SDS
So, for some technical reasons - I need to change out our current menus on TBD. While doing lots of thinking about menus - I wondered which style people preferred: 1. Hover over a section in the menu bar and the drop down magically appears 2. Click on a section in the menu to make the submenu appear I guess this comes down to the convenience of not having to click vs. the inadvertent mouse moving over and displaying the menu when you don't want it to. Guffalo
I'm a fan of the click, just my preference, the hover gets in the way of reading if you scroll over a section with the mouse.

SDS
an example for those who need it: http://www.stadiumwall.com/menu.html this would be compared to the current menu on TBD where the menus appear when your mouse moves over the menu bar. SDS
wow... I know this is just a small sample, but the overwhelming majority of drop-down/fly-out menus are "hover" (it is easier to implement), yet there seems to be a preference for "on-click".... My only concern is how the Safari browser on my iTouch will deal with them? It already has problems with outher sites with similar menus. WellDressed
The click please; hovering can lead to multiple attempts at gaining access to the wall.

Cynical
Clicks. I hate hover style menus. They may look 'cool' for the kiddies, but they can be a pain in the to navigate in and around.
