WTF happened there?

First Maye was down inbounds but the refs stopped the clock

Then I think there was a play and the refs ran off 10 seconds but added 2 seconds back on

Then the Pats run a play with .06 left and the clock never started until after the guy was tackled 10 yards down field

Then the refs put .02 on the clock and let the Pats kick a FG

That FG attempt should have never even happened but incompetent Refs doing their thing yet again against the Bills

The Bills should file a complaint with the league because that whole sequence was BS, luckily it didnt cost them the game.

Thoughts?

Dude - I'm with ya 100%. Was yelling at the TV so loud my wife was annoyed. That was true cheating. Full stop. That clock was at zero. Total BS scenario by the refs and Vrabel in their ear.

thus was a booth review to when he was down in bounds , then 10 sec penalty if no team wanted to use a time out. Neither did.

this is standard practice in in bounds/ out of bounds plays or receiver caught/ not ….time is restored to when incident happened then they go from there

official keep time on field.  Thry ruled NE called time out.

a move by Buffalo is if the back tripped up but they did not touch him and let the clock run out.

thevrules were followed. NE coach called time out as he had told the side judge he’d do after the play ended.

That's not the point. The point is.. the refs should NEVER had effed it up in the first place. Maye was in bounds and down. Clock rolls. Max got up swinging his arm to run the clock. It was freaking clear as day. The stoppage by the refs was the issue. NE would have to use a TO right there and still make a play to get into FG range after the TO. They essentially got a free time out. Was total BS garbage.

That was annoying.  The Maye run wasn’t even close.  Clock never should have stopped.  They probably saved a few seconds and/or a timeout.

I went back and self-timed the Stevenson run at the end of the half.  He still probably slides with :02 seconds on the clock but again they might not have a timeout.

Correct - this is THE issue. NE would NOT have had a time out. That initial stoppage was the issue.

The Pats* caught a few breaks yesterday for sure. So much technology surrounding the game and they can’t get something simple like this sequence right. It matters because there were points in play.

It was a crazy sequence of events.  The Bills also probably made a poor choice to not keeping the WR propped on that last play and let the clock reach zero

I think he slid and gave himself up (which was smart)

The Josh nullified TD was BS, and could of changed the outcome.  That was a phantom hold call against Cyrus, who almost never gets called for a hold  t put us instead at 3rd and 15, But Josh still had his cape on, and threw TD to Knox, the best FU  to the refs ever

"DO YOUR JOB!"

The usual weird stuff that happens at Gillette Stadium. Old habits die hard. There's a still a lot of things stlll in place from the Belichick days.

Just Give It To Them game.  Its such a famous screw job, just google - Just Give It To Them Game- it will pull up the screw job.  Dude caught the ball on 4th down, in front of the First Down Marker, and several feet out of bounds.  All after refs said "Just Give It To Them"  Pats have time for 1 play, and throw a Hail Mary.  The Bills stop the Pats again, for the 2nd time.  But for the only time I can recall, in any NFL or College game, they called pass interference, on a Hail Mary,  and gave the Pats 1 more more play at the 1, and scored.  Refs fixed Patriot victory over the Bills, who clearly won the game.

I love how the announcers just skipped over it like it was no big deal. Between them having an ***** every time the cheats scored to the blatant time clock cheating incident. They were just horrible.

Who knew JJ Watt was such a closet Pats fan the whole time he played? His commentary was radio homer-level stuff and had no business on a broadcast.

I realize it wasn’t the national game, so at least the majority of the country wasn’t subjected to his mad ball-washing of all things Vrabel.

Officials always keep time on the field.

And there are what, 8 refs on the field?  are they synchronizing their watches every play because I don't see them grouping up after every play to do so.  So who is the "Main clock keeper" in that situation?

They're still cheating.  As long as they have McDaniels on the sidelines it's a given.  Weird clock stuff is not a new thing by any means.

Replay Assist and the end of half clock was beyond ridiculous. Similar to the spotter in the Houston game but AWOL during the Bengals game with Higgins!

First, I couldn’t believe the ref called Maye out of bounds as it wasn’t even close. Like a whole yard from being out of bounds. It would have taken them far more than 10 secs to get back to the line and spike it. They would of had to use a TO which would have changed their playcalling with no timeouts remaining.

I literally have no clue when replay assist chimes in versus looking the other way. I don’t know why they didn’t review the Boutte pass but immediately reviewed the Cooks pass. Make it make sense?

But with all that said, it was ridiculous how easy we allowed them to get into FG position.

Clock shenanigans happening again as they are known for back during their SB runs. Another classic cheat for them is to jam the visiting QB communication signals during an important drive. It was funny to hear the announcers say that New England won't be able to use theirs on the following drive, but it is a huge advantage for NE to jam the visiting teams' communications during the most important part of the game.

I missed this. What happened?

It used to happen in the Manning/Brady days:

History of Accusations

"Spygate" Allegations: Following the initial Spygate investigation in 2007, several former New England employees alleged that the Patriots would frequently scramble or jam the opposing team's coach-to-quarterback headset frequencies during games at Gillette Stadium. One team reportedly asked an NFL official to sit in their coaches' box to witness it happen.

Specific Incidents:

- 2007 Browns Game: A team source for the Cleveland Browns claimed their coaches lost communication with quarterback Charlie Frye eight to ten times during a game in Foxborough.

- 2006 Jaguars Playoff Game: Former Jaguars coach Jack Del Rio stated his team's headsets "mysteriously malfunctioned" for most of the first half of their playoff loss to the Patriots.

- 2015 Steelers Game: During the 2015 season opener, the Pittsburgh Steelers experienced significant headset problems, including picking up the Patriots' radio broadcast in their headsets. The NFL attributed this incident to a stadium power infrastructure issue exacerbated by inclement weather, a statement the Steelers questioned.

- Other Teams: Representatives from several other teams have also reported experiencing similar problems with their coaches' equipment when playing at Gillette Stadium.

I thought the punch on the sidelines was funny. One flag and then they huddle up and determine there is offsetting penalties

Totally forgot that! Again just ridiculous that they called offsetting penalties.

The official clock is handled by the ref on the field.  There is no way that play took 6 seconds before they could call TO, it was fine.  The Bills D was not as fine.

Oh!!! Ok I thought it was something from yesterday. I remember headset gate and the radio somehow being piped in on opposing teams headsets
