  1. My head says Bruce but my favorite was always Thurman. OJ had more raw talent than Thurman but Thurman could just be devestating at times with the run/catch combo threat.
  2. He definately said "appalled". For a moment I thought he was going to say something about how he was 90 and still in good health and these people in wheelchairs with oxygen should have exercised more. The whole time of course you can see a guy in a wheelchair about 8 rows from the front and I think Bruce's mom wearing xygen. I think he meant amazed but man I was really really scared there for a moment.
  3. Yeah it is always wise to give up on a young two time Pro Bowl LT for a first round center moving to guard. You people are are morons. I don't see Trent surviving the first game with Walker and Butler at the tackle positions.
  4. Interesting Why so many QB's. There are many more far better players at other positions. You have 1 LB, no DT's, no center, one safety, one tackle(Mathews mostly played guard) I would argue that the following players are better at their position in their era than most of the QB's on your list and make up a better balanced team, IMHO. C Dwight Stephenson DT Randy White/Joe Greene T Antony Munoz/ Art Shell/Walter Jones ILB Singletary/Ray Lewis/Jack Lambert/Dick Butkus OLB Derrick Thomas/Jack Ham S Need help with this position
  5. It is a sad day when as fans we are thanking God for a 7th round draft pick coming back to practice....
  6. Currently Ellis is on the third team defense w/o Maybin in camp. My bet is he doesn't even make the team. McCargo is the key though. If he does develop it would be a nice DT rotation. DT is a position of late bloomers so it is not impossible for him to get better over time. One of the few good moves the FO has made was to trade for Stroud instead of drafting another DT.
  7. How can you tell? Both have had incompetent coaching staffs.
  8. There was no consensus which player was better. Everyone thought it was a good draft pick for the Bills and really no one to this day faults them for the pick. Mckinnie(sp?) had character issues and in fact didn't even sign a contract until after the season started. He has been a serviceable LT in the same way Robert Gallery has been ok at guard for the Raiders. He is not in the class of Joe Thomas (Browns) or Jake Long(Dolphins).
  9. Andre Johnson 8 TD, Larry Fitzgeral 12 TD, Calvin Johnson 12 TD In one year not 8 years !!!!!!! Just stop. He is not good. Stop settling. We deserve better players.
  10. It is a sad day when most of the posts defending this guy are about his downfield blocking.... Laughable.... Reed has been a bust plain and simple. If he was our best reciever last year then what does that say about our team. Do you all realize he has 9 career TD's in 8 seasons?
  11. Baltimore may be desperate and the Bills don't need him. A LB or a draft pick would be a good deal. Good organizations take advantage of others at times like this. If they like Steve Johnson as much as they say they do, then there is no room for one of the following - Parrish, Reed, or Hardy. Parrish brings return ability and is more explosive after the catch. It is to soon to give up on Hardy and he has no trade value. The TE may also be a viable target this year. I like Reed but he is overpaid and may be no better than the fourth best WR on the team. Please don't post how they can keep 6 WR's. Yes they can, but the diluted playing time is a poor use of a roster spot. Pardon one disclaimer - If Hardy can't contribute at all this year it would have to be a really good trade to move Reed.
  12. I wasn't rewriting history. But if you would like to defend the FO's performance over the last decade I sure would like to read it. Tell me all about the great draft picks they have had and all the shrewd moves they have made. I need a good laugh. The organization is KNOWN to be one level above the Raiders.
  13. I think everone know the agents are involved. Amazing how the other 31 teams draft picks also have agents as well and they can get their players into camp. This would be a non-issue if they were not completely overhauling the offensive line with the plan these guys are going to start. Maybin is the only guy you can forgive the FO for not being signed. Another example how this frachise is just not competitive.
  14. Honestly I could care less when Maybin shows up. He is going to be a situational pass rusher at best the whole year. It won't take long to learn "go get the QB". What is ridiculous is the fact that at least one and perhaps as may as all three of the other unsigned draftess may be starters and they are not in camp yet. Honestly who gives a cr$P about TO if we have no o-line.
  15. I do not disagree with these moves. However, doesn't anyone find it disconcerting that the Bills talked to Walker and Butler AFTER the draft to see if they would be ok with these moves? What if Walker said I can't play LT or didn't want to make the switch? Holding my breath these OL moves will work out.....
  16. He writes Levi Jones is 9 time Pro Bowl Left tackle. He hasn't even been in the league 9 years and I am not sure he has ever been to the Pro Bowl. Does anyone read his crap. He uses a new paragraph for every sentence. He praises the Bills for trading Peters and there draft yet worries about no LT. How can you praise both the trade and the draft when one gives away the LT we no don't have and one does not bring the LT we need. Buffalo sports fans deserve better than this clown. More Carrucci. More cow bell.......
  17. You are a moron. If the 2008 draft was so great they would not have had to sign Terrel Owens because they took Hardy instead of Eddie Royal, draft another DE because Chris Ellis is a bust, draft another TE who can go downfield becasue Fine can't, and draft three more corners because they let Jabari Greer go and Mcelvin couldn't crack the starting line-up until he was injured. We still have no LT. We have 5-6 people to play 3 interior line spots. That will be great at the goal line but with Trent Edwards constantly flat on his back from yet another blind-side we won't even get close to the goal line. And please answer me why we can't draft a LB who actually looks and plays like a LB? If approx. 70% of the drafted guys pan out that will give Brandon his second successful draft in a row pending some injured guys to show us what they've got. A lot of people loved his draft last year too. They got McKelvin, Hardy, Ellis, Fine, Corner, Bell, Johnson and Omon to stick on the 53 man roster last year. The jury is out on Bowen. That's 8 out of 10 picks with one pick who was injured in TC so he at least batted 80% last year in his draft to improve the team. He also traded for Marcus Stroud and got rid of the on field and in the locker room cancer JP. He signed TO, Dominic Rhodes, Hangartner and Ryan Fitzpatrick in the offseason. What's left open now is an OLB and LT. The OLB may have been addressed during the draft and the LT who's a solid starter may already be on the roster. Overall I think he's done a B+ job since taking over last year. JMO What's your opinion?
  18. This would be a wet dream. Mack is an option at 28 and will be long gone by 42 though.... Alas it will be an OT at 11 and there will be nor DE help in this draft. Better hope Chris Ellis decides to show up this year....
  19. Every team in the league is handling its business with professionalism except the Cardinals with the treatment of Boldin. We have no left tackle or left guard nor a running back for the first three games. How do you justify paying Terrel Owens and not Jason Peters and Fred Jackson? We must be the laughing stock of the league. Our GM is better suited to work for Target than an NFL team. Our owner likely is mildly demented. Our coach may or may not be in charge of personnel. Our QB can't throw in the wind. Our schedule is absolutely brutal. I challenge all to give me a reason for hope...
  20. Very well thought out post. This is a great draft for centers and if we don't tkae one in round 2 or 3 it will be a total waste. I say trade down from 11 where either Stafford or Sanchez will be available and pick the best available DE or LB later in the first round. If you pick up an extra third then you can get another guard or tight end. PS They should sign Yabouty to a two year extension and frickin pay Peters!!! They trade him and they are dea to me.....
