Allen missed a wide open Knox on the final play
CincyBillsFan replied to ChronicAndKnuckles's topic in The Stadium Wall
To little to late. The defense tightened up in the Atlanta game to but again it was to little to late. That TD drive the Bills D gave up at the end of the half which cost Buffalo the lead was a perfect example of how this D is constantly allowing teams to flip game momentum on its head. -
Where's the "Maybe" option? I'm tired of being wrong.

Give us another L because thats the worst case scenario.

Just need ONE more defensive draft😒

They had a rookie LT blocking him. Another highly overpaid player on the defense. I’d seriously look into trading him. -
I saw it as well. And I agree it's likely but nothing is guaranteed until we clinch. I think we get in, but with how inconsistent this team has been I can see a world we don't. Which is crazy to me If we do get in, I think we will have as good a shot as anyone and I hope we go in 🔥

Greg Rousseau is the modern day Chris Kelsay. -
I went with yes, but I don’t think we’ll get too far sadly. It’s going to take a helluva offseason to give me more optimism for next year.

Do people really believe in the Patriots that much? I think they're dropping at least 2 more games. Same goes for Denver. I could see Buffalo ending up at 11-6. Maybe even 10-7 and ending up as the 7 seed. Say what you want about McDermott, but I don't think a McDermott coached team with Allen at the helm goes any worse than 3-3 to end this season. When I think about matchups in the playoffs, I'd almost rather the Bills end up as the 7 seed. That said, I could also see them at 12-5 or even winning out and getting to 13-4. Buffalo loves to rise and fall to their level of competition. They can beat anyone. They can lose to anyone. Anyone who definitively says anything about this team at this point doesn't really have a clue.... outside of making the playoffs. The Bills are making the playoffs. -

Josh Allen was also Undefeated on Thursdays. Streaks are broken all the time -
AFC is wide open and we have head to head over the ravens. Still feel we limp in but go nowhere

The common thread is that they all signed their deals in summer after preparing all offseason like this was their walk year. The hay was in the barn. The following year when the extension began Oliver's play dropped off dramatically and he will barely play at all this season. So far his extension has been a large financial failure. I suspect the Cook extension won't end well either. It begins next season. People act like this year was the beginning. 'Twas not. Spencer has been the good extension. Hopefully he can return soon after this shoulder setback. -
This is a nice reworking and new FO. In terms of players, see notes in bold Might be able to trade McD to the Giants or someone for a 1st. It sounds crazy to Bills fans, but I think the Bears were offering a 1st for Tomlin. Then sell Pegs on the upside performance wise of a new HC and a 1st, as well as the excitement it would bring for a new stadium. It's funny because in Pittsburgh people are over Tomlin and his early playoff exits. Wonder if we could just trade McD for Tomlin. Tomlin would also hire a real OC.

This board is so hive minded. You rarely get people who can form their own actual opinion instead of regurgitating what the media & other posters say. Honestly thinking of taking a break. It’s too much. -

Allen's extreme talent, when fully on display, enables the Bills offensive performance to occasionally significantly exceed its talent and tactical capabilities. Allen is just that good. And while we say the receivers "suck" this is not true. They are NFL WR's and thus better then 99% of the football players on the planet. But in a game of inches where 2 or 3 elite level catches can change the course of a game the Bills receivers are not good by NFL standards and at the bottom of any realistic assessment of a an NFL WR group. When Allen is on, he makes these average to below average WR's look good. But this is not sustainable because you almost never see the WR's making those difficult NFL type catches that make their QB look good when he's having an off game. -

Things change. Or they don’t. Besides, @4th&long said THE TIME IS COMING! Sure, it was several cycles ago, he missed badly and on reflection his prediction was dirt dumb and dialed out, but he did say it. -
Be careful. The hive will start swarming when you criticize he who must not be named.

We'll really have to see where we stand injury wise next week. The 10 days is coming at a very good time. It really doesn't seem like most of the injuries are long-term. Some of the predictions on here are pretty gloomy and seem more based on day-after pessimism than on reality. We could collapse, for sure - but we haven't yet in the Allen era, and I don't think we will this year. We're consistently a good December team. I just expect that to continue. I think we're beating Pitt, NE, Cleveland and NY, and probably the Bengals. If I'm wrong and we drop another 3 or 4, this is a genuinely bad team and we are in major trouble.
