The Bills could have paid Peters twice what he asked if they hadn't wasted money. If they cut Walker and Dockery right after the season it is easy to afford whatever Peters wanted. Holy sh*t.... This can't be happening. Our ProBowl LT is gone and we have Karl Malone at LT....

Not all that strange. Hopefully he turns into a Terrell Suggs clone. Part OLB part DE. Perhaps he is the key to in-game swithces from a 4-3 to 3-4. Spencer Johnson oddly may be the other key as he has the size to play a 3-4. Could you imagine a line of Denney, Stroud, Johnson with Maybin, Mitchell, Poz, and Schobel at LB's. I am not saying that is a great or even wise but it would be a way to switch back and forth as DJ has hinted at.

Did you catch the little "more attacking" comment he made during the press conference? Maybe he does want to take more risks and force the ball to TO and Evans. Maybe a more simple offense means chucking it down field on slants, posts, and fly patterns as opposed to multiple formations that all end up in 6 yard curls or dump offs to the RB's.

I'll be honest. I didn't think Ryan was going to be this good. He threw a lot of INT's in college. Nobody knew anything about Flacco unless you had the misfortune to live in Delaware. Also to my point I know Ryan played in a pro-style offense and I believe Flacco did as well(correct me if I am mistaken), they were not spread option QB's.

Why does everyone think Ralph initiated the firing? The newspaper guys are even wrinting it. I know DJ hardly ever has an original idea or a spine, but Turk's own comments pretty much prove it was DJ. Do you honestly think Ralph was the guy telling him to simplify the offense and "was on his back all offseason"? If it had been Ralph why attack DJ after getting canned? It makes no sense to attack him in the media if you want another job in the NFL. He let his emotions and highly likely the truth as he saw it come out.

Don't mind being jumped on. Interesting though that the QB's you picked further my point. Kelly, Elway, Marino, Manning all ran pro-style offenses. I will concede I don't know how much option Montana ran at ND and I have no clue about Bradshaw's college career. Tebow and Bradford and to some extent McCoy run the spread option. I don't see any teams running that offense in the NFL. Lastly, I wouldn't take a QB high in the draft. The washout rate is too high. I would be scouting a dominant OLB like Demarcus Ware unless they move Maybin to OLB in which case it is DE drafting time again.

Call me stupid if you want but the biggest game is the Tampa game. The Bills can lose and look respectable against NE but if they lose their home opener with a poor offensive performance it is doomsday for the rest of the season. I realize if is early and a non-conference game but it is almost a must win given the schedule and the current state of the coaching staff.

DJ said Trent has already begun preparations for NE BEFORE the Detroit game. My hunch is Turk's game plan for the NE game was discussed, DJ felt it was crap, and wanted changes to which Turk probably argued against. DJ then likely had/seen enough.

He doesn't have a clue any more than the rest of us do if Edwards will succeed. Honestly would anyone want Tebow or Bradford? McCoy may be an NFL QB. The other two are very very good college QB's and that is all they will ever be.
