Buffalo Sabres and the NHL: 2025 - 2026
Ridgewaycynic2013 replied to Draconator's topic in Off the Wall
It's almost a shame that Tammy Faye Bakker went on to her eternal reward a few years back. Her tearful entreaties on behalf of the good people of Atlanta might just have brought a well deserved third NHL franchise to the city. 🙄🤨 -
So free speech is sacred but only when it flatters your flag. Criticize the US? Deport them. Say something uncomfortable? Ban them. Yet when your side storms the Capitol screaming '1776' cosplay slogans, it’s patriotism. And now the UK is your model for speech laws? Cool - should we start arresting half your Twitter feed too, or does censorship only apply to people you don’t like.

From the article - "actual information" you did not want to highlight The Senate version could add approximately $3.3–$4 trillion to the national debt over the next decade - $1 trillion more than the House plan. The House version alone is projected to increase deficits by $2.4 trillion. As much as $930 billion in Medicaid cuts over ten years; strict work requirements could slash eligibility for those with parents of older teens. SNAP (food stamp) changes: House version pushes high work mandates. CBO estimates: 11.8 million more uninsured by 2034 under the Senate plan. House bill alone could leave 10.9 million without health insurance. Extends 2017 Trump-era tax cuts, with special deductions for seniors, tips, and overtime but caps those benefits. SALT deduction remains capped at $10,000 (Senate) vs. $40,000 (House), favoring higher earners in wealthier states. Senate bill includes a staggering $5 trillion debt-limit hike, significantly more than the House’s $4 trillion proposal.

Update, actual information. Here are the key Big Beautiful Bill differences that the House and Senate will have to reconcile by Chris Nesi The Senate version of President Trump’s “One Big Beautiful Bill” that passed a key procedural vote late Saturday has some big differences to the version the House approved. Two Republican Senators — Thom Tillis (R-NC) and Rand Paul (R-KY) were the lone GOP holdouts in the 51-49 vote after caucus leadership spent hours rallying support for the multi-trillion-dollar bill. The current version of the bill, which Senate lawmakers got their first look at Friday night, clocked in at 940 pages, and is largely in line with what the House narrowly approved in May. https://nypost.com/2025/06/29/us-news/here-are-the-key-big-beautiful-bill-differences-that-the-house-and-senate-will-have-to-reconcile/

Bucket List Weekend - need NYC Reco's

Make a reservation too - otherwise you'll be standing (not that there's anything wrong with that - but the place gets packed!). -
I bet those players are really looking forward to that.

I get really annoyed when people lie, especially about me, and you sir, are a liar. I never "downplayed" anything related to that. I drove through their staging area that morning, saw that group and had to wait while the police stopped traffic as they crossed, and stated that very afternoon how insane they looked. For you to claim that I ever "downplayed" it is disgusting, without any substance, and a not unusual product of your bizarre imagination.

Wow that sounds so lame. And the "expected to come" part is pretty funny. "uh, yeah, we think these people might show up" And the price of entry is $30!?

They can say anything they want in their country if the law allows. We don't have to let anyone in here especially those who hate this country. Show us an example of a crazy nut job lefty saying something and getting in trouble. In the UK they arrest you for half of the stuff you posted just today

Wow. Steelers get the lesser DB IMO, but hey at least they secure their TE2 on a run heavy team...and then give him a one year $12M extension. Dolphins get back a player they traded years ago and open a huge hole at TE. Smith was really good in that offense last year and a great counter option to the speed of Hill and Waddle. I think this is the rare trade where BOTH teams lost.

UPDATE: ISRAEL v IRAN - Ceasefire reached?
sherpa replied to Big Blitz's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
By the way, I cannot stand quoting stupid posts that have giant X crap in them. Often, people ask a question of someone here in a post that contains that stuff, and in order to acknowledge the question and answer it, you have to include the X thing. There's probably a way around it, but i haven't the interest in figuring that out. Anyway, without another stupid Rolling Stone thing, here is the question asked of me in that post. "What source do you have about Iran rushing to finish its nukes?" Here's the answer to that question, without Rolling Stone trash https://emetonline.org/resource/iran-violations-since-jcpoa/ Go to the 2:50 mark until about 4:00, though the entire thing is very good. He also intimates at the end that they have an idea on location re fissile material. -
Will gambling ruin the NFL and sports in general?

This is a message board devoted to chatting about a football team. You don’t actually think that anything posted on here is intended to change anything, do you? Just keep smiling. It’ll all be okay. 😉
