Just in case I get banned (which seems likely), or I forget to pick (at least I have something in by default).
Can we make this one a $$ pool? I'm sure everyone will send in a check if we ask them nicely...
What happens after week 17? Do we simply tie? Does it somehow carry into the playoffs?
BuffOrange, who do you have left?
I can't believe this thing is still going on. Week 17 really sucks, but here's who I'm taking for the rest of the season (should it get that far):
Week 16: Dallas over Arizona
Week 17: San Francisco over Arizona
Check that. In light of Matt Cassel's appendectomy, I have revised my picks:
Week 14: SD over KC
Week 15: Miami over Buffalo
Week 16: Dallas over Arizona
Week 17: Houston over Jax
Just for my own benefit, I have already used: Tennessee, Green Bay, New England, New Orleans, Indianapolis, Pittsburgh, Baltimore, Kansas City, Tampa, Atlanta, NYJ, NYG. For week 13, I'll take Seattle at home over Carolina.
You're right. I forgot about Tim Dwight and Reche Caldwell (drafted from the 2nd rounder the next year). The problem is that it was almost a full decade ago and there's a ton of mis-information out there (see below). I could have sworn there was a pick in 2002 too, thanks for the heads up.

Since nobody answered your question...
According to the chart, no, a 1st and 3rd wouldn't be enough to move up from #5 to #1, hypothetically speaking. In fact, all of your picks wouldn't be enough to move up from #5 to #1. But that's just the chart. In reality, it's much more feasible. In 2001 Atlanta traded the #5 overall pick and the fifth pick in the third round for the #1 overall pick and drafted Michael Vick. The Chargers took LT at #5 and some bum CB in the third.
Forget Cincy over Buffalo. And although I am reticent to take a road team, I'll take Atlanta over St. Louis. I'll stick with NYG over Jax for week 12 and if it goes to week 13...well, !@#$. Hopefully I haven't been banned yet. Or hopefully I have...I dunno.
The Bleacher Report is consistently the worst source of information and insight on the internet, with the sole exception of the "official power rankings" that keep getting posted here and maybe TSW.
I'll take NYJ over Detroit this week. And since I'm about to be banned, I'll go ahead and take TB over Carolina in week 10, Cincy over Buffalo in week 11, and NYG over Jax in week 12 should it get that far.
haha, super. I was going to pick New England...but I already did. I guess this thing continues. Take solace in the face that the entire board is rooting for you here.
