Steely Dan
http://www.rotoworld.com/content/Home_NFL.aspx I hope we can make the move before they do. Your linky no worky so here's the blurb. Tony Scheffler-TE- Broncos Apr. 25 - 2:59 am et The Eagles phoned the Broncos about Tony Scheffler's availability recently. Philadelphia lost out to Atlanta for Tony Gonzalez, but could add more speed and youth with Scheffler, who has experience in a West Coast style offense like Andy Reid's. The Denver Post says the Broncos won't trade Scheffler unless they're offered a first-round pick. We're confident he can be had for at a second- or third-rounder, though. Josh McDaniels' offense uses TEs little, Scheffler's in a contract year, and he's been on the trade block for months. Source: Denver Post Related: Eagles IMO, the only reason the bEagles are interested in Scheffler is because they have no chance at Pettigrew. They want a 1st for him ? ;-)))))))))))))) Even a second i much to high. They could be happy if they could get a 3rd for him. But his shows again the hot interest from the Eagles for a TE. They would 100 % take Pettigrew if he is at 21. No way he falls to 28.

BillsGuyInMalta
I hope Parrish and 28 would get it done. I'm not sure it would NYC, I dont think the rest of the NFL values Parrish nearly as much as we do. Not sure if its anything really of note, but the Bills could trade with Tampa Bay (#19) for exactly the same trade chart value if they give up their 28 pick and their third rounder. That would pretty much guarantee Pettigrew.

michaelfromgermany
there are going to be a lot of trades today. Should be very interesting The more i think i like the idea of taking Clay Matthews from USC. I have seen the only loss from USC this year (i think it was against Oregon State) and Matthews was a monster. By far the best defender from USC. Nr. 47 from the Trojan was always make pressure to the QB und was in on many tackles. We can also take a TE in the 2nd round. Ups...sorry....it was off-topc.....but i saw your picture there ;-)
ganesh
I hope we can make the move before they do. Rotoworld Link I think this will somehow be linked with a Roscoe Parrish trade. Either we use the pick from the RP trade to acquire schefler or do a direct swap with Denver.

zazie
Do you honestly think the Bills didnt TRY to get the #21 pick? The fact is Brandon is a horrible exec the Ralph has promotd because of attrition and apathy. He cam to the organization as a glorified intern out of a community college, how can we expect negotiation skills? He could not hone them with the bills, and, he has only been with the bills. He better hope to keep this job because, I don't see other organizations chomping at the bit.

I wouldn't want to even a trade a third rounder for him. In the AFC East we need physical players that can block and play smash mouth football. This is realy a play- and differencemaker. I hope the Pats will NOT get him. Not necessarily on both accounts. He very well might slip to #28. There is a ton of posturing going on here, and teams in front of us have needs to fill too. Atlanta just traded a second round pick for Gonzo, I think trading up with them in the first wouldn't be out of the question for Pettigrew so that Baltimore doesn't get him. It could only take a 3rd rounder next year to do it too. Just food for thought...

Pettigrew will go 18 to 20, possibly in a trade up. Won't be avail at 21 or 28. Plenty of other TE's available later in the draft that can make an impact. He better hope to keep this job because, I don't see other organizations chomping at the bit. Russ may or may not turn out to be a good GM (or whatever his title is) but he has more experience than you give him credit for (even if it was in baseball first). "Brandon joined the Bills in November of 1997 as Executive Director of Business Development and Marketing after earning a World Series ring as a member of the Florida Marlins front office. He began his sports business career as a member of the Rochester Red Wings (Triple A affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles) serving in many capacities, including assistant general manager." He also played four years of college football, even if it was for lowly St. John Fisher... You could say he stinks because his experience was in baseball or marketing...but he was more than just a glorified intern from a community college. John from Riverside
Do you honestly think the Bills didnt TRY to get the #21 pick? Malta why dont people understand this? I am quite sure the bills TRIED to get both 1st rounders for Peters......this was all the Eagles were willing to offer and Peters was not going to report...... We are going to get a good player at 28......I dont have a problem with giving up our 3rd (I would rather give up a 4th and a pick next year) to get Pettigrou Regardless of what happens....we have 2 first round picks.....there are going to be good players available at both 11 and 28. And the more time that goes on.....the more I think we could stand pat and get a pretty good TE in the 2nd round. Cornelious Ingram? I think the bills will take Pettigrou if he is there at 28 but could win here either way.
Kelly the Dog
As soon as the first two rounds are complete, the Broncos will be entertaining offers in the third or fourth round for Scheffler. They would be stupid not to, considering he is going to be a waste on their team this year, and he leaves after next year anyway. The problem will be a quick talk between his agent and the team that wants to trade for him, since he will want a new deal right away. This could kill the Bills chances but we have the money.
