  1. If Luck is not there I would not take Mallet or Locker. I would trade for or sign a veteran FA QB. 1. DE 2. RT 3. TE 4. C/G 5. ILB 6. WR 7. RT My god there are so many holes on this team.
  2. You need to be raised correctly to know killing a dog is wrong? He is evil to his core. Now that he has some of his money back how long do you think it is before he is caught doing the same thing? The only person worse is his POS no talent brother.
  3. Since there is no real #2 now he would have had a shot. In fact since Nelson, Johnson, and Jones would not make most NFL rosters he could have easily won the #2 spot(although historically rookie WR's do worse than even rookie QB's). The Stevie Johnson fan club has all but dried up. I have been of the opinion that Roscoe should get most of the reps at #2 but that comes with it's set of problems as well. Personally I would line him up on the line of scrimmage and dare the CB to man up on him. With his quickness and shiftiness I would think he has a chance to break free more often than get handcuffed at the LOS. Also since he isn't so much a burner or long strider starting him behind the LOS doesn't really help much IMO.
  4. First of all unless he improves dramatically I dopubt he comes out after his junior year. I just don't see him being a first round guy. That being said I can't believe Vince Young was taken in the first round. Pryor may throw a bit better than Young and has had better coaching. I don't think he is as much of a "gamer" as Young was and perhaps still is to some degree. I can't quantify that but Young seemed to carry Texas on his back. Pryor is doing well at OSU but in all honesty it is the defense that produces short fields for Pryor to work with that allows him to succeed.
  5. After we lose to the Jets in some gut wrenching fashion the Bills will be 0-4. There is no doubt this team is horrible. However I would argue even the best teams in the league would go 2-2 against the teams they will have faced. As many have said the team may be no worse than last year but have a much worse record than last year due to the schedule. I would be encouraged if the Bills move the ball against the Jets D, don't get run over on defense, all the while keeping Dustin Keller under 200 yards receiving while being covered by the likes of Kelsay, Maybin, and Whitner.
  6. The Bills would be stupid not to listen to any offer for any player on this team. If some team wants to make a dumb trade that helps the Bills in the long run then go ahead and make the move. I would argue there is not a single player including Spiller who could not be moved for the right price.
  7. How about just about any WR, LB, or RT??? They could have added Brown to the PS if they wanted a third arm to run the scout team. Why does this team need three QB's? Isn't Brohm bad enough to need developing? They need massive upgrades at multiple other positions. Take a flyer on a WR or RT sitting on someone's PS that you may have like before the draft. If one of the QB's gets hurt Brown would have still been there to sign at a later date. PS Shouldn't it be a clue that no other team wanted him for even their practice squads either? In Buffalo that apparently is a prerequisite to making the team as a QB... ie. see Brian Brohm's resume to date...
  8. I m !@#$in done. What bs. They can't find one other god dam player better than levi !@#$in brown to help this team????? Total bush league. The NFL should seize control of this franchise. Seriously any other corp would have a vote of no confidence and put the corp in a third party's control. Let me know what happens with the draft.
  9. How many plays did Williams play though? Against the spread formations I believe they move to a 4 man line with Stroud at DT and take Williams out. New England played most of the game in Shotgun and multiple WR sets. The Bills played a 4-2 defense the majority of the time.
  10. Why does he deserve a shot? Because he played well his junior year in college? I think Fitz is garbage and wouldn't mind seeing Brohm play but I have no expectaiton he will be anything better than Fitz/Edwards. Draft two QB's next year.
  11. Just move forward with two QB's. Use the open roster spot to trade for a draft pick for a player or sign a RT or WR from someone's PS.
  12. Buddy please do not use this on Levi Brown or any other POS QB. Please trade a draft pick for a RT, WR, or LB. Those are all areas where upgrades are needed. Feel free to throw in Maybin, Whitner, Jackson, McCargo or Kelsay as fillers as well. Make something happen. I know it is not the norm to trade players during the season in the NFL but it can be done. I remember a certain LB traded during the season made quite an impact on our defense in the late 80's.
  13. They all stay. Trade Whitner and let Wilson and Scott play Safety with Byrd. Jackson has no value except to the Bills.
  14. If you wathced the game the most effective runs came out of the spread formation when the Bills had only 2 LB's on the field and one of them was Ellison. In the irony of all ironies Belichick ran then ball against our nickel and dime coverage units just like Buffalo should have done against his Giants defense. Football really is not that difficult. Can RW hire any worse personnel o run the franchise????????
  15. An intelligent post! Isn't it just easier to complain about **** though....
  16. McNeil wants LT money, ahh lets's see why..... Oh because he is a LT not a RT. They wouldn't pay Peters. Why would they pay McNeil????
  17. Mallett fluincked today's test at home against a very good defense. Unless he stinks it up the rest of the year he will be a top 15 pick assuming there are teams that need/want a QB that high in the draft. I would envision Buffalo and Cleveland being at least two teams wanting a QB. The Bills need offensive lineman and LB's while Cleveland needs defensive lineman and WR's. I would guess Oakland, Seattle(although they gave up a bunch for Whitehurst), Minnesota, and Arizona might be in the market for a QB in the first round as well.
  18. Ask Brian Brohm how staying in school worked out for his draft status??? Luck would be insane not to come out if he projects #1 overall. Plus his coach is a very hot commodity and there is no guarantee Harbaugh will be back with Stanford in 2011. Only way Luck doesn't come out for the draft is if there isn't a draft due to a lockout.
  19. Agreed. Ask any team. No team wants the first overall pick and the salary/signing bonus that goes with it. They would all trade down if they could. If Luck does not come out I am sure the Bills want no part of the first overall pick.
  20. Fair enough. But past failure does not predict future performance. How much do you think the fact Mike Williams was a bust from Texas led to the team not taking an OT high or taking Maybin(Penn St.) over Orakpo(Texas)? The QB and OT situation need to be addressed. Based on what? Newsflash... The Bills have already been surpassed by Detroit, lost to Cleveland two years in a row, and Oakland (assume that is what you meant by LA) has much more talent. The Bills are the laughing stock. Even St. Louis has a new QB to gush about. The only team that will be laughed at more will be the NY Jets as I predict the wheels will start coming off real soon.
  21. What have you been reading? Upshaw was almost ousted for being too close and friendly with Goodell. If he had lived it was almost certain he was going to be voted out of his job.
  22. Isn't that what I said? I am not an anti-trust lawyer but I would suspect that they can't declare an impasse if there is no union to negotiate with. There also is a very very good reaosn why there will be no games. In the last TV deal the owners get paid in 2011 whether there are games or not. Fat bastard Peter King has written about this quite a bit. Therefore there is no reason to play any games and risk losing money when the TV money is guaranteed. This is a huge issue for the union and players. They will argue the owners are not negotiating in good faith because they get TV money even if there are no games and they will argue the owners planned a lockout all along. I hope both sides come to their collective senses and make a good deal that won't kill the golden goose. The deal will need a rookie wage scale, 18 games, a salary cap, and decent revenue sharing if the Bills are going to survive.
  23. Johnson is horrible. My guess is everyone who wanted him to get his shot also want Brohm to get his shot and stille Believe Stupar belongs in the NFL. They all are terrible and wouldn't make any other team in the NFL.
