join the PAC-12, and they didnt want to hurt the chances with a scandal. So they just ignored her claims. Had they properly investigated it at the time, they could have cleared Araiza and then it all goes away. Sounds like more was done here in the Hairston case, which is good. And most of the stuff is public record now so easier to make a determination. But in general, "the cops didnt press charges" doesnt mean much when it comes to star athlete assaults.
  4. Tomlin at 5 is a complete joke. 0-5 in playoffs the past 8 seasons.
  5. I didn’t quote you because I don’t believe you are interested in a real discussion outside of “I have faith in McDermott.” good for you but makes discussion useless.
  6. This is what you got from what I said? There are different levels of elite. Both Tom Brady and Phillip Rivers were elite....who was the level above? But to respond to your statement, the vast majority of Super Bowls are won by elite franchise QB's.
  7. So if a tractor trailer rearends you while you're stopped at a redlight doing 60 and puts you in a wheelchair for life thats a money grab? Makes sense to me.
  8. I don’t know what he’s saying, but I’m saying QB Brady > Old Man Belichick.
  9. I love the OP's confidence. His realistic prediction is we get to the SB. His optimistic prediction is we win it. My optimistic hope is we win but my realistic prediction is that we sadly bow out in the playoffs again. I'm not convinced were the best team in the AFC though I do think this team's roster may prove better than last year's. We'll see.
  10. Aaron Hernandez is smiling in Hades over this....
  11. So I have zero idea of the facts of this case. But let's pretend for a minute that you were sexually assaulted by a guy and the criminal justice system let you down. Isn't this EXACTLY how you would go about getting justice? Maybe not, but for a lot of people this is actually a pretty logical step. You can't get the criminal system to help, use the civil system. Again, I have zero clue if anything happened, just pointing out that there could actually be logic to this approach. As an aside, he better be good, otherwise why bother drafting someone with any baggage like this?
  12. If he was guilty the Cleveland Browns would have drafted him well before the Bills This make him innocent
  13. Beane and Hairston addressed it in interviews post draft. There wasn't a lot of chatter pre draft about it, but Joe Marino from Locked On Bills mentioned he heard of some SA allegations connected to Hairston and that was one thing to look at. He mentioned that pre draft and that was the earliest I heard about it.
  14. My source says JA17 to miami for Weber, Ennis, and a 3rd
  15. So you’re saying that having an elite QB matters way more to compete for Super Bowls than the coach lol
  16. That's what I meant. Writer her the check and end it.
  17. Also worth noting that she filed a police report back when Hairston was just a visiting college freshman, not a 1st round pick, which counters the notion that this has just been a big money grab. There is an increasingly common double standard that is happening with these cases on social media, where some of the same people saying "innocent until proven guilty" are quick to immediately pronounce the girl as a lying money grabber. Filing a false report is in fact also a crime so innocent until proven guilty applies in her case as well.
  18. I'm not sure who "this board" is. There are a lot of 'agnostics' on this board and I'm one of them. I wasn't there and don't know what happened. But in the Araiza situation, I was bothered by the rush to judgment by some and posted here about the Brian Banks story. Like others on this board, I acknowledge that sexual assault happens far too often in America. And like others on this board, I know sometimes false sexual assault accusations are filed - maybe about 2% to 7% of accusations are false according to various studies. Given that no charges were filed and I believe in the presumption of innocence, I'm willing to give Max the benefit of the doubt. But I won't throw stones at the woman because I don't know her or what truly happened.
  19. At least the lawyers waited a few weeks after the kid earned his money before pouncing, really helps the optics lol. The season can’t get here soon enough.
  20. He is old news. There is no evidence that his brand of head coaching works anymore in the league. Legendary coach, but I think without Tom Brady and his shady tactics and cheating, he doesn't offer a lot anymore.
  21. Pure nonsense. The Iranian nuclear weapons program was never going to stop, and they have never abided by any agreement about it. Ever. The Israelis knew that and committed massive assets to prevent it.
  22. He can certainly be charged or sued for alleged criminal actions which occurred before he was drafted. I don't think the league can suspend him for offenses prior to his status as an NFL player.
  23. Am I the only one confused about Beane calling it a "Title IX thing" ? Title IX is about gender equality in sports, I don't see why it would apply to allegations of sexual assault
