  1. I live just outside CLE (Parma area) and don't like OSU at all so I have no use for following Columbus-area media. I follow several CLE-area media on Twitter (because of my freelancing gig) but I didn't really see anyone post anything egregious.
  2. Same here. 92.3 The Fan was saying the same thing. The Ohio Media Twitter feeds I follow didn't really say anything negative about Kiko or the hit - the only ones I saw attacking Kiko were random fans, but to be fair I usually unfollow idiots pretty fast, so some obnoxious media types could have been venting at the Bills and I wouldn't have seen it.
  3. Yes, the one in Sheridan. Never been to the OP one, and never had any issues at the one on Sheridan. It is a required stop on every trip home.
  4. We drove in to Niagara Falls from Cleveland last weekend. Went to the Amerks-Monsters game on Friday, hit Duff's on Saturday, and me & the missus came back with an extra couple pounds apiece. Well worth it.
  5. I remember the same thing happening when I was watching a game at a bar in Tallahassee - Flutie fans cheering every hit on Johnson. My wife and I walked out at halftime, disgusted.
  6. I have no problem with the breast cancer awareness month and the pink stuff. (Although some do - see pinkwashing.) I would like to see prostate cancer awareness get some play from the NFL with some of the powder blue stuff. MLB does that on Father's Day and it wouldn't hurt to help raise some awareness and funding for prostate cancer research. Prostate cancer is just as serious for men and breast cancer is for women, but way behind in research and funding.
  7. The trick plays thing was what frustrated me. While I don't mind a trick play here and there, I hate gimmicky offenses like what Clemson was running. The reporter for the Tallahassee Democrat made an interesting obersvation - how many plays did Clemson actually just send Watkins out into a pattern versus all the pre-snap decoy stuff and throwing and all that? Watkins is so tough to cover, I'd send him out and take my chances with mismatches - either the opponent trying to cover him one-on-one him, or double-covering him and leaving Hopkins or Elllington in single coverage. EJ was phenomenal. I kept waiting for the big mistake, the INT, or the miss blitz read, but he was outstanding. Really, really impressed with his play.
  8. No doubt, but the promotions and games and whatnot have to support the game, not overwhelm it. It's a tough line to walk sometimes. Going through the article, I see a lot that Harrington nailed. The bathrooms need updating. The concourse is too dark. The seating areas are too dark. The seats and roof look weathered and in need of replacement or at the very least, repainting. Throughout the stadium there isn't much in the way of signage that celebrates the current or past teams.
  9. Check out Mike Harrington's column on what he's noticed around Pilot Field/Dunn Tire Stadium/Coca-Cola Field over the last couple years. http://www.buffnews..../120909627/1086
  10. I absolutely love that Twitter is blowing up with other teams' fans complaining about the deal and how it doesn't matter because we suck anyway.
  11. I don't post often in Mario Williams threads, but when I do, I do it from 30,000 feet.
