But for people to do this based on Allen's playoff record versus Mahomes they would have to ignore the fact that Allen has been superb in those loses playing exceptionally well. Only someone with zero football knowledge would not recognize the massive disparity in playoff performances between Allen & Jackson. Last season Jackson's 2 bad TO's against the Bills cost them the game and back in the 2020 playoffs Jackson's 102 yard Pick 6 lost the Ravens that game. Then throw in Jackson's dismal 2023 Championship game performance against KC and IMO if the playoffs are factored in it is crazy to pick Jackson over Allen.

They changed the rules to make passing over the middle easier and FAR safer for one. They call more defensive holding penalties, spread offense concepts have been mixed in considerably more to create easier reads, offensive lines are more athletic to contribute in screen games, QBs are protected WAY more than in the past as well. A lot changed to make the net gain greater and net risk of a pass play far less than it was.

If your first two concerns occur, we won’t have to worry about Bass because we’ll need to score TD’s, not FG’s. Then it’s up to the DT’s to get pressure up the middle.. that’s the key for this Defense all season, imo. It’s why they drafted two pass rushers at DT to add to Oliver.
