Miyagi-Do Karate
Some of the check downs were pretty funny; the whole Miami defense was sitting waiting for the pass to the RB, and then just exploded on the poor guy (Jackson and Lynch at least twice each got blown up). By the way, I miss seeing the middle of the field; I forget what that looks like.

Also, on one of the long passes to TO, you can actually see him begin his throwing motion to Marshawn for ANOTHER F#CKING checkdown before Marshawn takes on a tackler and he has to throw it downfield. We're stuck for now, but time to keep looking in the offseason. How can anyone know with the revolving door of an o-line??? When the line was healthy he played well. Blame the front office for not signing any vets when Butler went down. I am not sold on him yet as the real deal or a bust. Only can hope he turns it around as the line gets better. If not kiss the playoffs good bye for another three years while Colt McCoy learns the NFL is alot harder than the Big 12.

benderbender
I wonder just who TE would throw to if they were to line up in 5 wr set. No one to check down to. Probably woud still throw to a RB standing on the freaking SIDELINE!

By the way, I miss seeing the middle of the field; I forget what that looks like. I know exactly what you mean. But the thing is, just watch literally every other offense save the Redskins and you'll get plenty of the middle of the field. I'm constantly asking myself, "Why can't the Bills do that?" It's like the coaches have trained TE that the middle of the field is a INT waiting to happen. WTF. why is the middle of the field so damn scary for TE? 5 Wide
The Saints game finished any hope I had for trent. 4th and 18 or 22 or whatever it was, and he threw a checkdown to Jackson. 4th and VERY LONG and he still threw a checkdown. Ray
This is a QB driven league and for the 13th year in a row since JK retired we are going to need to go search yet again....I can not stand it anymore. We can "blame" the coaches all we want but when it comes down to it just ask yourself what our record would be if we had Brady, Favre, Rothlisberger, Favre etc...we would likely be 4-0 and it's b/c of QB play. The coaches don't throw the ball the plays need to be made and you need a playmaker at that position. He just is not good enough....he'll probably be a decent backup QB in the NFL for a decade or so but it looks like he is not a starter in this league....I really was hoping he would be the one but from everything I've seen this year it looks like he's not....just putrid today and it is just not today it is the last about 10-12 games he has played. BB-Gun
I'm not sold on Trent Edwards. I become less confident in him each week. But, who the hell would be good when you have no pass blocking. Almost every time Edwards dropped back, he was hit in 3-4 seconds. I started paying closer attention after the 1st quarter, because I wanted to see if it was only Edwards making bad decisions. He was making poor decicions many times, but most of it was the pressure. I don't know of any qb's that can do well with 2 or 3 pass rushers in his face as soon as he finished his 3 or 5 step drop. Neither tackles were very effective. They were only there to escort the defenders into Edwards. TO was going pretty slow out of his cuts and was not doing enough to get separation. Also, TO kept dropping his passes. I think they need to stop playing with an empty backfield. Give him a RB to stay and block for him. Stop trying to appease TO. Start throwing to Evans and Reed. I'm not sure Edwards is the answer, but he needs some blocking before we can decide if he should be run out of here.

Same old Story
I got a great deal on an authentic Bills jersey so I decided to put an order in for a TE's jersey. Well, I just told him to cancel the order after his pick 6. I've been a TE guy, you can ask all my friends but after some throws he made today I'm done as well. He's gotta do something AMAZING to prove otherwise.

The defense KNEW Trent would not throw the ball DOWNFIELD. With that knowledge they were able to concentrate the defense to about a 15 yard area & stack it.
