  1. I am thinking the receivers are going to be so giddy with getting the ball delivered where it is supposed to be that they will make a ton of plays and in the end, Bills win big!
  2. he and Butch played it perfectly, now they can settle in on their west coach sofa with a couple of beers and watch the season go by. 18m to the good.
  3. Byrd was not leaving Buf to go to Cleveland... and anyway NO was very quick, they signed him up within hours of becoming a FA.
  4. You would think so but I keep thinking about that statement by Marrone that he wanted his '5 best linemen' out there. He seemed set on that even though Pears was clearly not a fit at guard.
  5. Valium was very minor trace so likely can be traced to the last time he was on a bender. Valium is good for the DTs, makes the hands less shaky. http://emedicine.medscape.com/article/166032-medication Benzodiazepines are considered the drugs of choice for the management of all stages of alcohol withdrawal syndrome, including DTs. They act on the benzodiazepine-GABA-chloride receptor complex, having a similar GABA-potentiating effect as alcohol. Prospective, randomized clinical trials have demonstrated the effectiveness of benzodiazepines in treating the symptoms and signs of alcohol withdrawal and have also shown a protective benefit against seizures.[11] Although they are thought by many to have a high margin of safety, the heterogeneity of the trials in interventions and in assessment of outcomes prevent definitive conclusions about safety and harms. The longer-acting benzodiazepines, such as chlordiazepoxide and diazepam, appear to be more effective at preventing the serious complications of seizures and DTs than are shorter-acting benzodiazepines such as alprazolam and oxazepam. Most experts recommend that intermittent IV bolus dosing of diazepam or lorazepam is the treatment of choice for drug therapy of DTs. In patients refractory to benzodiazepine therapy alone, barbiturates or propofol, and occasionally other drugs, may be added.[12]
  6. so he got his guarantee and his contract, comes from a good family and knows he will be able to retain his wealth, and is getting out as soon as possible to save the dementia risk. I think we will be seeing MUCH more of this, with the head injury issue now so front and center. Going forward, guys will get their big contract and the attendant signing bonus then tanking it (with the rest of their lives as their primary consideration). And I do not blame them.
  7. For sure he was an old-time and violent drunk. Why else would his wife CALL 911 when she could not find him? Because she knew he was hammered, and she could not find his car keys.
  8. Could it be more likely (and never known for sure) that he got into a heated, drunken argument with his wife and stormed out, pissed at the world? I can't see the guy getting hammered, going to bed, then sneaking out to go on a rampage in his vehicle. Very few people deserve to die. I don't consider Rob Bironas one of them. That's extreme. Not really, he was out of his mind drunk, risking the lives of everyone on the road and every pedestrian, and getting into threatening confrontations with strangers, threatening enough to warrant multoiple 911 calls from different callers. He easily could have taken 4 people with him. next time he might have. this way, there is no next time, and we are all safer because of it. while possibly no-one deserves it, if it had to be someone, might as well have been him. See ya Rob. "
  9. I feel this is a perfect moment for Orton and for the Bills both. Orton is inheriting likely the best receiver group of his career and a couple of stud tackles. The Bills are sitting in first place in their division with a stout defense, some weapons on offense, and perhaps require only a caretaker kind of QB.
  10. what I read (not sure it is true of couirse) is that Cujo has a degenrative arthritic condition in his knee. If true, he is never going to be better than he is right now, and it will be a slow decline into an artificial knee in 30-40 years. Bo Jackson's hip. Again not vouching for it..... but that is also why Cujo slipped from first round surety to second round question mark.
  11. This is Hogan time! easley also may finally break through, get catch #3.
  12. not the yips so much, he just got a case of Captain Checkdownitis and anytime he aired it the throw was terrible or it was on the hands and a drop by the receiver.
  13. If EJ is very lucky, he can parlay his 14 games of experience into a long time back up role. Like the next 10 years. Get paid, without getting concussed. Maybe his luckiest day was last Sunday.
  14. Reggie Bush certainly has pretty good career numbers. Combined all purpose yards RB has had an excellent career, and he is still playing after forever.
  15. Da'Rick is their secret weapon. They will keep him non active until at least mid-season then give him a game as a change of pace guy and he will get 100+yds and a touchdown. Then nothing again for the rest of the season. If that happens (happened last year) he is better than Mr. Hogan.
  16. meanwhile Detroit taking it to the Jets... but Miami killing Oakland too
  17. well the defense on again. this is our best chance to score a TD.
  18. they did not score a TD, but at least they used 2 time-outs...
  19. I think Mike Williams scored a few time at his previous team....
  20. field position improving a couple of yards each time, by the end of the half we should get a FG
  21. they should not hit Fitz too hard... don't want him leaving the game!
  22. Mike Williams looks over his head as a receiver too.
  23. I agree, people should have the dogs hey want. But, some breeds should have a muzzle requirement when in public, and there should be a stricter punishment if your pit gets out from the backyard, than you golden retriever does. including putting the pit down the second time it happens. Golden retrievers are great dogs! Enjoy.
  24. that is funny, a story about a cocker spaniel attacking a pit. that must be it! Please muzzle your dog, as it may get attacked by a cocker at any moment!
