  1. Past hour
  2. What would change your opinion in the regular season?
  3. You also compared Tyrell Shavers to a Hall of Fame WR after our last win. Now you're asking if we can go 5-0 down the stretch and comparing us to the 2023 Super Bowl Champion Chiefs. With all due respect, I think you let your feet leave the ground a little too high after a win. We just beat what is now a .500 Steelers team. And we did it running the same kind of one dimensional offense that lost us a game to a Backup QB led Texans team the week before. You asked a question, I gave an answer. Unless Dalton Kincaid comes back and stays healthy and Brandin Cooks turns back the clock and is able to create a passing game for us, it's the same story. If we win the line of scrimmage on offense through brute force, we're in good shape. But that's not going to happen every week. I don't have a crystal ball. It could be the Patriots. It could be the Broncos. That's not the point though. The point is that the makeup of this team is not built to win 4 games in a row against the best teams in the NFL playing at their best. As we've seen all season - relying solely on the run game and the run game alone is not sustainable. Regardless of what you think of other teams in the AFC, like the Patriots, there are multiple teams that are far less one dimensional. That can win through the air and on the ground.
  4. I don't feel anything for any other franchise considering what the Buffalo Bills have gone through for 65 years
  5. I don't know if there's an update but I heard that Sauce suffered a non-contact injury to his calf... that sometimes translates into achilles issues.
  6. Doubtful. Pittsburg is not some world beater. Don’t get me wrong. It was a great win that we needed but it’s just true. Neither their defense nor offense is great. They have some great players but not a great team on either side of the ball. I think we could if we get at least one tackle back and Kincaid back. It’s just that no game is a gimme except maybe the Jets, so i doubt it. Especially if we are one dimensional on offense.
  7. Not mentioned yet is that the Vikes also had Daniel Jones... but they chose curtain number 3. To those bagging on JJ, whether he played or not today isn't relevant. Many people have already seen enough and don't feel like they need to see him play again.
  8. The wisemen of TBD have pronounced the following players "washed" - and they all contributed to a big win last night: Taron Tre Benford Poyer Bosa Milano Ray Davis Gabe Davis Groot 88 Oh, and it's been a while since I've seen one of those "Why do we waste a roster spot on a FB?" posts
  9. An unbelievably bad game by that officiating crew. They need to be replaced. On the bright side, I think Denver is very overrated. I don't see them as SB worthy.
  10. Well, they are no favorites this year emerging from AFC. Daniel Jones "kinda" broke his leg. Colts were already slipping before this bad injury. Pretenders this year? Yep.
  11. Can "Eff. You. Psycho Mode Josh Alien" last through the rest of this season? We need that spirit.
  12. Ok, so devils advocate. Who is a championship team? New england beating up on 4th place teams?? The Chiefs who look like they wont even make the playoffs? Baltimore? 'Who do you consider THE championship team in the AFC this year?
  13. It was insane they didn’t try and keep Darnold IMO. I get it if someone out bids them, but they didn’t even try and banked on an unproven rookie coming off injury with no contingency.
  14. Well, not now. Geez, dude......
  15. It probably won’t be the chiefs if they only win 10 unless that one loss is against Tennessee which seems impossible 😂all their games remaining are afc and losing to the raiders pretty much blows the tiebreaker with lac even if they beat them in the rematch i feel like the worst thing possible for kc was Houston winning the last two but Indy knocking Jax back into the division race and I’ve got a feeling that’s gonna happen
  16. And Brian Billick liked Elvis Grbac and dumped his SB winning QB (Trent Dilfer) and never sniffed a Super Bowl again. * Interesting Elvis fact. He has brother named Engelbert. Guess his parents liked guys with pipes.
  17. 4th and 2 at the PIT 19, one minute left in the game, the score is 23-9. What does Sean do? Go for it and then kneel down if we convert? NO! He kicks the field goal and I win my fantasy playoff game by 2.58 points! I now think that Sean is the BEST COACH EVER!
  18. Is anyone in the AFC a " championship team"? We couldn't run vs Tampa and still won. Same vs Baltimore. I said before this team reminds me a lot of the 23 chiefs. I've heard KC fans say similar things.
  19. No one was specifically talking about him playing today. He was drafted to be their future, they let Darnold walk, and JJ hasn’t looked good at all. This thread is about Justin Jefferson and posters are discussing him possibly wanting out because JJ doesn’t look good. The conversations has nothing to do with today’s game, besides Jefferson’s lack of comment after today’s game being the spark for this conversation. You’ve really missed the mark if you think all of this conversation is about one game with a backup qb.
  20. Sure, why not, after all we’re the GD BUFFALO BILLS!!!
  21. Jim was definitely talking about a different kind of shot. He may have had a whole tray of them on the sideline!
  22. They did a great job, but if you ask Steeler nation, Watt has been washed for over 2 seasons. They still handled the rest of the steelers front 7 which is a tall order, especially given what we have to work with right now.
  23. My thoughts are the same as they've always been. The same as they were when I responded to you after the Bucs game. This is not a Championship team. The win was fun, as was the Bucs game. But it's the same story as it's always been all season. The same story I said after the Bucs game. If we can overcome teams keying in on trying to stop James Cook and through sheer will and skill force it to work regardless of that - we're in good shape. As we were today, as we were against teams like Tampa Bay and Carolina. But when we can't do that - we're f-cked. It's over. Doesn't matter who the team is. It could be the Falcons, Dolphins, or Jets. Stop the run and it's game over. And against the best teams, the Eagles and Patriots of the world - it's unlikely we're going to be able to do what we did today. So, no, I do not think we can win out.
  24. Jim Kelly said something similar IIRC, that he actually felt more dialed in after taking an initial shot in a game—of course, Kelly could also dish it out, was a tough sonofagun…
  25. No offense, but you don’t really leave any room for anyone else to get any credit when they do something by talking like this. He got open, he caught the ball. The thing you and everyone else says every day he can’t do. I don’t know what Coleman can be, but I know what he has been has not been good enough so far. So I’m not here to make excuses for him. But at the same time, it’s such a waste of energy to spend so much time trying to take away from him anything he does positive like you’re attempting to do here. It’s fine to still doubt him, not have confidence in him, etc. It’s another thing to go out of the way to discredit anything positive he does just to maintain that opinion. He made a big play in a big moment when this team really needed it. Just let the kid have that, why try and take that away, makes no sense. Let’s just hope he builds on it, hope Brady finds better ways to get him involved…because we will be a better football team if that happens. And who knows, maybe it’s more of the same issues moving forward that got him benched, if so, he probably won’t be on the team next year. But at least leave room for the kid to prove he has value to the team.
