  1. And how many do you think Walker will give up in the first half against NE? I say first half as I predict we will be losing 28-0 and Bell starts the second half at LT.
  2. How can anyone make a judgment on Trent Edwards? The Bills just fired their OC. The o-line is in disarray. Even if the coaches were mediocre it would likely be hard for them, let alone the lay public, to know if Trent was any good or not. I could care less what Bill Walsh said. Isn't it equally plausible that a guy from Stanford has a better grasp of offense strategy than the career back-up QB turned OC trying to run an offense from the 1980's.
  3. Do you really think it makes a difference if Stupar or Fine were on the active team? Do you really think either is a differnce maker in any manner? TE position productivity will only be as good as Nelson can make it. The rest of them are marginal NFL players. Nelson may never develop but at least he has NFL size and speed.
  4. They need to keep 7 because after they start 1-4 they can shop TO to Minnesota or Chicago
  5. Anybody know if Bowen is a possibility at practice squad since he didn't dress last year?
  6. Josh Reed is cut and they keep Jenkins Kelsay is gone as well
  7. DJ isn't even in the same conversation as Wade as a defensive coordinator. Wade is not as good as Lebeau but he is probably just as good as Kiffin and Rex Ryan. He is not a very good HC but even there he is much better than DJ - even without a headset. The fans and media got on this guy for not wearing a head set. I'd take a bald headed nasty melanoma staring back at me headcoach with no headset that makes the playoffs over DJ anyday!
  8. Portland OR - flew in for the win over the Raiders last year and flew to Kansas City to see the Bills put the smack down on the Chiefs at Arrow Head. FYI the food at Arrow Head is freaking awesome
  9. Maybe I should have written "fixed" as I was being facetious. I am not advocating Byrd start now but that he moves into the role if he shows he can make plays. Simpson and Whitner played thier rookie years. I also would amend "cut" to "bench" as it is correct Ellison should be good at ST's. I would still cut Kelsay, save the money, and use it to bring in Levi Jones. Bryan has outplayed him so far. Denney is better against the run.
  10. 1. Cut Kelsay and Ellison 2. Denney plays DE in the base 4-3 while Maybin lines up at OLB. 3. Maybin plays mostly weak side OLB but randomly switches sides with Mitchell 3. Maybin shifts to DE in the nickel and dime packages. 4. Hope Byrd can become a playmaker at FS and move Whitner back to SS - not sure this is an upgrade at SS but I am not convinved Whinter is a playmaker at FS. 5. Abandon the no-huddle so the defense is not rushed back on the field.
  11. 1. Cut Josh Reed 2. Build a time machine and not trade Jason Peters 3. Cut Keith Ellison 4. Start Maybin at OLB, get turn-overs, and good field position.
  12. But he held out for an appropriate contract. He is not a true Buffalo Bill. We should cut him before goes to the Pro Bowl and decides not to show up for training camp and he turns into Jason Peters
  13. If memory serves TO did just fine in the Philadelphia weather(although I agree with the post above that Buffalo weather aint what it used to be). Judge is a blowhard that never gets his facts straight. Prisco's reports are much better.
  14. Except when the Bills refuse to pay him and he is traded away.....
  15. The idea the Bills still don't have the LT position figured out was ridiculed by ESPN today. The Bills have a 90 year old HOF owner who is "apalled" by people in wheel chairs and a GM who is better suited for an episode of "Mad Men". I think the Raiders have competition for lauging stock of the league status.
  16. Sophie's Choice Remember he had to choose between a return to head coaching for an almost 90 year old owner and an almost 80 year old GM or possibly continue with the Lions.... Sophie probably had an easier choice
  17. He's on the PUP to perform list. If they don't place him on IR, I believe they can activate him sometime between week 6-10(don't quote me on that). Even that would be a long shot for his ACL recovery. Last I heart he was still only running straight without cutting. If they decide to keep Jenkins, Parrish, and Johnson then there is a good chance Hardy goes to IR and is lost for the year. If they cut Jenkins then they probably keep him on PUP list and activate him later in the season. By then either TO will have been suspended by the team which would make room for him or they will have to make a roster spot by cutting a TE in order to carry 6 WR's.
  18. I told you... 1. The Jason Peters trade will be one of the worst in the last decade 2. Trent is just good enough to blame the lost seaon on the o-line thus avoiding the need to draft a QB with the second overall pick in the draft. 3. After starting 1-5, TO is traded to Minnesota 4. DJ is fired immeditaley after the seaon 5. Realizing his demise is imminent Ralph turns over control to Shanahan or better yet Gruden
  19. Jesus they can't even get the right equipment..... Maybe the lady at Payless can be the next equipment mananger
  20. I fail to understand why starting a discussion of the dismantinling of our entire offensive line makes me an idiot. Dismantling means taking it apart in case you don't understand big words. So writing plainly and in a simple format you can follow, the Bills are going into the season with an O-line with 5 players that are new to the league and/or their position including two rookies playing positions they never played before save (that means except) the Senior Bowl. This chain of events has occured due to the unwillingness of the FO to pay our two time ProBowl LT the market rate. The market rate for you is likely the federally mandated minimum wage, but since Peters had unique skills he wanted to be compensated (paid) at the same rate as other elite LT's. Obviously at least one other team in the NFL felt he was an elite LT and have agreed to compensate him fairly. If you can find me another example of a team starting the season with this many changes to the O-line and making the playoffs I would love to know about it.
  21. I don't think you want to bring up IVY leaguers and their football IQ at this time.... DJ was an IVY leaguer and still can't figure out how or when to call time out
  22. The srcub before Butler is your starting Left Tackle.
