Ko Simpson played a ton last night.

Let's see.... How many former starter's get arrested in the off-season, play into the fourth quarter of a pre-season game, and get beat by the third stringers for TD go on to make the final roster??? The only thing that saves him is an injury to Scott or the horrible play of Wendling.... -
He actually looks like an NFL TE. None of our other TE's even look the part. Lets hope by week 8 he is starting. Unfortunately he has little NFL style offense experience. Let's hope he learns quickly. Could you imagine the room he will have to operate in the middle of the field with TO and Evans on the outside.
-
Agreed. He looked good enough to avid being let go. I think he makes the team and is given a chance to develop. When Maybin finally signs, and he will, Ellis probably gets more first ans second down snaps as a reserve while Maybin gets the third down snaps with the first team.
-
Agreed. I also have to say Ellis actually looked like an NFL DE tonight.

Don't leave the Bills out of that battle...

I know but defending trading away a two time ProBowl is ridiculous -

Player I miss the most: Jay Cutler and all the other draft picks we have traded away/wasted Player I miss the least: Any free agent or draft pick of Marv Levy -

Do you think the fat turd Langston Walker will be a top ten LT??? Fantasy land must be a nice place to live.... -
If you were a fan of any other team you would be laughing your ass off at our FO. Remove the blinders. Orakpo (#13)was signed July 30th and Moreno Aug7th(#12). With the exception of Cincinnati name another organization that would bring back a coach with three consecutive losing years. That being said I don't even think Cincinnati would trade a Pro-Bowl LT and go into a season with 5 new positions on the OL. Here's to 3-13!!!
-
Two more draft picks signed both drafted before Maybin. The FO is a disgrace....

Doomsday outcome for the season.

What Bills would start on a contending team?

If Mike Vrabel could start for all thos Pat's teams what do you think Belichik would have done with Schobel? In the Pat's scheme at OLB he probably would get 12-14 sacks a year. -

Perfect answer. Just imagine if you replaced Ellison with a Demarcus Ware/ Shawn Merriman type LB and added James Whitten at TE. Two huge upgrades at our worst postions and then we become a potentially dangerous team. The margin between Detroit and New England is much closer than say the margin between USC and Tulane. -
Exactly. He is not happy and he did say it. The frickin worst part is the FO never even asked him about it before the draft. It is ridiculous. How would anyone like their job description changed in whatever company they work for? Better yet what if the marketing guy was asked to move to shipping? LT is not the same as RT. He was servicable at RT maybe even above average. The best we can hope is that he doesn't suck at LT. Don't you honestly think they believe Bell is going to be another Jason Peters?

What if TE does like MNF Cleveland?

First let me call my 6th grade English teacher and ask her to translate the title of this topic. With Trent we have a little hope. Without him we have no hope. In fact, I doubt Brett Favre circa 2001 could get this team to the playoffs and you can be assured this OL would break his consecutive start string. You tell me what team can overcome Marv Levy running a draft, Dick Jauron as head coach, and a completely retooled OL. -
Great post I agree with your comments about Wendling. If it comes down to a numbers game with the corners and safeties I hope we keep Florence and Youbouty over Wendling. I would keep an extra tight end or a WR over any FB. McIntyre rarely saw the field last year. With the exception of the Charger's can anyone name another potent offene that still uses the FB??? I would much rather see Parrish or Reed on the field in a 3 or 4 WR set than two TE and FB. We still couln't run the ball last year in a two TE set. Give me more cow bell and more wideouts!!!!!

And a contract extension after next year...lol

Tony Dungy is right- give VICK a chance

Do you think all the repeat offenders out there wanted to go back to prison? As posted above this guy is a special piece of s&*t. While I agree he probably would be better than our current back-up QB situation there is no way Ralph is bring that heat to Buffalo. Leopards don't chnage their spots and dog killers only graduate up to worse offenses. -
Every year there are surprise cuts made. Based on the fact he was playing late into this game and he did nothing meaningful in the game, I more than ever think Chris Ellis is going to get cut. I am not even sure he is going to make it past the first cut. If there is an unsigned veteran out there I would not be surprised if he gets signed this week by the Bills and Eliis is let go. Omon is probably the next most likely not to make it. Lynch's suspension may be the only thing that saves him for three weeks. Your thoughts? Your likely candidates?

Does anyone really believe that someone who can run a dog fighting ring actually can change? He is only saying and doing the right things so he can make money. He will not change. Do rapists change? He would still be running the ring if he had not been caught. Yes he deserves another chance at life but don't be surprised when he is caught again. Chances are his brother ran the ring during the last two years.
