Game week thread - Ravens at Bills SNF

And this is all I'm saying. If Lamar's a choker because he hasn't won it all when they both have run u0 against the same team and had the exact same outcome then what are you really saying about your own QB. -
NFL Kickoff 2025: Dallas at Philadelphia (no Bills discussion, please)
gomper replied to chongli's topic in The Stadium Wall
I respectfully disagree. 6 months ago he was the SB MVP. After Barkley, who do you want to contain? He's a great mix of accuracy, running ability, and size to shake off the rush. I think he's an absolute pain in the ass to play against. He has the innate ability to squeeze out yards. Crazy that he's still underrated. -
2025 U.S. Open - **update Jessica Pegula (4 seed) now in semifinals

The glass half full is it feels like she’s almost ready to break through and win a grand slam…. She’s just not quite there yet -
Yeah, he went #7 overall. Meanwhile you and others are claiming that no one thought he would be good. Are you claiming he wasn't in play at #1? That that wasn't being reported all week? "The riskiest QB in the draft" doesn't go top-10. He would've been awesome on any team. Giving McDermott of all people credit for drafting him and coaching him up is laughable.

Trump 47, Putin & The Ukraine War.

If Trump wants to hit India hard you don't do it with tariffs. You target the IT services and outsourcing business provided to 100's of US companies. Its a double play. You get ModI's full attention and suggest to US firms they bring these jobs back home. As a kicker maybe sanction remittances sent from the US back to India via H1B workers. That's billions. They'll dump those Russian oil purchases quick. And if they don't the economy there takes a huge hit. -
Now, just imagine what Josh Allen could achieve with a competent GM, a better Head Coach, and one or two more elite, blue-chip players.

Because winning a Super Bowl is a team sport and winning the Super Bowl without any semblance of a pass rush is close to impossible to do. Our pass rush has sucked during the entirety of Josh Allen’s career. Maybe he should play Edge too. Maybe you don’t understand what “choking” is. Did Josh lose the game with 13 seconds left? Or did he win the game with 13 seconds left? https://www.statmuse.com/nfl/ask/josh-allen-and-lamar-jackson-playoff-stats other than last seasons season ending loss (when he had 2 turnovers) Lamar’s completion percentage in season ending losses reads: 48% (1 int 1 fumble lost) 52% (2 int- 1 FL) 58% (1 int) 54% (1 int 1 FL). Sorry, but your homeritis has blinded you. Can’t imagine how good the ravens would be if they had Josh Allen. You’d probably have 2 Lombardis in the last 5 season. Hard to gauge the 2 seasons the ravens didn’t make the playoffs due to Lamar not being able to play. Sorry for adding fuel to the fire- I honestly thought it was in the other thread. I moved his quotes from this thread to the other with hopes he would continue our conversation there and didn’t realize he deliberately moved it back here

The Civic/Fan atmosphere was unreal. I was fortunate to live through it all. There was no NFL all intruive interference. Erie County shut down on Sunday. The end of XXV was tough but there were many failures. The second was tough too. I was fortunate to be at the Oiler game (yes, I have the ticket stub). As a sports city Buffalo was incredible (and the Sabres were not have bad either) If you have a tape of the game - the commercials were very low key - the era of "WO#W" had not happened yet

AJ Brown has been an All Pro three consecutive seasons. The Eagles have had arguably the best offensive line the past 3 seasons. Barkley was an MVP candidate last year. DeVonta Smith was a #10 overall pick and has been pretty good as well for a second WR. Is there a better supporting cast for a QB in the league? Did we not all see how Darnold suddenly became a good QB when he went to a team with a strong supporting cast last season? Hurts is a good QB, and a good fit for what the Eagles do, but he isn't in the upper echelon of QBs.

Solid 53 yd FG, never any doubt -
This post is a word salad and has no relevance. You may want to giggle ChatGPT. But, and hear me out, they didn't.

I don’t think he is the one putting stress on anyone. It’s everyone else. He has two number 1 receivers, a top 5 TE, and the best RB in the league out there with him, behind probably the best line in the league. And all he does with that is throw 5-yard passes and scrambles? I think you put a guy like Tua on this team, and looks exactly the same.

No, you are mistaken. It was definitely suggested that Cleveland might take him first overall, and it was also rumored that Seattle offered them Russell Wilson straight-up for the #1 pick so that they themselves could take Allen. Rewriting history is suggesting there was ever a chance he wasn't going top-10.
